I never thought I would say this, but Subway has been replaced as my least favorite sandwich place. The sandwiches are overpriced, small, underfilled (except for lettuce; there's plenty of that!), and very disappointing in every way. We tried a #2 and a #4. Neither had cheese (this is 'Murica isn't it?) and the employee didn't ask if I wanted any. The menu says the sandwiches are 8", which they are. But they are only about 2" in diameter, if that. A standard grocery store hot dog bun has more girth than these complete sandwiches. There is a thin layer of meat which is "bunched up" to give the appearance of more meat. The employee handed me the two sandwiches and said, "feel free to take a bag." Do I need to pay extra to have my to go order bagged? $12 for two disappointing small sandwiches? On 12/6 went to buy two sandwiches for my son and I. I asked for his to have double provolone. When I got home no double provolone. I drove all the way back and the staff was rude and charged for another slim 6 with the order I should have had to begin with. Very poor customer service. They may be fast but they don't always get it right. We used to like this sub shop maybe the manager should teach his staff about customer service. What made it worse it was pouring rain. read more

This place was awful. The cashier was a young woman who was super rude. She had headphones in one of her ears and was clearly listening to music while I was ordering. Not surprisingly, my order was wrong. My husband was supppsed to have avocado spread on his sandwich but there was barely anything there. I've been coming here for a while now. The food is consistently good but the quality of service is hit or miss. Christina clearly has a chip on her shoulder. My first impression of this was how she treated the customer in front of me who had something wrong with her order as well. At any rate, she got my order wrong and was very rude about it. I ordered a cookie and she rang up chips. I asked for an iced tea and she gave me a coke. She wanted to argue when I asked her to correct it and ultimately told me they were out of cookies even though they had a small stack sitting on the counter. The sandwich also didn't taste right so I ended up throwing half my order away. I have never had such awful service before but one thing for certain is I won't be back. read more

Jimmy Johns is known for making fast sandwiches. I ordered a Vito's sub, which is practically an Italian sub with salami, olive oil, lettuce and your choice of bread. Service here was very fast but I gotta say it's just a sandwich I could make at home. It was good but I wouldn't say great. Just my opinion. The sandwiches we received tonight were cardboard iterations of the submarines we ordered. I've tried this place several times and experienced varying levels of disappointment. I returned hoping that I would get a sandwich remotely as good as the consistently crisp pickles. The pickles are quite good, but the breads, meats, ordering, and poor customer service exemplify yet another hyper-corporate cattle feeding operation. I have been going to this Jimmy Johns location for approximately 3 years now. The reason for this is because of the excellent service and attitudes of the staff. I have only good things to say about the employees who work here. Ivane and Courtney, the newest managers are some of the most friendly and helpful restaurant workers I have ever encountered. The reason for my 2 star rating, however, is due to the fact that the restroom here has been out of order for over 3 months now; and at this point, it is ridiculously pathetic. I eat here every week and several times now, I have witnessed customers desperate for a Bathroom find no luck. This wouldn't be a problem normally; but it has been an obscene amount of time for the upper-management of Jimmy Johns to get it fixed. And still nothing. Everything about this restaurant is fantastic, but this here is just unacceptable. I blame the higher-ups for not taking proper care to their Lake Forest location. I have lost a bit of respect for Jimmy Johns and quite frankly, they will lose a customer very soon if this is not fixed. read more

We ordered a 30 piece party box for our son's birthday party to be delivered on 2/1 at 11am. The brand manager, Briana, assured us that it would be delivered at 11am "sharp". We called at 10:55am on 2/1 to make sure the sandwiches were still coming. The employee said the driver will leave soon. At 11:15am, the sandwiches still did not arrive. We called the store again and the employee told us the sandwiches will be wrapped up soon. We were very upseet and cancelled the order. This was a very disappointing experience. So it saddens me to say that the sandwich I got from this store the other day was one of the saddest smallest sandwiches I have ever gotten. The bread was dry and overcooked. I picked up a lunch sandwich today, which was very good as expected. I witnessed an exchange with a particularly obnoxious woman patron that had ordered I assume online or by phone. Came in without a mask and t to be staff handled it perfectly. Asked her to wait outside and they would bring her order to her. She grumbled that the mask requirement wasn't the 'law'. The staff pointed out it is the store and company policy. She waited outside briefly, stewing, and wanting to make a point, came back in. They ask her to wait outside and she refused. Delivery is so fast I got scared when the door knocked. Crazy fast. Price is reasonable. Now for starters I HATE sandwiches it's my least favorite food next in line to pizza. So for me to give a positive review of a sandwich shop is a big deal. I defaulted to sandwich delivery because my regular Chinese delivery was closed. It was my first Jimmy John experience. I'm impressed and will likely order from them again. Friendly staff, quality food with large portion sizes. I ordered a couple and then lived off the left overs a few days. Chips great, veggies were fresh, staff helped me create my own sandwich. Only suggestion to corporate is potato salad would go great with your sandwiches rather than chips. read more

The 2 ladies working at 5:50 pm 5-11-21 are both miserable at there job and don't show any enthusiasm to be able to work there and have a job in the first place. Me and 2 friends both ordered and asked for the usual oil and vinegar etc which she had failed to put on them and everything else she put just a dab of so it was a very dry sandwich she made before I was even done paying. Then to top it off I go back in the ask for a side of oil and she is hiding under the bread rack texting not even aware that I am in the store. We've ordered twice here via the JJ app, and both times it took an hour plus to have 3 sandwiches made. (second order is now 1:45...and ticking) The first time, I waited in the store for the order. I was told "your order is next", yet order after order went in and out before ours were made. There were 4 employees, mostly standing around, disorganized. Then 2 of them went on break. During a rush, poor planning on somebody's part to have half staff between 11 am and 2 pm. I see Yelp reviews from 2017 and they were much better than years since. I was a little skeptical before going in - not sure what to expect. One thing that bugged me is when you walk through the door and someone yells "Hello, there, how can I help you?" I mean, I just walked through the door, I haven't had a chance to look at the menu and read all the items. I haven't even come close to deciding what I want. Ok, maybe that can be fixed by the manager, manager can you tell your employees to give the customer a second to look at the menu and when the customer then looks at the server ask "can I help you?" Be that as it may - I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sandwiches. The counter person who ended up helping me was helpful, gave me time to decide what I wanted and gave me great suggestions. They made the sandwich faster than I can say "jimmy crack corn", so no real waiting. I've been back 2x for the italian sub, I'll be back more. Lastly, no it is not expensive. read more

I have made a purchase at this location a few times expecting to get something better than a super average sandwich. I've been disappointed each time. Worse than Subway. How hard is it to put my sandwich in a bag with a couple of napkins? What does a plastic sleeve with handles cost? A penny? The kids that work at this location are sarcastic punks. Five teenaged boys behind the counter laughing and giggling like a bunch of girls. One making a comment about an overweight customer under his breath and another one laughing.
