    Falafel Plate

Ordered the falafel plate with hummus and caesar salad. Hummus and pita were great. Falafel was a bit crumbly.

We recently ordered dinner takeout: 6-10 person catering and 1 order of fries and the food was delicious! Generous portions of rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. The rice is sooo good. Still one of the best I've tasted at any Mediterranean restaurant. Our catering order came with 12 skewers. We chose beef and chicken. Each skewer had sliced lemon and grilled bell peppers. Catering also came with garlic sauce and a choice of greek or caesar salad. We chose the greek salad and asked for feta cheese on the side. The salad dressing also came on the side. Everything was fresh and they had our food ready about 1 hour after we called in to order. Friendly service. Still highly recommend John's Kabob. A hidden gem for local Mediterranean food!

We ordered take out and it fulfilled our Mediterranean food craving. We'd order again! I had the shrimp plate. It was delicious and definitely hit the spot! My partner agrees that it was the better choice. It came with garlic sauce and I had hummus and greek salad as sides. They were good and I kept the leftover dips and enjoyed them the next day. My partner had the chicken shawarma. I think the taste was underwhelming, so I wouldn't recommend it. He had a Caesar salad as a side and it was good -- the croutons were bomb! We had gyros fries and were so excited. The gyro was super tender, but was under-seasoned. The fries combo was filling though and we enjoyed the flavors that were there. So, some tasted off and some tasted great. Overall it was a good dinner.

I decided to try this place for lunch because it's nearby my work. I am definitely not an expert on Mediterranean food, but I've definitely had my share of gyros. Overall, I was underwhelmed. While the meat was tender and well cooked, it was woefully underseasoned, so it tasted fairly bland. Even the addition of the tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies (lettuce and tomatoes) couldn't help it. The tzatziki sauce was also not great. While the serving size was generous enough, think I would only come here again in a pinch. The one good thing is that it is not too expensive. However, given the option, I would definitely prefer to eat elsewhere.

Pretty average kabob joint. We got the 12 kabob set for $120 (with tax). Serves 6-10. I think it's pretty pricey for the flavors, but ok considering the variety. Chicken kabob is pretty tender. Beef kabob is nice but a little chewy. Shrimp kabob is unknown. We ordered it but didn't get them, so we don't know if they're any good. Greek salad is mostly iceberg and oniony. Unclear feeling about the dressing. Wish we got the caesar salad instead, but it's ok. Hummus is smooth but very sour and garlicky. Pita bread is a little on the tough end. Rice taste like school lunch. Parking is pretty terrible. Only 1 available spot and 1 disabled parking spot. There are a couple of street parking, but looks unsafe (as in nobody else parks there and it's a big street with cars flying around). We ordered over the phone and had to wait extra 15 minutes at pickup. Probably best to order online, it'll be integrated to their system. Also, we made requests to the kabob but didn't pan out, so that sucks. We made sure to call and get their confirmation to see if they can switch some of the kabob with shrimp...We had people who didn't eat meat and they basically couldn't eat anything but the salad and hummus.

What's up: Ohhhh...it's been a while since I've had kabobs and hummus. I got hit with that craving, so it was time for me to visit John's Kabobs! Parking: Not the greatest. There's probably like 2 spots, with one being for handicap. You'll most likely have to resort to street parking. It's also situated in a weird location so you'll have to be extra careful while parking and crossing the street. Environment: Walking up, you'll see a couple of tables and chairs out front for outdoor dining; indoor dining is also available. The order counter is towards the right of the building and when we arrived we informed the staff member that we were there for pickup since we placed one using Uber Eats. Our food was ready and we were out in no time. What was ordered: - Beef Kabob Plate with Hummus and Salad (very flavorful and so good. Beef was juicy and the hummus was creamy) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This definitely hit the spot. The food was yummy and exactly what I was looking for. You want kabobs? This is the place for them. Credit cards are accepted.

It's made with garlic and a slew of other ingredients. We ordered a few appetizers because we were only lightly hungry. The fried calamari was delicious, it's a typical calamari dish but it was still good. We also got the dolmas with ground beef. Woah, I've never seen such huge dolmas before! I'm used to smaller more tightly wrapped ones. They were great though! They had kind of a buttery flavor. Others split the spanakopita and seemed to enjoy it. Fun time and fun ambiance! Good service too. Solid place for a night out.

Service was fast, but what stood out was that the cashier still took the time, with a smile, to explain parts of the menu when we had questions. The prices are surprisingly affordable. When my mom hesitated because of the language, they made the effort to speak Spanish to make her feel comfortable, which meant a lot to us. My husband and I usually order take-out, but on our recent visit, we decided to dine in. We arrived on a Sunday evening (5pm). Parking is shared with other businesses in the plaza. We found one in the shade. The restaurant is small, but they utilize their space well. There are 4 tables and I believe 3 high-top tables as well as outdoor seating. The interior is well-kept and decorated nicely to match the Greek theme. Ordering takes place at the counter, no self-serve kiosk. They have many menu options like sides, gyros, plates, kids menu, family meal, lunch specials, soups, and desserts. My go-to item is their Greek Chicken Pita with Lemon Sauce in place of the tzatziki ($13). I would sometimes order this with a side of fries, but my husband got it in his combo. The reason I order this all the time is because the pita not only tastes amazing, it's also filling! There's grilled chicken, potatoes, pickled onions, greens, and lemon sauce. The pita is thick and has the perfect chew to it. There is so much flavor in every bite! The fries were delicious as well. They were soft on the inside and crisp and seasoned well on the outside. Overall, a great spot for Mediterranean food. I would happily recommend this to anyone!

They are not sanitizing in between customers.  COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination.  While I was here eating my food in this establishment a month ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. But this isn't strictly enforced. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is incredibly small. They have valet parking. I urge you to park on the street. However, be wary of the signs. On one side, there is a no parking sign on Wednesdays from 12PM - 3PM. On the other side, it says no parking on Thursdays from 12PM - 3PM. Basically don't go there on Monday and Tuesday (they are closed) and Wednesday and Thursdays for horrible street parking. It is a shame that a cute mom and pop restaurant closed. I am sad that I did not know about it sooner. I would have came more frequently. They have been opened since 1948. Very impressive! Food: I ordered a baklava, spanakopita, and gyro sandwich. The house made baklava went perfect with my coffee the next day. A delicious start to a new day. The baklava combines layers of honey-soaked crisp phyllo pastry and a cinnamon-scented nut mixture with pistachios, walnuts, and hazelnut. To me, nothing rivals homemade baklava. The texture of crispy and flaky phyllo pastry. The crunchy filling. And the warm honey syrup. It is all I want in a dessert / breakfast. The spanakopita was very delicious and filling. This spanakopita had sauteed spinach, feta cheese and seasonings, all wrapped up in phyllo dough and baked until golden brown and crisp. It's the perfect blend of spinach, cheese, onions, and herbs in a buttery crust. It was very savory. The gyro sandwich was so mouthwatering. My gyro sandwich included succulent, marinated, and seasoned lamb and beef grilled to perfection. Then it was wrapped up with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and feta cheese in warm, soft, and slightly chewy pita, and slathered in delicious homemade creamy tzatziki sauce. I got a pistachio yogurt bar from their mini deli and market area. It was so nutty, creamy, and rich. Perfect for a hot summer's day. I love that they use real pistachio with yogurt to make it. None of the fake artificial stuff was used. Glad I didn't offer my close friend a bite of this otherwise he would have suffered a severe allergic reaction in the restaurant. That would have made the dining experience incredibly memorable, and not in a good way LOL I love that they have a complimentary water station for customers to grab as much water as they want.
