We ordered: - Chicken Naengmyun (5/5): I've never seen this type of cold noodle, it had a milky chicken broth with the wheat noodles, so delicious and light! - Sweet pumpkin katsu curry (5/5): the pumpkin was a great sweet touch! The pieces were really big with a nice neat block of rice as a dam! - Seollangtang (4/5): Good, but nothing crazy! Came here on a Saturday, was seated immediately. We ordered the popular jalapeño with cheese pork cutlet and curry along side rose teokbokki. The pork cutlet was very delicious but after a while it did get a bit harder and dry. But nonetheless the combination was very good, the curry had a very unique medicinal flavor to it which I personally liked. My favorite though was the rose teok, omg it was so delicious and creamy. It was walking distance in the hustle and bustle area of Glendale. Really easy to get to if you already found parking in the area. We ordered some marinated dumplings, some beef bone broth, and the spicy pork hot stone with cheese added (they blow torch the top to caramelize the cheese). Right after you order, they bring you some Banchan to munch on while you wait and to have when you get your dishes. I liked adding them to the bone beef broth. Got here around 6:30pm on a Sunday and the wait is about 5-10 minutes. We've been to this place a couple times and their menu is constantly changing - they recently added more vegan friendly options. I got the bulgogi hot stone with a fried egg ($2 extra) and it is pretty decent! The portion is relatively decent and the bulgogi is marinated well. The only thing is I wish the bulgogi is a little bit more juicer and tender but overall it's fairly good! I do like the side dishes like kimchi and Mac and cheese salad but wish they have fish cakes too. I was visiting glendale for the weekend and read about how good this place was. The food was great, especially the bulgogi, and the restaurant itself had a great vibe. The location of this restaurant is also prime on the strip! My only negative experience was with the service. When you first walk in, you have to ring the bell to get a host's attention. Throughout my dine in experience, nobody checked on me or refilled my water. I noticed the servers were catering more to tables with more guests. Since I dined by myself, I was ignored the whole time. After finishing my meal, I waited 25 minutes before somebody brought my check, mind you it wasn't busy. The store was pretty inside, modern but also has a vintage Korean look. Employees were all nice and service was overall great, too I ordered the Katsu and the spicy seolleongtang soup together and shared it with a friend, and it was the perfect amount. Katsu can be a bit heavy, but the soup helped balance it out. My other friend ordered the galbi which came with rice, and it was perfectly flavored and grilled well. Service was great, our food runner and server were very attentive. The menu had a variety of Korean dishes, in addition to Japanese and Korean fusion dishes. I got the beef bone soup with rice, my friends ordered : LA Korean BBQ Beef Rib, spicy tofu stew, marinated, dumpling, and two other soup items... I forgot which ones. The flavors were very homelike, and cozy. The only thing that I was sad about - they didn't have sea salt or perilla seeds. One of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. We went after they extended the opening hours to late night. The queue is long since early evening but fortunately we didn't have to wait so long. There are traditional dishes and fusion dishes. The shitake mushroom and the mushroom curry were my favorites! My friends really like rose toekbokki. They took the remaining thick soup to eat in the next meal. There were only 2 servers in a full house restaurant so they worked hard and it sometimes took time to get attention but food serving was pretty quick. Great vibes and celebrating atmosphere. Great Korean spot in Glendale. Originally was going to do AYCE Korean BBQ but decided to come here. My sis had been before and said the food was good. We were meeting up at 7pm on a Friday night. A lot of the lots were full, so we circled around for a spot. Found a metered parking which was $4 for 2 hours and my sister got the spot right next to me! The restaurant wasn't too busy yet, and I knew they didn't take reservations. We got a seat in a back booth. Ordered the mushroom jap chae, the Tteokbokki and the Kalbi. The dumplings looked good and were a "top choice" but we figured we had plenty of food. The ban chan came out first, which was delicious - kim chi, a spinach dish and radishes. Then the jap chae came out - which was really nice - a few different mushrooms. Usually jap chae has beef and is slightly oily but this was nice. The tteokbokki was also very tasty - nice kick to it! Parking: There was public parking that you register your parking slot in the machine and add your ph#. They use paper covers for their utensils, which I haven't seen in a long time and I like that. Everything was convenient including during payment. This is a great spot for Korean comfort food in Glendale! There is a parking lot behind the restaurant that you pay by hour. My party of 3 came on a Saturday mid afternoon and there was no wait. The menu has a variety of different Korean dishes like soups and Katsu which is served in their hot stone pot. We ordered the spicy Braised beef short rib (galbi jjim), spicy tofu soup (soon dubu), beef short rib soup (galbi tang), and ddukbokki. Spicy braised beef short rib ($50): we added cheese for $3 and this was a pretty good portion though it is stated to be for 2 people. The price is very reasonable for the amount of meat and toppings. I liked that it included sweet potatoes, rice cakes, and pumpkin. The sauce was sweet and tasted really good but it wasn't really spicy. Spicy tofu soup ($17): comes with a bowl of white rice, the soup was very flavorful and comforting Beef short rib soup ($21): I enjoy eating galbi tang because its very comforting and thw beef short ribs are usually tender. This wasn't the best galbi tang I've had but the soup was clean and hit the spot. I do wished they gave me a pair of scissors like most places do to cut the meat off the bone Ddukbokk ($16): this is a rice cake and fish cake dish in a red pepper paste. We added cheese for $3 and ramen noodles for $2. The flavor of the sauce was really good and the rice cakes were chewy and tasty. Overall a great spot for Korean food! I would come back if I were craving galbi jjim short ribs and had a small party. I also want to try their cheese or curry Katsu on stone pots because they seem to specialize in those. Love it because I'm a fan of spam haha nothing beats spicy soup with spam and a bowl of rice flavorful and delicious at the time and probably still is! This time I decided to leave a review but with the spicy beef soup (Yukgaejang) that I got. So i don't remember how this placed looked the first time but I'm sure nothing changed but it looks great! Comfy and pleasing to the eyes and vibrant with people enjoying themselves that evening. The menu has a variety of choices from soup dishes to noodle dishes to rice dishes and so forth. I chose this time to get the spicy beef soup (Yukaejang). The meal came with a bowl of rice on the side and in the photo it shows banchan but I think that came separately as an order I believe or I could be wrong but my friend ordered it not me but it was good either way also I substituted the glasss noodles that came with it to instant ramen noodles. Can I say when I dug into it that it was so good! Like you can taste the beef broth through the spice! The broth was delightful and delicious and it still was flavorful even when it was spicy and even then it wasn't too spicy but it was just right! The switch to ramen noodles was better in my opinion but I'm sure it tasted better with its original ingredient but I'm just not a fan of glass noodles in soup like without it I'm good with just not in soup. The soup was also not just good but interesting because the beef that was in the soup was shredded and like noodle length it was pretty cool! Literally beef noodles haha the banchan was good and I really enjoyed all of it but my favorite was probably the radish! The staff was great and attentive and they really helped with ordering off the menu and were helpful with my substitution! Next time I'm here I'm definitely gonna try their combo meal where you order from a choices of 4 types of Katsu and all for the price of $20 something! Very affordable and most likely well worth it! Our favorite Korean restaurant in Glendale! I wish they stayed open past 9pm. Everything they make is so fresh and delicious. We love their kimchi and always ask for refills. It's different style of Korean katsu but it was so good. The curry with the katsu was so delicious and hearty. I definitely recommend coming to try this place. The service was good but sometimes would take a while to get the servers. It is a smaller place and we were going closer to the time they were closing.
