Regarding Jimmy's Egg in Mustang on Highway 152. I'm writing this review for my 85 year old Mother who has probably never even heard of YELP. Now I want to start this review with a statement that i am extremely prejudiced in my Mom's favor and am on her side. I grew up in Mustang. And am embarrassed at this hometown business. I expect better. I certainly do for my Mom. I want every day to be as perfect as possibly can for Mom. When a casual luncheon date with her 88 year old sister turns into a three day rant about how Jimmys egg cannot make a Club Sandwich. (A simple menu item) It came out and at first glance she says it looked looked like little round roll cut in half with some chicken and a tiny strip of beacon. The sandwich was so soggy it was inedible. It was not eaten. Mom was not happy. On a scale of 1 -10 Mom gives it a 1. Mom was to nice to tell them about the soggy Club Sandwich. So I am doing it for her. Lets pay attention to our quality PLEASE!!! I have heard this story about 5 times now... COME ON MUSTANG!!!

I met my friends here for breakfast.  Apparently it is a local favorite.  I thought it was ok.  Food was good, staff friendly.  I noticed some hiccups like getting our food before our utensils.  My  coffee was not hot, it was barely warm.  They carry the usual breakfast items from omelettes and pancakes.  I ordered an omelette with turkey, spinach, and cheddar.  I did not really taste the cheddar or Turkey.  It was good though. It would not be first choice for breakfast but it is safe bet for a decent breakfast at a reasonable price.  Only exception is the make your own omelette.  Basic price includes any 1 item with each additional item an extra 99 cents regardless of what it is.

The food was exactly how we ordered it. Our waitress asked if I wanted more coffee even though my cup was still halfway full.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I've been here twice and each time leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Adriana was our server last time and did an amazing job. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

This place is awesome!!…read more Came in about 930 on a Friday morning & it was PACKED!! We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were quickly greeted and given menus, place settings & ice water by one of the bartenders After about 5 minutes our order was taken - I didn't see the gluten free pancakes on the menu so I wasn't hopeful but when I asked the employee said that they do in fact have gluten free pancakes! I ordered pancakes 3 ways - creme brûlée, blueberry with lemon & a pig in a blanket along with 2 scrambled eggs & the candied bacon Hubs got the breakfast tacos, side of bacon and an Irish coffee Candied bacon came out with the Irish coffee quick - both were so good! I'm not a pepper fan so when I saw it on the candied bacon I was nervous, but it didn't overpower the flavor at all Next came the tacos & my smazing plate of gluten free PANCAKES!!!! The tacos looked good, but in all honesty I didn't ask if it was good because I was SO focused on my plate :) The pig in a blanket was my fave - the bourbon syrup was so good, there was a little spice to the sausage which was a nice balance The blueberry lemon was great - light, flavorful and just yummy The creme brulee which I was anticipating the most - was good, but wasn't my fave - maybe I was too full by the time I got to it but it wasn't as nummy as I'd hoped I'll be coming back next time I'm in town
