I can't say I've ever been more pleased with an oil change experience. And I'm a girl who hates going to car places to have anything done. After reading the previous reviews, I was a little wary about taking my car here - but I realized that a review from someone who goes to get their oil changed without any money probably really shouldn't carry any weight. I showed up here on a Saturday morning. Ashton greeted me immediately, discussed what I needed done, (even suggested an inspection that I turned down, as mine expires in 3 days) and I was on my way to run errands with my boyfriend. I did receive two phone calls regarding my air filter and my fuel filter - which are obvious upsells - that I declined. My car was ready in a timely fashion. I had the Signature Service oil change - and I used the $5 off online coupon. It was vacuumed wonderfully, no dog hair to be seen. (My dog is going to be pissed when he realizes that the eau de him is gone.) The package even includes window washing. All in all, very good service for what I received. NOT to mention, the employees opened every single door for me - going in and out. Eddie, the manager, even had my car pulled around - and even walked me out to get my car door for me. Everything was fine, my oil got changed and they were pretty fast. Customer service was HORRIBLE from the cashier. There was a Groupon for the New Braunfels location so I asked if they honored it at this location too. Michael say "no" rudely and rolled his eyes. Cmon' bro I was just asking a simple question no need for the attitude. When I said something to him about it he apologized, but I was off put by initial response. I have taken my cars here for several years. 9 times out of 10 all goes well. Sadly last time the cap on my filter was left loose and my car lost all its oil. They agreed to pay for damages. Still waiting for the $. Could have burnt my engine. Keep a close eye when you go, if you go. read more

I usually change my own oil, but I don't have as much time as I used to. They changed my oil and filter, not really a hard job, so it's kinda hard to fuck up. price was about $70. About $40 worth of high mileage oil, which means they get about $30 or so for labor. There are apparently cheaper places to get your oil changed, but you get what ypu pay for when it comes to service. You don't want some morron over torqueing your oil plug. I'll probably go here again if I can't change my own oil again. read more

There was nothing jiffy about the lube I received today. I took my car in to get an oil and filter change and my tires rotated, and two hours after we had arrived we left with our car. I'm not a mechanic so I could be wrong, but I don't think it should take two hours to put in 4 quarts of oil, change a filter, and rotate four tires. Not only were they slow, but they also spilled coffee on the hood of my car and neglected to wipe it off. The only good thing that has come out of my experience with Jiffy Lube is that I have resolved to learn how to change my own oil and filter so I never have to give them any of my time and money ever again. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I stopped going to the San Marcos location after they dented my car door which also left a black mark on my white vehicle the summer of 2016. Recently I had to go there because I was driving by and noticed my headlight was out. The worker told me I needed both bulbs replaced. I found that odd because I drove there while it was dark and could see with one light. So, I knew a mechanic buddy could check this after if I was being ripped off. I paid for both and noticed on the drive home that the actual bulb that needed to be replaced was shining much brighter than the other one that I felt didn't need to be replaced. Later in the day I went to my mechanic friend. He checked it and the bulb that I suspected was fine was not replaced. He even showed me that it was dirty compared to the new one. Do not go to the San Marcos Jiffy Lube. They will rip you off. read more

Very slow service. Took over an hour and a half to get my oil changed! My car set out front for the first 45min with no one in front of me. Three car bays and they where only using one. I watched them turn away about 3 or 4 people the whole time I was here. I do not know what happened to this place it was good at one point. read more

Hey, gotta say: I'm a girl so I know absolutely nothing about cars. Thank goodness there is such a thing as a fast, cheap place to get in and out with an oil change before I grow another gray hair. I called ahead and made sure that I could get in somewhat efficiently and drove over. I parked my car behind one of the portals, gave one of the young guys my name and walked inside to read a magazine. The gentleman that was taking care of my car came in, talked with me about what kind of oil I wanted (uh, yeah just the basic oil will do nicely, thank you), told me that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced (oh, does it?), and led me back inside. My oil change was done quite quickly, thank you very much, and hopefully it was done well. I'm guessing so, it's pretty basic. Thanks Jiffy Lube. read more

Yesterday, I came here with the intention of getting my state inspection but the inspector called out, so instead two gentlemen were really kind and replaced my cabin air filter for me because I had the part but no idea how to do it. They told me to come back at noon because that's when the inspector should be coming in. I came back, only to find a 45 minute wait so I left. I came today in hopes of getting the inspection, but was greeted by a girl that was originally sitting and smoking. Mind you, I just sat on the phone waiting for someone to answer until I was disconnected (there's no voicemail option). Not only was she just sitting around ignoring the phone, BUT SHE ALSO KEPT HER CIGARETTE BURNING WHILE COMING TO ASK ME WHAT I WANTED. I told her what I was here for and she started walking away and told me to move my car. She was leaving before our conversation was over so she could attend to the car that drive up AFTER me. She didn't even tell me how long of a wait I'd have. I've been here for an oil change a couple months back and yesterday to replace my cabin air filter, and haven't had a bad experience but this woman just ruined this place for me. read more

We received excellent customer service from the time we drove up. The staff was very thorough with my husband on the details of my Fiat. We appreciated that they pointed out about the skid plate and I handled it with the other Jiffy Lube immediately. Absolutely terrible. I waited over 40min for a simple safety inspection. My truck has over 500 ft lbs of torque. First thing the guy does is get in my truck, push down the parking brake, throw it into drive and expect my parking brake to stop my truck from rolling. He wouldn't pass my inspection because my parking brake won't stop the truck in gear. What a moron read more

Took my Mini Cooper in for a simple oil change. They drained my oil, added the new oil, but did not put the oil cap fully back on. I barely got out to the highway before my engine exploded with thick, white smoke. I filed a claim with Jiffy Lube, and after two and a half weeks (without a car) I finally get denied the claim. I will never take my car to Jiffy Lube again. This seems to be a new problem and it needs to get solved before they get themselves sued. Very disappointed. read more

I received an oil change on Saturday afternoon and as I was on my way to Marshalls my hood started fuming. I parked my car to find that oil leaked everywhere and that a filter wasn't screwed on and was hanging off the bottom on my vehicle. I immediately towed it to Jiffy Lube where the manager took full responsibility and promised me a rental the very next day with paying all damages in full. The motor was pretty much burned out and j refused to leave with the vehicle due to their negligence. Today I did not receive my rental since the manager was conveniently out and the employees were rude. I'm giving the manger till Monday to give me my rental for their stupidity. This is an extremely stressful situation and by the looks up it this has happened to many others from reading Facebook and yelp reviews. If they don't follow up on their promises by Monday I will have to take a different route to find justice. I'm extremely disgusted by the lack of ethics after reading the reviews and my personal experience. I don't know how corporate has not gotten involved. This is so devastating. Please turn around and stay far away from this place. I regret ever stepping foot into this facility and letting them work on my car. I should've just gone to Walmart where I never have had issues. Please DO NOT come here if you want to have a functioning vehicle. read more

I have been both sides of the Automotive industry for all my life and have screwed together some very expensive $1M + cars in my time. Needless to say, I shudder even letting someone touch my car, let alone work on it. Even though the Yelps were terrible about this place, they were all pretty old, so I decided to give them a shot on my late model crew cab pickup. I am very glad I did. From the friendly getting on these guys and girls worked like a well oiled pit crew. My truck was in and out quicker than any lube I've ever had and with no greasy paw prints or leaks anywhere. They cleaned all my windows and vacuumed the inside and all with a great attitude. Give yourself an early Christmas present and give the new team at Jiffy Lube a second chance. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! I have been using them for the last few oil changes, but never again. I was watching them and when they tried and close the hood on my new car (6 months old), they forgot to lower the rod holding the car hood open. So the employee just kept pulling harder and harder. This is a standard feature on most new cars. I quickly came out and ask the manager and was told not to worry, because the technician had bent to rod back straight enough. Also, he said the guy would get written up. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE GUY, I just wanted them to pay for replacing this $15.00 part. He said they would contact the area manager, but of course, he has never contacted me. CAUTION: if they mess up or break something on your vehicle they will fight with you and refuse to pay for or repair the damage. Quick is good, but doing a Good job is much more importation. . read more

I was a little hesitant to take my car to jiffy lube after they sold my wife on a $50 oil change. They did give her the deluxe oil treatment though. We learned that you just have to tell them what service you want, and want you don't want since they also offer you additional services. Also, being the day before Thanksgiving, I was expecting it to be crowded just like it had been the day before. I was surprised to hear that they were opening up at 630am to accommodate everyone. I went over around 7 and was greeted as soon as I pulled up. I was told it would take about 10-15 minutes which was about right. They courteously offered to replace the air filter for $15 which I courteously declined. I got the basic oil change service for $41.99 plus tax plus a $15 off coupon which brought the grand total to $29. They also topped off all the fluids and vacuumed the floors. The car ran very smoothly during our 600 mile drive and is still running smoothly a week later. read more

I've had good experiences with this place, however, it is NOT Jiffy. They are very busy most of the time. Each time I go there to get things done they give me one sort of discount or another, even if I don't have a coupon with me. I've been very happy with their service. I went in for a top off and as I pulled up I was greeted by the manager. He asked what I needed and I said a top off. He then made the most annoyed face and turned around and walked away waving his hand instead of walking up to my car and greeting me. "Fast and Friendly" my butt. A customer was leaving so I was able to pull in right away thankfully. I then told the manager helping me I had already checked the oil and would just like power steering and washer fluid. He checked the power steering and then opened the washer fluid cap and closed my hood. This guy did not even put a single drop into my car. I had also asked about preventive maintenance that I know they o and he told me go to a fun service shop. I think he just did not want to do the work. I have been to many jiffy lubes and this was by far the worst I've ever been to. I went to just brakes next door where they were more than happy to see me and more than happy to top off my washer fluid. If I could give 0 stars I would without hesitation. If they can't even fill my washer fluid who knows if they even change your oil or top your other fluids off. read more

Went in one morning but line was long & employee helpfully suggested I return between 7-10 am for their early bird special. So I went back another day before 10am. I asked two employees if they still had the early morning special & was told by TWO employees that Unfortunately the promotion had ended but that I would be allowed to get the special early bird price. I handed over the keys. Fast forward/ I went inside and after a few minutes as I was being advised to upgrade to a higher cost oil ( by another/3rd employee) I mentioned the early bird discount price, but this time was told they could not do that any more & would not honor what the other TWO employees had told me BEFORE I agreed to the service. He also said that it would be after 10 am. before they would finish so another reason they would not honor discount price. ( I got there about 9:45 am). I was going to add tire rotation but decided no, & said never mind, cancel my service ( quietly said, no drama) the employee behind the desk NEVER said "I'm sorry about the misinformation" or apologized for any inconvenience, just stated flatly "we don't do that anymore" acted like he didn't care about losing a customer . Even though I came at 11 AM, this place was packed and took about 45 minutes. After I told them I just wanted an oil change, they tried to get me to spend 100 dollars on air filters when mine were still good, and wanted to work on my transmission even though it wasn't due for maintenance and had no problems. The lady I dealt with looked very impatient and would only give me separate prices - not a total - so I kept having to do math in my head. Then my favorite part was when jogged with me to my car, said "havagoodday" with no expression, and I got in to see that they had opened my glove box and literally dumped all its contents. Medicine all out of the box, CDs all over the floor, even my GPS dumped out like it was trash. I was too tired of dealing with them to complain, but I really wish I had.
