Watch out for this place, they will insist you need synthetic oil and try to over charge you. I took my 15 Silverado for a regular oil change and expected to pay no more than $50. I show up and Alejandro looks up on his computer and says "oh you have the high end truck, it takes full synthetic, it's going to run you $127 plus tax." I laugh and say that's funny, the last two years the dealer has been using regular oil, NOT synthetic and as a matter of fact, I took it to pep boys for the last oil change and they also used regular. He kept insisting that his all mighty computer was correct and would not agree to use regular oil. Needless to say I left this rude establishment and will never return. If you want to get robbed for your money, come here! read more

I took my 2003 Tacoma to Jiffy Lube to take advantage of their $29.99 oil change special. Unbeknownst to me, the service people conducted a thorough inspection of the truck, and found several mechanical issues. Alejandro said my battery needed replacement (I recently purchased the battery at Auto Zone). Alejandro further stated the valve covers needed new gaskets as they were worn and leaking oil. He provided an exorbitant estimate on the valve job stating it was several hours of work. Later, I had the battery checked at Auto Zone and it registered fine on the battery meter. Also, I checked the bolts to the valve covers and noticed they were loose. Before leaving, Alejandro showed me a photo on his iPhone saying my left rear shock absorber had broken off at the base (I recently had my tires rotated at America's Tire and the shocks were fine). Alejandro quoted me an exorbitant price to replace both shocks. I will never ever take my truck back for service! read more

Jiffy Lube appears to still be in the business of scamming their customers. Today I drove past the Jiffy Lube on the way to work. They were advertising a banner on the driveway that said "CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY, OIL CHANGE, $16.99". I thought that was a good deal so after work I came in to check it out. I knew that Jiffy Lube had a shady reputation of doing oil service without changing the oil filter, as documented in a news investigation some months ago. But I figured that was a while ago and maybe they cleaned up their act. It appears Jiffy Lube is still finding ways to scam their consumers. The mechanic courteously welcomed me as I pulled my car in to the service area. He asked me if I was here for the "customer appreciation special". I said yes, but, then asked if the oil change was $16.99 and included a filter change. The mechanic said no, and that I needed to purchase $80+ of other services to get in on this deal. Upon much closer inspection, the "CUSTOMER APPRECIATION OIL CHANGE for $16.99" banner had very small print underneath it saying so you needed to buy the other stuff, but the print was so small that you would need to literally be 5 feet away from the banner to see it. So I said no thanks to the mechanic, but then the mechanic insisted to badger me about why i wouldn't want to still get an oil change and buy their other services blah blah blah. I said "I'll pass". I wanted to get out of there. I asked him if I could drive through the service area so I could exit safely. He replied bluntly "No." So i was forced to unsafely back out of the Jiffy Lube driveway in front of ongoing traffic. I knew Jiffy Lube got caught ripping off customers in the past by pretending to change the filter without actually doing so. Apparently Jiffy Lube is still coming up with creative ways to deceive and rip off unknowing customers. Suffice it to say I will not do business with Jiffy Lube ever again. read more

I usually get decent service at oil change places but I drove further to come to the Whittier location because of the yelp reviews. I have previously gotten my oil change at this location last year and got good service from the manager Jose and his staff. The manager remembered me from a year ago today but greeting me and saying you're back! He have me no hassle using my $15 off Yelp coupon and he also made friendly conversation. I went there with my son, the service was reasonably quick and he recommended to get my carbon filter changed which I knew wasn't a gimmick because I was recommended to change it somewhere else before and decided to do it here. He let me know what I needed with no pressure to get it, I got synthetic oil for my vehicle as usual and was not disappointed that I drove a few extra miles from Norwalk/Downey area for the customer service here. I highly recommend this location! I will definitely be back anytime I need an oil change or servicing from now on. read more

Was late on Sunday afternoon and had low air pressure in my tire. no tire shop was able to fix my tire. I went in to Jiffy Lube and they put my spare tire on for me. I was so very grateful. Don't know what I would have done without your help. Thank you so very much. read more

Has the management changed? They didn't use to upsell AND they used to give my windows a good wipe-down when I went in for an oil change. I also have a sneaking suspicion I might have been overcharged for labor...I've had a longer service checklist in the past and the labor fee came up to only $13, and this time around I was charged $40 for minor services.
