So these guys are super cool, they came out and diagnosed a bad heater element on my Kenmore HE Dryer. Ordered the part and 3 days later they installed (would be cool if they could stock some parts but I also understand you cant inventory every part for every brand and model ever made, it would be impossible . The only thing that was not too cool (but not wrong) was I could buy the part online for $35 but they charged me $100 bucks for the part. I would be OK with even 50% markup but the $100 seems a little steep. Labor was cool at $90 because it was a nightmare to get at the part where it was located. All in all these are not bad people, just need to be aware that we can find the parts they buy online for the same prices that they do. read more

I had the built-in oven go out at one of my rental properties so I reached out to Johnnies. They came out to look at the oven and offered a solution within in 30 minutes of taking apart the oven. Great! The part was special ordered and delivered within 2-3 days. Once the part was received, it took 2 different attempts to install the part. The first technician wasn't 100% sure how to install the part so we agreed to wait until the more experienced tech was available. I received a call for another appointment and the most knowledgeable tech got the part installed with no problem. read more

Very poor customer service. 0 percent product knowledge on product. I asked for tutorials or how to operate my appliances and said youtube and websites where we can both, her and I learn together. The worst part was miss quoted, 12 mo payment plan turned into biweekly payment ts of 2 x more what she quoted me monthly. I wish I was kidding but sadly feel they need to hire professional staff. I had my ovens igniter die recently, we called, made an appointment and the service tech came out fixed the igniter. My only complaint was the service tech did not diagnose the problem at first, he repaired the problem without me knowing the cost at or what happened the problem was. I am glad I had the money to pay for my oven but it would've been nice to find out what the problem was and the cost before the problem was fixed. Other the that it was good service read more

Great Experience! I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. I was nervous that I would be quoted an over inflated price to repair the spin cycle on my Whirlpool washer once the service tech arrived. In 15-minutes flat, Martin was able to diagnose and fix the problem without any trouble. The company does charge a $59.95 service fee to come out and any additional cost for parts & small labor fee. We are very pleased with the smart, prompt, and professional way that Martin fixed our Whirlpool gas clothes dryer. We'd tried to have Sears Home Repair come out, but they never showed up within the given time-frame, and they didn't even call to explain themselves. So, we needed someone better and more reliable. After reading the Yelp reviews, we chose Johnnie's Home Appliance and Martin. We're glad we did. Our 14 year-old dryer was barely heating up anymore, and the timer wouldn't shut off unless you opened the dryer door. A guy from the Gas Company said he thought it could be the igniter. We told Martin this, and he said he thought it'd turn out to be something else called a thermal fuse (which is a lot cheaper than an igniter!). He was right; that's exactly what it was. We really appreciated Martin's honesty on this, as he could've charged us a lot more for expensive parts that we didn't need (and really couldn't afford). Also very impressed with how fast Martin figured out the problem & solved it. That's a rare thing these days, in any field! The dryer is heating fine now, maybe even a little better than before. The timer is working, too. We thought the price for the service call to give an estimate was fair, as it can be applied to the total bill if you choose to fix it with them. Sears charges more--well, if they even bother to show up for you! We will be customers of Johnnie's in the future and recommend them to others. The top rack of our dishwasher would not pull out and the rack hung crookedly. We tried to fix it by following repair instructions on the Internet. Frustrated, we gave up and called for help. We chose Johnnies because they had a "free $65 house call" offer on appliance repairs. I made an appt which did require a window of 3 hours for repairman arrival but luckily Carlos called much earlier which was very convenient for me. Of course, he fixed the rack in about 5 minutes. He was very courteous & professional. The $65 refund will apply only if the rack needs further repair or to have new parts within the next several weeks. That was a little disappointing. But I guess it is how these free house call offers work in general. The best thing it that the rack was fixed in very short order. Their response time is fast! I would definitely call Carlos again. It is good to have a repairman you know who is reliable, courteous and fast! read more

I had an issue with the ice maker not producing ice and the refrigerator section not getting cool enough on my KitchenAid. I decided to call Johnnie's Maytag because they're a short distance from my house. I was able to schedule a house call for the following day. The service technician arrived at the scheduled time, quickly assessed the issue, and explained to me in detail what the problems were. Unfortunately, my unit was missing the serial and model numbers. Without that information, they were unable to order parts to make the necessary repairs. Fortunately, my fridge was still under warranty from where I purchased it and I was able to have it repaired by taking it back there. Regardless of that, Johnnie's did everything they possibly could and the service call was only $50. If I have appliance issues in the future, I'll definitely be calling them, as should you. read more

Johnnies saved the day! I needed a stove ASAP for my vacation rental. The previous one got a gas leak and wouldn't be worth it to fix it. I had guests who had just checked in so if I didn't get it replaced right away I might have to refund part of their rent. I went to another place first who had promised a next day delivery and after I decided to buy a more expensive stove than advertised they still backed out on their promise to deliver next day. Talk about a bait and switch! I went back to my car and googled "appliances" and Johnnies popped up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a stove that was perfect for my rental for less than my budget. They couldn't deliver until a couple of days so that was a disappointment HOWEVER, they pulled some strings and got me set up for the next day! The delivery guys busted their butts to get my stove up a flight of stairs without a complaint. They took my old stove away and had the new stove set up in minutes. They were very courteous and very respectful of my property. My vacation guests were present and the delivery guys made a big effort to get in and out quickly without any disruption. Mr martin..you are sooo wrong,in your response,Your TECHNICIAN if you want to call him that,TOLD us the machine worked well all it needed was TWO BEARINGS,HE did not mention anything about connection to TUB! And your office emailed us the invoice stating exactly what he told us,even what it would cost,per-conversation with your SON he quoted a much HIGHER FEE with additional parts! your parts dept., led us to believe from the get-go that those bearings were ordered.You all misled us..I suggest that you re-train your techs on assessing appliance and direct them to be up front with customer on their appliance, and for your info., we asked him if it was worth fixing he said and I quote: " machine works fine. all,it needs is those 2 BEARINGS!! no mention of the tub.And also, I don't cuss,so thats a LIE that I did.i stopped cussing many moon ago..I still feel we should have that 95.00 dollar refund,because your Tech. dropped the ball on this one,he represents your company which does not give you all a good report and rating on me,my family and many many many friends part..Too bad out of courtesy for the customer that U don't see this.one more thing,I WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM A COMPANY THAT MISLEDS PEOPLE........ read more

Our clothes dryer just stopped heating up, and we really don't have money to buy a new one right now. We were lucky to get Carlos sent over, because he figured out just what the problem was (the igniter was broken)--and he actually had a new one in the truck for our old Whirlpool machine. Yay! The price was reasonable for everything, and it was a big relief to know we wouldn't have to buy a new dryer, right now. This is the second time Carlos has done a great job for us (he correctly installed a new stove we'd bought, a while back.)
