My go to philly cheesesteak sub sandwich in Sandpoint. Always delicious, never a complaint.

Stopped in for a quick sandwich after driving by and spotting it. Ordered a 12" philly hoagie. I was going to take half home. It was so delicious I ate the whole thing. Not a fancy place. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I'll be back for sure! read more

Had a philly cheesesteak all I have to say is YUM! I will definitely go back again! Best lunch had in awhile.

I went in to try their Chicago Dog special and it was AMAZING! This is as good if not better than any dog Ive had in Chicago. Real sport peppers too, which are nowhere to be found locally, and are actually imported....now thats attention to deal! My hubby had a philly cheese and said it was yummy. Im dreaming of that Chicago dog as we speak. I would definately recommend this place. Super friendly owners too. read more

Great Philly cheesesteak and it was on an Amoroso sub roll just like the bread used in Philly. This was just like being in Philly where I grew up. Couldn't believe that I found this place in Sand Point Idaho which is the last place I would have thought of finding a place like this. Fantastic made to order sandwiches and burgers! Really a Mom & Pop business, they make you feel like family and everything is so juicy.

Nice place, we had a cheesesteak, shared by myself and my wife. Frankly, I was not all that impressed. I will try again with their hamburgers, since I would like to find a "good hamburger" place. But no more cheesesteaks... The one from Yokes Supermarket is much tastier. And of course NEITHER can come close to the "real thing" - which (apparently) you have to go to Philadelphia to enjoy... read more

Gingerbread milkshake was thick, creamy, and delicious. Food was awesome! We got the Cuban and the Steak and Egg sandwich. My kids gobbled up the fries. Very nice people at Joe's. We will be returning :) read more

LOVE Joes! There are two places in all of Bonner county that I will eat lunch and Joe's Philly Cheesesteaks is one of them. We came in on the 4th with a larger group and they were already packed. We stopped at Joe's on our way to Seattle last month. They stated they had the original Philly sandwiches. I asked the name of the rolls and was told Amoroso. Once I heard the name, I knew they were the original. Owners were very friendly and needless to say, the sandwiches were great. It reminded us of the places were would go to in Philly to get these sandwiches. I had the pizza steak and my husband had the Philly hoagie. A place to remember. read more

Go here and you WILL get taken care of. The owners/staff do a fantastic job at taking care of each individual customer. Expect the food to be closer to fast food made with care. We had a philly, chicken strips, milkshakes, hamburger and fries for the family of 8. Milkshakes were thick and they have well over 30 different flavors (we had marshmallow and banana both were bomb). Philly was very unique for the area in that not many places know how to please with a simple provolone, onion, mushroom,meat and hoagie in a quick manner round here-they do. I always get the chicken philly with the works, that sandwich and the friendly helpful staff are what garners the 5 star rating. They also do traditional philly's, hamburgers, teriyaki chicken, great spot for lunch or a quick inexpensive dinner. Good selection of papers to read as well. read more

Good cheesesteaks. French dip was also good although the au jus was kind of salty. Very friendly staff. Waaaaaay better than Arby's IMO. We grabbed some take-out to take back to the hotel. Definitely looking forward to going back! read more

I like Joe's Philly Cheesesteak. The Cheesesteak sandwiches are very good, I like to add the mushrooms and the peppers. The price is decent, but it's resort town; so its not super cheap. I may have posted a photo of the menu in my "tip" review. Their fries are good. The Burger a friend had looked really good. I love their chocolate milk shakes, they are excellent. This is a mom and pop establishment and so it's nice to support it. They were also at the Sandpoint Festival which is a big event. read more

Everything I have ordered from here has been amazing. I wish I could eat one of everything on the menu whenever I go there. They are also one of the few places that use real ice cream for their milkshakes and you can mix and match, making your own flavor. I go any chance I get, they are super friendly and remember everyone that comes in. If you have not tried this place then you really are missing out. read more

I'm born and raised near Philly, and was in Sandpoint for vacation. I'm always skeptical when a place advertises they have "real" Philly cheesesteaks, but when I saw they use Amoroso's rolls, it got my attention. I've had a LOT of cheesesteaks over the years, and Joe's would fit right in back in the Philly area! The rolls were a bit crusty on the outside and chewy inside, the meat was seasoned and chopped just right, the cheese was gooey, and the onions were cooked just right. Not sure how the other reviewers can say it was that good, as I've had cheesesteak sandwiches in Philadelphia. And, it was way better than this so called place that does cheesesteak and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. It was a random place I went as well. Then again, I'm basing my review with an area that specializes in philly steak sandwiches. This is Sandpoint, and not Philadelphia. Wanted a quick burger and stopped in Joe's-the staff was SO friendly and accommodating (even offered to make my kid an off menu gluten free lunch!) the price was right and I was surprised to learn they use fresh, never frozen local meat! My new favorite spot for sure!!! read more

Have not been to Joe's for over a year, last time there, it was not that good, But today we went again to give it another chance, glad we did, we split the 12 inch Cheesesteak, and it was great !!!!
