I really bounce back and forth here because I do love Johnny's. It's just the food is hit and miss. It's a perfect hangout for Tom and Dan fans, and they have even kept the real man burger on the menu. More on that in a minute. They have some great beers on tap. One of my favorites is Cigar City Jai Alai. There are plenty of places to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather we've been having lately. This was also the place for Snootsgiving this year and it proved to be an epic night at a wonderful venue. Thanks for hosting! Now the menu. The real man burger is pretty tasty. It's a huge tower of ingredients including, a fried egg, ham, mushrooms, bacon, cheese and of course the beef patty. It's about 21 dollars but it comes with a Tom and Dan Real Man Shirt. I'm curious though if you go back and already have the shirt, can you get the Real Man burger for cheaper if you want to forgo getting another shirt? The fries are addicting. Kudos The Epic Fatty burger is good but I'm concerned about the cheese on it, it's globby and I think it's primordial ooze just pretending to be cheese. The BLT EVO which is a BLT with Avocado is good but it needs more bacon, and a bit crispier. Less lettuce. Everything else about it was good and there was plenty of avocado as well. I ordered the hangover breakfast sandwich but I received mine with no beef patty. The bartender that was our server was not nice and hardly assisted us. The other half of our group received their food. By the time, I got my wrong order, most of my friends were done eating. Wait time was horrible for being open for 30 minutes. Second time visiting this place. Me and my friend sat at the bar. The bartender Ashley was amazing. She took awesome care of us. We had chips and salsa to start. So good. ah, what a dive! This place is great! Eat outside, great bar food and many on tap beers. Met some of my family here and just had a great night. So I pull up and it looks like a mix between a couple of barns and a picnic area. Plenty of eclectic decorations that add the to great atmosphere. In the land of crappy, franchise, same ole same ole crap, this place rocks. Oh, food too! We dug into some fried pickles and the tuna cerviche to start. So the cerviche was more like tuna tatare but was freakin awesome. Who would have thought that some dive bar would have amazing ahi (not me - duh)? The fried pickles were pretty cool too. Not chips but kosher wedges that gave a nice sour finish after a satisfying initial crunch. On to the main stage, I went with the Jalapeno Burger. I come here a lot for Thursday night trivia and want to love the food, but nah. The bar food is fair, but nothing special to here. The other food they seem to want to specialize in just isn't all that good. I had a Cuban bowl the last time I was here. First off, the rice and beans were so little portion that I was very disappointed. The pulled pork on top was completely unseasoned. It was just like having a plain chicken breast thrown on top. It fell apart just perfectly and was cooked so well, but had ZERO seasoning to it. My friend next to me kinda chuckled and said he was wary of that dish, so instead he ordered some pulled pork tacos. When they came, he had the same problem. Completely unseasoned meat. He apologized for joking about my food as his was just as bland. I went in with friends to play trivia. The table was dirty and I had to wait for awhile for a server to come clean it up. She finally came and I asked her for two things...1- to clean the table so I could sit down.2- to put a mask on. The server rolled her eyes at me and as she turned, under her breath she muttered. "Oh my god." I immediately asked, "Did you just Oh My God me?" Again under her breath as she walked away she said no. With that, she went to the drink station to talk about me- or my request- to another server. She clearly was not happy. In fact, she never came back. She sent over another server to clean the table and yet another server to take our order. It was obvious that she was irritated at being asked to follow the mandate and care about people and keep them safe. I did not order any food for dinner because of her antics. I was too scared, thinking she would have someone in the back or runner do something to my food. I have NEVER been treated in such a way! I teach in a mask all day long. It's not that hard. Her attitude- shameful. My next call/ email tomorrow is to the Mayor's Strike Team for them to come out. I believe there are fines and penalties for businesses that do not comply. The best time, the greatest server and GOOD FOOD! Alex was our server and he was FANTASTIC! "Staff Wears Masks" on this site and in photos on their website is an outright lie. I went tonight to see a band I like and walked in and right back out. ONE server had a mask on, NONE of the others I saw did. Tables were not distanced. There appeared to even be "community" tables, which is fine in non-COVID times but no way I am sitting next to strangers without masks! Stopped by for the Sunday brunch. Ignored by the service people for the first ten minutes or so. I am use to this as standard practice at most places for a single diner. Finally was asked if needed help. Ordered a Bloody Mary since they are on special. Don't order one, weak and from a cheap mix. Had to ask for a menu since there was not one at the table I was at. Ordered one of their brunch specials. How long does it take to get eggs over medium? Well I stop a different server and asked her to check in my order since it had been over 20 minutes. About five minutes later she brings it out. Looked ok but when I cut into the eggs they felt rubbery, COLD! Check the other items, hurts, biscuits, etc all COLD? Stop the girl that brought it out and told her it was all cold. She asked if I wanted to reorder or order something else. Not reordering at most places because you don't know what they are going to do to it. She came back in a few minutes and asked if I wanted to take it home and heat it in the microwave, REALLY!!! What is there to say about Johnny's... hmm i enjoy it every time I go. Last visit took a couple guys from work we had 40 wings, fried tomatoes and fried mushrooms. Overall, my husband and I love this place. We enjoy brunch and dinner here frequently. The food is always tasty (though occasionally greasy). The atmosphere is laid-back and fun. Best of all, it is open-air, so I don't have to worry too much about my toddler making noise. The only consistent flaw would be the service. A few of the girls are great, but they are often stretched too thin helping the other slow, forgetful, dare I say lazy?servers. The last time we were there for brunch, our server never checked on us after our food arrived. The other servers seemed to avoid our tangible as well, even though we were obviously looking around for someone to get to us. 35 minutes later, drinks still empty, my husband had to go inside to get a box and pay our bill. I have to go to this place since it's near my house and I love the outdoor open air setting (sometimes with live music) that they now have going. That being said, I have been here when at times the service could be the worst I have ever experienced anywhere. For some reason, they had little or no staff and the ones that were there didn't seem to notice that you were sitting at a table with no menus, drinks or food. I guess they thought we were just there to rest a few and then continue on our way to somewhere else? I am not sure. I must give credit though they have upped their staff and improved their service and have live music added to their list. They also have covered almost the entire dining area and put fans around to make it better during the summer. This place is worth a trip if you are on this side of town. They do 1/2 price Tuesday 6-10pm also. last time I was there though the quality of my food wasn't worth the 1/2 price I was charged so I am skipping it. GO STEELERS!!! Looking for a Steelers bar in Central Florida? It doesnt get much better than this. Lou behind the outside bar is from the burgh and is a class act (for all you Yinzers) if you're not a Yinzer, be prepared to think hes a "jagoff". With that being said, the alcohol specials are some of the best in Orlando and I am MORE than blown away by the service on Sundays. Tuesday night is half off everything night (including alcohol) and they run specials throughout the entire week. I've had the Buffalo tenders, hamburgers, and the philly cheesesteak so far. I would recommend the Hamburgers, Buffalo Tenders, Buffalo chicken wrap, and their fries. Notice I left out the Cheesesteak? Just lacking some flavor from what I am used to. Me and my friends picked this bar for my "moving away" get together. They explained that the last few times, there has been poor service. Well, I was able to see it for myself and they were right. We called again to ask if my friend could bring her puppy and we could sit outside. We were also going there to watch the Orlando City game, which you could see perfectly from the upper deck. After getting our drinks (which took forever), they told us that we couldn't have the dog on the upper deck and had to go sit on the lower deck. The lower deck was muggier and there was not a good view of a TV to watch the game. All of us were annoyed at the false information we were told on the phone. Now that we were closer to the bar, we were getting dirty looks from one bartender. They would all talk to each other and laugh and look in our direction. I know I'm not just being paranoid because our service had gotten worse from that point on. The servers took forever and a day to bring our food/drinks. They also seemed to have their nose in the air and never said a word or made eye contact when stopping at the table. Needless to say, they really need to work on their customer service. They really just need to hire new bartenders and servers with some manners. read more

Worst dining experience ever. We arrived at 12:05 and did not leave until 1:30. Not due to us chatting or talking simply because our server took forever to bring the food, messed up our order and did not apologize or even give us an update on the status of our food & then One of our girls waited so long to receive her ranch that she just gave up and asked for a to go box. The rest of our food ended up getting cold since we had to wait on silverware which took about 10 minutes for her to bring it back. Awesome place! I saw reviews on Yelp and noticed that every Tuesday their entire menu is half off, including drinks. So we decided to try it out, and we loved it! Great food, good drinks and friendly atmosphere and staff. We got the fried pickles to start, the Epic Fatty burger, Cheddar Jalapeño burger, curley fries and two drinks each. Total was an amazing $26 and some change! We will definitely be coming back for this amazing Tuesday special. But just know that it is only valid from 5pm-10pm. read more

This is a local bar and restaurant that is always filled with the full spectrum of people from families to bikers to suit and ties. Food is good and fresh, this side of johnnies is a little pricier and more fancy than that of johnnies filling station. I always love their buffalo chicken wrap, salads, wings, tater tots, fries, and beers. They have a 3$ pint craft beer list all the time. It's great to come and hang out for drinks or to eat. Only down fall in the summer is it is hot. Tuesday are awesome for half off menu, the place gets packed and food takes a while, but half off makes up for it. read more

The covered patio is a great way to grab a happy hour drink outside while listening to bands and providing protection against the Florida weather. I have mostly gone for the drink specials, but the food is pretty hearty and savory. The quesadillas are amazingly filling, but I would stick with the lobster over the chicken, as the feta doesn't make the best emulsifier of ingredients when heated. When the tab came, I was surprised to see that nothing was discounted. They do have certain menu item exclusions, but not on the things that were ordered. The place was packed so we had to wait a little while for a table (aka pounce as soon as someone gets up). Our waitress was nice and very attentive. I was told I needed to leave immediately in a VERY rude manor bc my dog barked at someone....I was accused of being at the bar a week prior with the same thing happening when I haven't even been to the bar in over 2 weeks. Every time I go here, I always expect typical bar/burger joint food. And every time, I'm reminded how good they truly are. Last night I had the burger, which was exceptional. But usually I go and have the chicken wrap which they make with fresh avocados and fresh mango salsa. I've also has amazing corn fritters, so sweet and made with whole pieces of corn. The only weird part is the service, it's always amazing, until the end. When we were all ready to go, the waitress never came by. We waited for 20 minutes to get our check. Walked in. Saturday lunch. Not busy. Three waitresses I could see. Said we could sit anywhere. 15 minutes and not one person came. Not surprising. I've never had good service here. Finally tracked down a server. When food arrived, no silverware. Never saw the waitress again so I had to go track down silverware. Table next to us said they only come there because they live within walking distance but they too were tired of terrible service. Never again. PS-absolutely no taste w the burger. Sad. read more
