It's hard to be home for a repair between the hours of "8:00 am to 1:00 pm". Let me start by saying if I could give this business less than a 1 star I would! I also should say that do not make a habit of reviewing businesses however this one takes the cake and you should know about it. I had problems with my Whirlpool front load washer after 18 months so I called Whirlpool customer service for help. After 2 hours a supervisor offered to send out Johnny's Maytag and appliance service center. The supervisor gave me the name and number and told me the appointment window was between 8 & 12 so I made plans to have someone at my home between those hours, sadly no one showed up! I had arranged for someone to be home during the required window and so when I got home and they hadn't showed up I called Johnny's Appliance's repair and they told me this,..."We called yesterday ONE time and no one answered and vm was full so we didn't schedule the appointment. WHAT??? I made the appointment with the Whirlpool supervisor who contract with this company to do their work for them, so what was the problem? I spoke with Johnny's supervisor and he said it was a company policy to confirm and if after ONE phone call they won't go to the appointment because they have had people not home when they get there. In today's times of tons of robo calls, I don't answer unknown calls unless I'm expecting a call and my understanding was they would show up within the window of time I was given. The supervisor didn't apologize or try to make any offer to make it right. He just continued to speak over me and not hear anything I was saying. So this is what happened... I called Whirlpool and told them to never use this company due to their irresponsible businesses practices! I refuse to use this company and have now scheduled another service call with hopefully a reputable SERVICE company. To be stood up by a service provider because they don't want to be inconvenienced is not the type of SERVICE company I want. Think about this, how many times would you give a blind date a second chance if they stood you up? Not a one!!! First impressions are everything Johnny! 8/1/18 Update... To be clear there was only one call attempted to my phone number and I can screen shot it if you're employee is telling you different. I was hesitant to post a neg review but was so frustrated and the nonchalant attitude of the receptionist and the supervisor, apparently the owner, I felt the need to post. She wasn't rude but just stated the policy and I was reasonably upset at the situation and disappointed In not having my washer fixed as promised by the manufacture. Whirlpool promised that your company would be there and there was nothing EVER said about me calling or you calling to confirm appointment time or that without confirmation your company would not show up. That said if this has been a problem where clients aren't home then the problem is in the scheduling, it is not my problem that other customers have not been home in the scheduled window of time, I was home! As for berating your employee or yourself I do not feel that was the case. I was mad and I admit it but to say I scolded or criticized you're staff wasn't what happened. I visited Johnnie's Appliances on Saturday February 6 just to see if there was anything available. I found both a washer and a dryer at a reasonable price, (they were scratch & dents models) - couldn't see any scratches or dents! They were able to deliver today, Tuesday, the 9th. I was looking for repair on my dryer was told that it's was the motor pulley and that the part would cost like 30 dollars but I had to pay 95.00 for them to check it and 180 for labor but the 95 would be put toward the labor I am like ok I can do that so I was told I could Zelle the tech the tech took my dyer apart and took the part he said needed to be repair but he also said that part had to be ordered and it would take 2-5 days to get the part and that the person that order the part would call me with the price I am like ok so I get a call now part is 130 plus the 180 and the 95 would go toward the price I am like that's not what I was told I was told that the part was 30 dollars it went to I need a motor the part is not sold separately now it's 130 I was like I might as well buy a new dyer she was like that's your choice so when I said no but I need the guy to put my dyer back like it was due to the fact he took it apart and took the part that he said I need I was told no and that he would drop the part he took off back to my home but he would not put my dyer back together like it was before he took it apart and I ask to speak to the manger he said the same thing so I would not use them or recommend anybody to use them and the manger had the nerve to say either way you have a none working dyer I call my bank to dispute the payment so let's see how it goes but no one should be treated like that right is right and wrong is wrong this has to be the worst I have been treated and I have used them before with a Maytag washer I eventually I ended up getting a new washer but they did fix it and it lasted for a while but to have this happen is the worse even if I choice not to use them it's not the way you treat some one regardless because I question what I was told you want to get passed and treat a customer this way shame on you and your establishment I will boycott and will not send anyone I know your way read more

Johnnies appliances are thieves. My microwave needed a $3 fuse on 12/30/20. They charged me $179 and was told by repair person that the warranty was for 1 Yr. Now in March 2021 the fuse went out and was told ot was warranty for 1 month not 1 year. I was charged $179 for labor again. They did not honor their previous warranty. Ripped off is how I feel. It took the guy 15 min and that's dishonest service. They cannot be trusted. I know bad luck is coming to them because they are dishonest. God will take of them in their time, I promise. I have been dealing with Johnnies Maytag for about 10-12 years.I always liked the fact that the same person Martin always came, now it's his son. It is a great FAMILY business. I have had them out to fix about everything dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, washers and dryers. They are always honest and fair. My refrigerator just went out and was non repairable, so we purchased one from johnnies. I love it,waiting to buy the matching stove and microwave. One thing that I absolutely love about this place is they always have the right part on the truck to get the job done the same day. I've had OTHER repair companies come out ( before I found Johnnies) and it took a week to get an appt, another week for the part and then ANOTHER week to come to put it in. I have recommended Johnnies to friends and family and they also have been satisfied. I seriously have no idea how this business has 4 and a half stars because with my experience, I can definitely tell you that they don't deserve them! -First of all I made an appointment them to have them come take a look at my fridge. So the way they take appoints is you have to leave a few hours open for them so my appointment was from 9am to 1pm. So 12:30 rolls around and still no technician. So I call them and ask what's going on. The girl says has no answer for me so she says she'll call me back in 5 mins. She calls back saying my appointment is at a different time and I said No it's not, I made sure to take a half day off work to get my fridge looked at so I know at what time I booked the appointment. Anyways she said she would get someone to me and they did but I ended up missing a whole day of work. -Second of all they were trying to charge me 220.00 to fix my refrigerator which cost me 400 brand new!!! The defrost timer needed to be replaced, that was it! So when I called back to ask why they were charging so much she said the because of labor and the part. So I ask to speak with a manager she told me her manager said she had already given me a discount?! I was like what discount was I given that I wasn't aware of????? She said 5 dollars off the part. That is not a discount -_- so I asked if there was anything she could do for me and she said no so then I said bye. I called my boyfriend told him about the situation and he agreed that I was getting ripped off. So I called them back to cancel the second appointment and they would not answer my call! I called 3 different times so after the last call I had my boyfriend call right after I did and they answered his call!!!!!! Seriously worst customer service ever!!!!! Called them to repair my dryer. Their repair guy Carlos came out the next day, and was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He figured out what was wrong quickly, and let me know they would need to order a part. When the part came in a couple of days later, he came back and installed it. He came on time, and called before to let me know he was on the way. It seemed he only took about 20 minutes to fix the dryer. No more trips to the laundrymat ! Was easy to get the job done. Date: 3/8/2019 Do not get a repair service here.   It's absolutely wasting money and time. The technician will make damages to you appliance. They're horrible, very poor work, careless, ignored place & irreponsible. Overall rating is zero. Even I already knew what to repair without diagnosis, they still charged me $75 to diagnose on the first visit. I told Carlos, a technician, that microwave needs torsion spring replacement.  When he unscrewed it, he dropped one of the screws in his bag on purpose and he was hurried to leave without returning it.   He tricked me to continue to get their service.   On the second visit, he asked me to help him to hold the door of the microwave after unscrewed it.  When he replaced one of the spring, he didn't know how to put and asked me how to put it back.   His work was unskillfull.  I doubted him as a professional technician.  He was so clumsy when he screwed it.  He forced to fit in and made lots of scratches.   As a result, the door still falls down rapidly when it's open.  It was supposed to open & close slowly.  He repeated to unscrew and screw for several times.  Finally He said he'll need one more new spring.  He checked out How To Replace YouTube video for repair in front of me. 3 days later I cleaned the microwave because of many fingerprints on.  I found lots of scratches on the area of screw sections and I called the office and complained about scratches.  Veronica insisted those scratches are not from his work.  I told her why I called her if they're from me.  She hung up on me without mentioning. She was very rude and I felt ignored.  Yesterday, Carlos came with another new spring and I showed him the scratches and he knew it. He called his boss and explained what happened and sent pictures to him.  I told him that your boss is liable to replace the frame of deep scratches on.  I didn't ask about other minor scratches to repair. The boss told Carlos not to touch and repair.  Today I called first to Carlos 2 times & he didn't answer.  He avoided my call. So I called the office to get refund of $75 because they refused to complete the repair and deep scratches on frame to replace, they told me that's the fee for diagnosis and will not refund and won't do any replacement.  I left this review on their 5 stars yelp page.  But mine's been deleted automatically right away. Was having a problem with my Maytag washer and called Maytag, who refer me to Johnnie's as being an Authorized repair. Called for an appointment and was sent the best repairman, Martin. My washer shut down...damn!! Called a few places and schedule the 1st to return my phone call. Unfortunately for me it wasn't Johnnie's Maytag. I went with Allen & Sons...HUGE mistake! Not only did they arrive at the last minute of my scheduled time slot but they took forever to diagnose the problem. When they finally did I was told a new pump needed to be ordered because it wasn't in stock. Because the pump did not arrive when I was told it would (no courtesy call no nothing...just a flat out no show no call) I cancelled my order and called JOHNNIES MAYTAG. Martin to the rescue! Not only did he arrive on time and service my washer quickly, he repaired it without having to replace any parts. Turns out my toddlers sock was stuck in the pump, which caused the washer to shut down. Instead of replacing the pump, like Allen & Sons wanted to do, Martin simply removed the sock from inside the pump and BOOM, my washer was up and running! Johnnies Maytag saved me time and money in half the time it took Allen & Sons. I will ALWAYS call Johnnies Maytag for any future appliance repairs! My spare fridge in my garage went out. Made an appointment on Friday night "online" , received a call back on Saturday morning around 9am they told me they would be here at 2pm , Marty showed up at 1pm which was awesome!!! He got right on it popped the back off and made some test. He said it was a relay and he will remove it and swap a new one thats superior to the factory one. 30 min later all my BEER was saved!!! The technician is very fast and knowledgeable, but prepare for the very expensive labor. He charged me $140 just labor alone for a less than 30 minutes job. I'm glad to have the oven working again though I wish I had ask around first since the broken igniter was my suspicion in the first place. The similar new Kenmore gas stove and oven costs less than $500. I just paid $210 to replace an igniter. Probably should have bought a new oven instead. At least I get a new appliance. read more
