Heyyy Jollibee is now in Torrance!! My main thing that I always get is the family meal with a bucket of chicken (spicy), spaghetti and peach mango pies. Their chicken is crispy. The spicy isn't crazy spicy but it gives it something. Filipino spaghetti is different, with it being sweet and with added hot dogs and cheese. And I love peach mango pies. Yum! I went on opening day through the drive through and it seemed a bit not well planned with so the employees standing outside and one person to take orders... I don't know if that made the line longer and they just didn't want to take so many orders because of the minimal kitchen staff to complete the orders. Once putting the orders through it went by fast for payment and pick up. Just thought of it again.. maybe people were outside to help people in the drive through line when they don't know what to order. read more

First visit to Jollibee ever even though I had a branch in Carson. First impression? It's not bad and the side offerings are different than what you'd get at a typical fried chicken joint in the US. The chicken? Very good. Location: Corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Del Amo Blvd. Across the lot from In N Out. Parking is plentiful, but might be a challenge during peak hours Food: I got the Spicy Perfect Pair Chicken Joy with Palabok and a soda. I got the Pineapple Quencher instead. The chicken itself (minus the gravy) was perfect. Crispy, hot, juicy and just enough heat for the spicy. Not dry or overcooked with breading that wasn't too thick and well-spiced. The palabok was a new thing for me and it was ok. I just wished the noodles were the thicker kind rather than the rice noodles. Chicken: 10/10 Palabok: 5/10 Adobo Rice: This was good for me, although, I'm sure local Philipino's will say this was generic and can make better. They probably could, but I'd get this again instead of the spaghetti or even the palabok. 7/10 Ube Pie: Not my favorite. I know the flavor is all the rage right now, but this version I'll pass. Maybe another incarnation of this dessert. A shake maybe? 3/10 Peach Mango Pie: I was looking forward to this one, but this one let me down in one significant way: there was no fruit inside the pie!! Okay, there were bits of mango (or were they peaches?) in the puree inside but that was it. Really? You're going to charge me almost $2 and not one chunk of fruit? Even Mc'D's does better than that. 2/10 Summary: They don't serve breakfast right now and no Halo Halo. Maybe that's coming later to this location, but maybe the one in Carson has it. They do ofer tenders or burgers, burger steaks (like cubed steak with gravy on top) and chicken sandwiches (spicy one too) if you're not in the mood to deal with bones. I'll have to come back to try the other offerings. The best part is the chicken itself and adobo rice. I didn't use the gravy and, yes, I know I'm supposed to use that as a dip, but I really wanted to try the chicken itself without covering up the flavor. The adobo rice is good, but I pass on the desserts. Kiddie meals are available. The other reason for the 3 star rating is only having 1 cashier working inside for all walk-ins and only allowing 1 party at a time to order all during the first few days of opening the new location. I get they're trying to control the amount of people inside at one time, but they really should have had at least 3 registers going at the same time. I stood in line for at least 1/2 hour if not more before I was allowed inside to order. Another 8-10 minutes waiting for my order. I have to say the staff was very personable and helpful despite the fact they were just a bee hive of activity trying to keep up with all the orders coming in from the drive-thru, the walk-ins and online pick ups. I had never been to a Jollibee before and had seen this location being constructed during my multiple visits to Torrance. I came after 12:00 and the drive thru was pretty busy. I went inside to order. Two people were ahead of me in line and then several people started arriving after me. Most of the tables inside were taken. They had two registers, but only one was open. I tried the two pieces of chicken with spaghetti combination and a mango peach pie. The chicken was basically good, but I wouldn't say outstanding or anything I need to rush back for. The chicken had crispy skin and moist meat, but I think it needed more seasoning. The appearance reminded me of Popeye's. The spaghetti was interesting with a slight sweetness to it and cut up hot dogs. The mango peach pie was worth ordering again. It had a nice crunchiness/crispiness to it with a delightful filling. Yes, it's very much like a McDonald's pie. When I went, the workers seemed pretty efficient and were courteous and friendly. My order took about 10 minutes. I placed an order with Jollibee online last Monday 9/20, for pick up on Wednesday 9/22 @ 9 am. I got a confirmation and was looking forward to picking it up. Jollibee is such a comfort food for Filipinos and I wanted to share it with healthcare workers scheduled to do Covid 19 testing at 10am. I personally had a rough week as my brother passed away due to Covid 19 complications... We arrived at 9am and was surprised that it wasn't ready. One staff said they didn't know about the order and called the manager. The manager checked the order online and went back to check with kitchen and just shouted 10 minutes...no explanation, no apology. We waited and left at 9:20am. One of the cashiers apologized for the delay. I hope Jollibee would learn and be on top of orders and customer service. We tossed it all in the dogs bowl (no bones) and ate Chick-fil-A sooo much better. It's my own fault, I wanted to try Jollibee and give it a chance. Waste of money and time. Even the sauces were bad. We paid extra to get one of each and they were all bad. The chicken was dry and chewy, it tasted old like it had been waiting under a warming lamp overnight. I'm sure it wasn't but it tasted like it was. I've had better KFC the next day straight out of the fridge. I can't imagine they will be there long, I'm not the only one with tastebuds and a preference for tasty food. Went through a drive-through Saturday night two cars in front of me not super busy ordered one chicken sandwich meal two separate chicken sandwiches and a burger. They told me the burger would take seven minutes, I said no problem. They had me waiting over 30 minutes as I saw many customers come and go on the side of the building where they make you park to wait for your food. The worker came out a few times last time he came out he told me we're just waiting on the french fries and he would throw in a free pie ... ended up getting my food. Everything was super cold, tasted like yesterday's food that they never reheated for me, French fries were cold, which didn't make sense if they were waiting on it. The sad thing is I've been convincing my wife to try the chicken sandwich from Jollibee's for the last year and she refused, then I finally convinced her and this is what happened. We decided to check out the new Jollibee in Torrance. Went through the drive thu and there were only 2 cars in front of us (meanwhile, the line at In and Out wrapped around). It was a little confusing to find the entrance of the drive thu. We ordered a 6piece chicken tenders, spicy chicken sandwich, 3 pc chicken joy and a small spaghetti. Paid over $30. It would have been worthwhile if the food was satisfactory. Unfortunately, it was below that. . The 6pc chicken tenders for $10 was hard to bite into, the chicken joy was ok but you can still see the chicken feathers (yuk) fried into the batter. The spicy sandwich was spicy because they put 2 small slices of jalapeños. The hotdog on the spaghetti was tough. Was really hoping it would be better. The chicken did not flavor other than the oil it was fried... the gravy was needed to give it a little flavor...although the biscuit that was included was very good. This place is decadently delicious for a very fair price! The batter fried chicken sandwich is substantial with a delicious old school mayo on it. The piping hot fries are some of the best I've ever had, edging out even McDonald's due to their having slightly more character to them despite a lovely skinniness and even golden hue throughout - wowzers... The peach mango pie - the real reason for the visit had a superb shell with meh peach mango filling straight from a can I would guess... I still chomped down on that deepfried crust with years of McDonald's apple pie memories sweeping over me... The drink was a machine cooled plus just enough ice- pineapple blend, again, ridiculously good for the price a total of $13. I will definitely be back to try the halo halo and regular fried chicken. First time at this location. Access is confusing as it competes with In n Out. We had to drive around a couple of times before we figured out which drive thru belong to which one. Prices are on the higher side but not outrageous. They did give out paper menus which is nice. The chicken is good. Not overly breaded and seasoned well. They did get the order wrong but it was minor. Ordered the creamy Siracha sauce which is exceptional! Ordered a ranch dipping sauce but got honey mustard instead. That was the only error. My husband liked the adobo rice and loved the mango peached pie. I did like their safety measures. All employees were wearing masks!
