Nice interior and snappy service for a top ramen experience. I lived in this area for a decade and for the life of me cannot remember what was here before but I REALLY like that people are coming and going in this spot and making it feel less dead. We have our favourite chicken ramen place in town but this place is really good too and I'd say "higher end" - not in price, but just the ingredients and broths are really chef-like. Great ramen and trendy decor at this Latest location of the franchise. Besides delicious ramen, they have an extensive cocktails and drinks menu. I got a beer to go with the Tonkotsu Red ramen. One star for the cocktail. didn't try the Ramen here, but I ordered a Yuzu margarita because that's one of my favorite variations of the classic cocktail. Unfortunately, not only was the worst Yuzu Margarita I ever had. It was one of the worst cocktails I've ever had. I'm not sure if there was any alcohol in. It just tasted like honey syrup and Yuzu. I could only take two sips. Bartender did ask how did I like it and I told her it was too sweet, but this was the first time I've had a bartender not offer to remake the drink or make me something else. Instead, she just giggled and said oh yeah, I like my drink sweet so this one is my favorite one. It's not about what you like right ? There's always some variation between bartenders so not exactly sure if she actually made the drink right? And or if she was really a bartender or just someone who covers that shift if they need and is really like a host or other restaurant staff who was " trained to make drinks " when the bartender gets off. Also three out of the four bathrooms were out of order and the last one was really messy . I felt like I got scammed. read more

First time at this location on West Broadway and it is spacious with lots of seating available for small or large groups available. No free parking available. Meter street or paid parking lots available around the area. Went with family for brunch as it just opened within 30 mins and was quiet. Greeted upon entry and seated. Food was savoury and flavourful. Nothing better than having ramen on a rainy day Had the following - * JINYA Chicken Ramen (with side addition of Crispy Fried Chicken) * Premium Tonkotsu Red (spice level 6, with side addition of Pork Gyoza) * JINYA Tonkotsu Original The broth hit the spot. The Crispy chicken was moist and had a great crunch. Spice level 6 for the Premium Tonkotsu Red was just right for me. Some kick but not where I lose the taste of the broth and numbing my taste buds. Can't go wrong with original. Always great to start with if unsure. Everything all good for and the reason I gave 4/5 stars is because of parking as it was not convenient which can take awhile to find and paid parking (weekend or weekday) but not surprised as it is west side of Vancouver. read more

Having been officially open just about a week, was time to try this location. Space is quite large, airy and open with good a/c. Some large communal tables, decent size bar seating and sat at the bar. Spicy ground pork miso ramen was on point as was the chicken. Broths were deep and complex, noodles cooked perfectly. Seasoned egg was very slightly over for my personal preference. Sauces on the side at the bar/table. Great matcha cold tea and prompt service. Was a holiday and a bit outside lunch hours. Small extra charge for crispy garlic chips but highly recommend. read more

Surprisingly the best JINYA I have been to. I would recommend getting the original tonkotsu ramen with the spicy tuna tempura. Other than that, the chicken karaage is extremely fresh and crispy. Last time me and my friends visited there was a promotion at the bar. Cocktails and Japanese beer are also one of a kind. Service is nice with actual Japanese employees. Overall atmosphere of the place eases your mood into a good Friday night. read more

We were sad when Jinya left Kerrisdale so we were anxious to try out this new outlet. We weren't disappointed, got a comfortable booth on the window and enjoyed the seldom found spaciousness. Summer special cold ramen Hiyashi was a pleasant change, rest of family enjoyed various Ramen, Takoyaki, Gyoza , Ebi-Katsu bun and crispy fried chicken. Highlight of my meal though was the Nasu Miso eggplant cup and this is from a diehard carnivore. Excellent presentation and flavour, I did however request a knife and fork to fully enjoy it and consumed everything but the eggplant stem. My husband and I are always looking for a new good ramen place, so decided to check out the JINYA ramen at the new Broadway location. We had the vegan ramen and the garlic ramen. Good: Large space Great service Lots of toppings included Hot sauces and vinegar provided at the table. Generous portions Lots of tasty and tender chasu Nice boiled egg Quite filling Flavourful Bad: Fairly expensive. Over $20 is the average even without extra toppings. Music is too loud. Ramen was not hot and came out barely luke warm due to the cold toppings. Tofu was just like it had been cut up and tossed in. Grilling a bit would have helped the texture, flavour and temperature. Charge for toppings is quite high. Tonkatsu broth was flavourful, but very salty. Cha cha cha Ramen left a heavy feeling in my stomach, so I barely finished half of it. Vegan ramen was bland so condiments, such as hot sauces, garlic, and vinegar were needed. Extra topping of egg was forgotten for the vegan ramen and came to the table separately quite late. Summary: We will not likely go back. Ramen Danbo is still superior. Hopefully JINYA ramen will catch on to their shortcomings and get more regulars (it was almost empty on Saturday and they opened on Thursday). read more

Cant believe Im actually writing a bad review for somewhere, never have before, but this was absolutely atrocious service. Waited 45 minutes for ramen in a near empty restaurant. Ramen came out lukewarm with a skin on the broth. Nobody once checked in with me about a quality check. Nobody asked me if i wanted another drink when it was empty. Nobody cleared a single dish. Couldnt get ANYbodys attention to get the bill. I nearly walked out but couldnt bring myself to do that. First time in my life leaving zero tip. Will never be back. read more

Food was good, both for people who liked spicy and for non spice dishes as well. They had the most wonderful chicken wings that battled Phnom Penh for the best in the city but they've taken them off the menu. Bad decision. It's the reason I went back the second time! Bring them back!!! read more
