The menu consists of wraps, breakfast specials, sandwich plates, and much more. I ordered the New York Style Reuben Sandwich, which included twice-fried, crispy fries and a snappy pickle. If there's one thing I learned about deli sandwiches, they're messy - but that didn't stop me from licking all that Russian dressing dripping down my fingers (hush, it's not disgusting. A really good breakfast place with large portions and decent prices. This doesn't look like much from the outside, and is a bit grimey with very few tables inside. But once you stepped in, you will notice the incredibly huge menu with many different kinds of breakfast foods available. Sure, it's not usually a good thing when a menu is that large. However, we had a large and picky group and everyone seemed to like their food a lot, which says a lot. I got the Irish breakfast. It came with eggs, Irish bacon, sausage and black and white pudding. There was toast as well. While it might have sounded simple, the way they grilled the meat and cooked the eggs were just perfect - nothing was over or under cooked, and the flavours really came out. The whole dish had so much meat and was so scrumptious that I could barely finish 2/3 of it, stuffing myself in the process and really wishing I could bring the rest home with me. The place was small and we were rather crammed. It was also a bit confusing when we ordered. But the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. This is definitely a place I would stop by again, if only to try out more of their other dishes. read more

Went here today after I was TRAPPED in that area of Brighton from street closures for a road race. Was a little confused about how it works but I just asked a customer and they explained it was cafeteria style. I got the farmer's special and coffee. The eggs were fantastic, the home fries were better than usual diner home fries but could have used a little pep, and the sausage was super good. Pancakes were alright, should have asked for butter or blueberries. The service was great. I felt like I was in a true townie bar, unlike in the yuppie places (or even local places) in Brighton center where hipsters rule over the locals. Prob won't make a special trip to come here, but from the other reviews if I ordered something less boring than eggs and pancakes I bet I would. read more

I ordered takeout on a Friday night and it was done very fast! My friend and I ordered the garden salad with salmon and a steak and cheese sub with tomatoes and lettuce and a side of small fries. The salmon portion was extremely generous and the sub was awesome as well! Picking up the food was no problem (we got very lucky with parking). Been here a few times for breakfast and just had dinner there for the first time tonight. This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Hearty portions that feel like home cookin. Love the cafeteria style. The guys behind the counter are always friendly. I usually get some sort of breakfast wrap and home fries when I go hungover on Saturday mornings. Home fries are out of this world. I will admit, I've had much better breakfast wraps in my day, but they make up for their average quality with exquisite greasiness, and sometimes that's all you need. For dinner, I got their meatloaf with Mac and cheese and veggies on the side, topped with gravy. Meatloaf was unreal, Mac and cheese was classic if a little bland, and the veggies were surprisingly flavorful. Left completely satisfied. Will be coming back soon. read more

Been local to Jim's Deli for years and never had any issues, until yesterday. I walked in to order dinner to go and NONE of the staff were properly wearing PPE/face masks. One girl had a mask on with her nose out and line cooks weren't wearing any masks. So disappointed to see a local favorite fail at COVID safety requirements. I understand it's trying and hard times, but when your involved with food services safety is VITAL. So bummed, won't be returning for a long time if ever again. read more

Okay WOW. This is the hole in the wall I was searching for. They have all kinds of breakfast, sandwiches, platters, and fresh food that changes every day. Today it was brisket, bbq ribs, Buffalo chicken lasagna, and meatloaf. Everything was delicious, staff are SO friendly and helpful, I felt like I was part of a community. Almost everyone who walked in were regulars who the employees knew and struck up conversation with. I got the California wrap, a side of fries and a side of the Mac and cheese - all delicious, especially the Mac and cheese. **DINNER REVIEW** Came here on a Wednesday after work for dinner. This place isn't going to be very clean or anything extravagant. It's cafeteria style. This means that when you walk in, you grab a tray from the pile and bring it to the counter to order. They'll put on your food on a plate and place it on your tray. You'll then bring your tray to the cashier to pay and then you seat yourself. Kind of feels like being in a high school lunch cafeteria. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was; especially for food that's already been precooked and sitting out. Their menu is massive. They have different specials everyday. They have entrees such as chicken pot pie, lasagna, and meatloaf. And then they also have sandwiches and breakfast foods. Entrees come with 2 sides and a bread roll. Each entree is about $10 and the PORTIONS are huge. -- MEATLOAF -- I ordered this with a side of mashed potatoes and corn. I don't eat meatloaf all that much but this was very good. They cut you 2 pretty large slices and put it on the grill to heat it up. The meatloaf has lots of flavor, wasn't dry at all. Whatever is marinated on the outside of the meatloaf is a bit sweet and was really good. -- TURKEY -- They carve the turkey for you when you order. Comes with stuffing and 2 more sides. The turkey was well seasoned and wasn't dry either. -- ROAST BEEF -- The roast beef looked so perfect behind the counter. It's a huge slab and looked perfectly cooked with the middle slightly pink (looked med rare) which is how I like my steak usually. When you order it, they carve thin slices for you and put it in the grill to heat it up. I didn't know this but you def need to tell them HOW you want your roast beef cooked. Because like I said, I like my meat medium rare and by the time they finished grilling, it was well done. It tasted really good and it well seasoned, but it was pretty overcooked and dry. So I was a bit disappointed. -- CHICKEN POT PIE -- This was a bit disappointing. They bake the chicken pie in the huge metal tin and cut you a square. It looks good but it's so bland. There's huge pieces of chicken inside too but its so dry. -- AMERICAN CHOP SUEY -- We paid a bit extra to get this as one of our sides. I liked this a lot! They use a bit of a sweet tomato sauce and it has a lot of flavor! -- I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but if you happen to be in the area and a want a good meal that's big and reasonably priced, this is a great place to stop by. The staff and owner are very friendly, the portions are generous, the menu is long and the food is delicious. Texas Reuben- brisket, cheese, jalapeño poppers, slaw, 1000 island on rye. Every bite was filled with happiness and the perfect ratio of each ingredient. The thick cuts of brisket were moist and juicy. So good and so filling. Nikolai K. got the Buffalo burger which he thoroughly enjoyed.
