A new ramen place that opened up near Granville area. I came with B for dinner and I ordered the chef special and he got the signature ramen. The ramen was ok. The place was pretty hip and cool. They also have happy hour special between 3 and 5 pm. Service was good here. Parking is the biggest issue. It's not easy to find free parking in the area.

First time at this location on West Broadway and it is spacious with lots of seating available for small or large groups available. No free parking available. Meter street or paid parking lots available around the area. Went with family for brunch as it just opened within 30 mins and was quiet. Greeted upon entry and seated. Food was savoury and flavourful. Nothing better than having ramen on a rainy day Had the following - * JINYA Chicken Ramen (with side addition of Crispy Fried Chicken) * Premium Tonkotsu Red (spice level 6, with side addition of Pork Gyoza) * JINYA Tonkotsu Original The broth hit the spot. The Crispy chicken was moist and had a great crunch. Spice level 6 for the Premium Tonkotsu Red was just right for me. Some kick but not where I lose the taste of the broth and numbing my taste buds. Can't go wrong with original. Always great to start with if unsure. Everything all good for and the reason I gave 4/5 stars is because of parking as it was not convenient which can take awhile to find and paid parking (weekend or weekday) but not surprised as it is west side of Vancouver.

Having been officially open just about a week, was time to try this location. Space is quite large, airy and open with good a/c. Some large communal tables, decent size bar seating and sat at the bar. Spicy ground pork miso ramen was on point as was the chicken. Broths were deep and complex, noodles cooked perfectly. Seasoned egg was very slightly over for my personal preference. Sauces on the side at the bar/table. Great matcha cold tea and prompt service. Was a holiday and a bit outside lunch hours. Small extra charge for crispy garlic chips but highly recommend.

Cool environment and great tastes on the dishes and ramen soup. Friendly service with excellent staff. Nice place for a friend's gathering and couple of drinks.

We had the best experience at Jinya! Our server was Kurumi and she was amazing! Very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Will definitely be returning while we are here!

Nasu-miso eggplant small plate minus red bell peppers.

We were sad when Jinya left Kerrisdale so we were anxious to try out this new outlet. We weren't disappointed, got a comfortable booth on the window and enjoyed the seldom found spaciousness. Summer special cold ramen Hiyashi was a pleasant change, rest of family enjoyed various Ramen, Takoyaki, Gyoza , Ebi-Katsu bun and crispy fried chicken. Highlight of my meal though was the Nasu Miso eggplant cup and this is from a diehard carnivore. Excellent presentation and flavour, I did however request a knife and fork to fully enjoy it and consumed everything but the eggplant stem. Thank you to our server, I think his name was Daiki , for making sure the bell peppers were left off for me . (Personal comfort preference) We'll be back.

The guy in front of me, Deng, looked at me with such envy as he cut in line. This place is incredibly popular! Every time I pass by, there's a long queue. Even on rainy days, people are willing to get soaked in the rain just to have a bowl of hot tonkotsu ramen. While you're queuing, the staff will hand out menus. The ordering system is similar to Ichiran Ramen; you can choose the noodle firmness, broth consistency, spiciness, green onions, oil level, and MSG amount . The basic ramen is only $13. I added a soft-boiled egg and pickled cabbage for $2 each. Although the pickled cabbage is really expensive , I can't help it, I'm a pickled cabbage addict! The pickled cabbage paired with the rich tonkotsu broth was refreshing. The broth was flavorful but not greasy, the noodles were chewy and springy, and the portion size was just right. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money; no wonder there's always a queue. After eating, you really get that "Ah~ this is the taste of happiness" feeling

This time, still a line, but it went faster. This is definitely not a sit down and enjoy your meal w anyone. Order your food from a slip of paper you're given so that by the time you sit, they collect it and place the order. Seats are hard and it is devised where you and then leave. I had the goma vegetarian and my brother the tonkatsu. We both had thicker noodles. However, one could not tell. The vegetarian was loaded with sesame seeds. Now i love those seeds but it was way too much for my liking. Too much seeds to chew on. They also do not put any vegetables on like Hawaii does. Everything is ala carte and that adds up. I simply chose the ramen version without all the add ons. The broth was yummy but again with the loaded seeds, it made it challenging to just drink the soup. I will say, Hawaii has by far better ramen, but this place was ok too. Pricey for for what you get though.

The moment I bit into it, it was bursting with juice! The meat was incredibly thick but not dry at all, and the outer skin was crispy like snowflakes. The first bite was amazing; I've never had such a delicious pork cutlet in Shanghai. Curry Pork Cutlet Rosu Curry $29.5 My friend ordered the curry pork cutlet today, and it was surprisingly excellent! The curry flavor was incredibly rich and full-bodied. Wrapped in the crispy pork cutlet and eaten with rice, it was pure carb bliss! Freshly Ground Sesame Powder I have to praise their freshly ground sesame powder; the aroma of the sesame seeds you grinded yourself was a real highlight. * With lemon salt: Refreshing and original, a perfect way to cut through the richness! * With barbecue sauce: Mixed with sesame powder, the flavors develop layer by layer. With two flavors to choose from, it's really hard to stop! I'll definitely come back to try it again next time.

The crust was light and crispy and tte pork loin pieces have the perfect balance of fat and lean meat. How was it perfect? Every bit I took had a good portion of juicy fat. The lean meat was tender and moist as well. The whole meal was mouth watering bite after bite. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage came with unlimited refill. I was planning on requesting a second serving of cabbage but I was full at the end. The dipping sauce for the katsu was a little too tard for me though so I could only dap my katsu pieces very very lightly in it so I wasn't able to experience the full flavour of the sauce. However, I was able to savour the flavour of the pork loin itself. It was a lovely meal. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly as well. The restaurant decor is modern, airy, comfortable, and inviting.
