I ordered a large pepperoni thin crust pizza for takeout one night. When I got home the pizza had cooled off a little so i put it back in the oven to heat up. Once it was hot, I had some and it was good, but I dont think it was worth it. The pizza crust had a nice crunch and the sauce was tasty. But for whatever reason the cheese tasted kind of bland and made for a somewhat dull bite! I wish I had better things to say, but this was just not my favorite. Glad i got to try it! read more

I was told over and over by the new girl I would get plates obviously I didn't get them I've been going to them for 12 years the manager was willing to hang up on me and lose my business.... I had my whole family ordering from there for years we are no longer customers this disrespect was uncalled for. Grow up and learn how to run a business. I have had Joe's pizza in the past and it was delicious but there Frozen Pizzas that I received were tasteless.

The pizza was phenomenal. We ordered for takeout one cheese pizza for the kids and a double dough pizza with a bunch of toppings for us. It was amazing! The only down side was it was a bit pricy for 2 small pizzas-but then again everything is expensive these days. And I should say we put 5 toppings on ours which adds up. But I'd gladly pay it again! As my search for the best thin crust in Chicagoland continues it brought me here. Now I don't make it to the North Burbs that often, but would recommend that you take a trip just for this. This is easily a top 5 in Chicago and possibly the best. The sauce might be my favorite of all the places I have tried to date. The toppings were fresh and consistent throughout. Compared to your typically chicago pizza, this is by far my favorite. Crazy, right? It's a small restaurant in wheeling tucked away off of near Mchenry road. Really a hidden gem. I love this place because it does not taste like anything else around the area. It really has such a unique, and delicious pizza taste and smell. The best is the thin crust cheese pizza. Have been ordering pizza here for over 40 years. They changed how they make the pizza. Probably the worst pizza I have had in 20 years. No flavor, crust tasted like cardboard. Ordered with extra cheese but there was no extra cheese on it. Called and was told that they now measure everything. It just did not taste or look like a Joes pizza. This restaurant used to be our absolutely favorite pizza place to go. We came here about a week ago and enjoyed it very much. Service then was terrific and our pizza was cooked exactly how we asked it to be. Today however, I can't tell the same story. The restaurant was fairly full but we were able to get a seat. It took a bit for our waitress to come but she was attentive and she wrote down my order correctly. The order was 1/2 sausage and 1/2 mushroom and onion 12" pie cut. The other pizza was a 12" pepperoni pie cut. I kept repeating pie cut to the point that I know I was annoying her. When our pizzas came out the pepperoni pizza was pie cut and the other pizza was cut into squares. She apologized right away and said I hope this is still ok. I said NO it's not, it's not what I ordered. I think she was speechless, made a few more excuses and took away the pizza. A few minute a man came out and said you aren't gonna take this pizza. I said no it's not what we ordered. Then he said so what you want me to throw away a perfectly good pizza. I said no but that's not what I ordered. Then he started arguing with me and I realized there was no point in arguing with him he wasn't going to give me another pizza. He was bullying me and pushing me in a corner. Finally I said fine just give us the pizza. The waitress brought it back out and kept apologizing. I cannot be a patron to a restaurant that does not honor what I ordered. So his big mouth will make it so we don't come back. Customer lost in these extremely tough times out there, should have thought of that before he decided to argue with the customer when the customer was right. Pizza is like politics....everyone has an opinion, and rightfully so. This happens to be my favorite pizzas in the area. I'm fond of the tavern/ thin (cracker) crust. It really allows the sauce and toppings to come through as opposed to being overwhelmed with dough. Downside, without all the dough, it's pretty easy to eat a medium size by yourself...so maybe not the best value if you're on a budget trying to feed a family. All pizza is better hot and this is especially true with this pizza. Definitely reheat it if it gets cold or is delivered that way.....it's 10 times better. Joes is in a pretty run down strip mall. It has seating but definitely not somewhere that is very inviting for dine in. This place has been around for decades so that should say it all. I love Joe's thin-crust pizza! It's so very thin, and the edges are light and CRISPY!! They deliver, which is even better! And if you go online they have coupons that you can use. The lady on the phone always sounds gruff and cranky, but the pizza's worth it. This seems to have a nice authentic flavor - ingredients are good quality. Joe's pizzeria was a very nice surprise! I live in Evanston and looked for a pizza place in wheeling area for my church group just last Friday. I found many great reviews on Joe's pizzeria and decided to give a try. I ordered two pizzas - sausage and half spinach/half mushroom. I was few mins late to pick up time and my pizzas were stored in the warm heater. Workers at restaurant were super friendly and courteous. It took about 7 mins to my meeting and pizzas were still warm when my group gathered. Both pizzas - sausage and spinach/mushroom - were so delicious and everyone in the group asked where I got them. I liked them especially because sauce was not too strong - not salty, not plane, just perfect. Since Friday, I've told many ppl how much I enjoyed Joe's pizzeria! I will definitely go back soon even though I live 40 mins away. read more

The delivery was fast, pizza came hot. Surprisingly it was not in a box but wrapped in paper but still very warm. I love how thin it is.
