I got robbed on my 13 dollar Turkey Tom

This establishment hired borderline ret@rds or it may just be a Memphis problem! It amazes me how difficult it is to follow simple instructions. I do give them credit for keeping the place clean, but the food portions are very light for what we pay for.

    Bread that is hard.

No one said anything when I and two other people walked in behind me. Didn't ask how can I help you...just stood there waiting on me to order. I had to ask if she was ready. I was just like they were just standing around. No hospitality at all. The person made my sandwich just called, 4!, and set it on the counter. I had to bag my sub up myself. Just stared at me. Please lord teach these kids some work ethic. My first time and last time at this location. Now I know why I love Lennys. The bread was very hard btw.

We came in RIGHT before closing- and they still happily made our sammiches! Super sweet employees. Thanks for kicking but!

Bottom on a sandwich that was hard as a rock

I just brought home a sandwich from Jimmy Johns at 5181 poplar. Three employees in store were more interested in their phones than doing good customer service. I got home with my sandwich on stale bread, with the bottom part hard as a rock. Will never go again!!!!

I've mentioned my hatred of Jimmy's before in previous reviews- it's not that there's anything particularly wrong with the place I just don't get the hype behind it. If there's anything I really dislike, it would be the bread. It's hard as a rock and the ratio of bread to sandwich items is a way off for me. However, today my husband insisted we stop here and I realized they now have lettuce wraps. This place just got an extra star and is now bearable. The sandwich choices are much more pleasing to my palette without all that crappy bread. Kudos Jimmy's.

5 workers who take 30 minutes to make a sandwich. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Drove here at 8:35 and it's already closed. Hours say they close at 9. Same thing happened a couple days ago. The worst.

So... aside from getting an iced latte with a pump of mocha syrup, I decided to try their potato hash and a side of bacon. Both were delicious. The bacon wasn't cooked hard so I don't know if that is a deal breaker for you guys but I like mine with a decent chew and not all crunch. The potatoes were cooked with bell pepper and it was so good to me. The bell peppers weren't undercooked and everything had a good balance. My only take away was that I started to feel like it became greasy once I made it to the last few scoops, but thankfully, it wasn't like it was swimming in oil/grease. I also took note that despite it being a decent line, they were functioning fluidly so I really didn't feel like my wait was long at all. Gotta love sufficient service. I believe I spoke on the decor before, but if I haven't, the place is very quaint with outdoor seating. It gives off a local bakery with a hint of modern. Another thing I like is that you can see them prepping some of the baked goods as you wait.

A Great Bagel Shop With Pastries Worth the Detour!…read more We stopped by this bagel shop after a nearby coffee shop told us, "You have to try their pastries," and honestly, that recommendation was spot‑on. Even though the place is known for its bagels, the pastries ended up stealing the show. Everything we tried was fresh, flaky, and full of flavor -- the kind of treats that make you instantly glad you listened to a local tip. Once we saw the pastry case, my kids and I didn't even pretend to show restraint. We grabbed almost all of them so we could enjoy a full tasting session on our road trip home, and it turned out to be the best decision! Each pastry had its own personality -- some buttery, some fruity, some rich -- and not a single one disappointed. It made the drive feel like a little dessert adventure. It was truly hard to choose a favorite. The shop itself had a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and the staff was friendly and quick to help. Even though we didn't focus on the bagels this time, the overall experience made it clear why people love stopping here. If you're in the area -- or even passing through -- definitely check out their pastries. Pair it with a coffee from the shop nearby, load up a box for the road, and you've got yourself a perfect travel treat lineup!

Also ordered a side salad, personally I'd skip ordering that again it wasn't very special (no cheese, no croutons, rough chopped onions). I ordered online and was able to select the pickup time. I ended up needing to change the time so I called and it was easy to have them change that. The lady was super nice and helpful who I talked to. Inside was a bit chaotic, I'd say it's more of a grab n go type of establishment but there was some tables for sitting if you'd want to in a room off to the side. The pizza slice was pretty good - not horrible but not spectacular either. I would definitely come back one day for a freshly made whole pizza! I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella - the cheese tasted pretty fresh, the breading was good, and the marinara sauce tasted as if it was made in-house. It's a dish that probably would've been better eaten inside, because the heat and condensation from the container sorta softened the breading by the time I made it home. As some other reviews mentioned, the ambiance inside is a little dull. The soda machine was broken, so I'm not sure if drinks are available, but the young guys that were working were pretty friendly. The seating area seemed pretty spacious, though unoccupied.
