We asked for a cake way ahead their required time window for our very special day, and only to find out two days before our special day that they didn't make the cake for us at all. Then, they refused to make the cake for us when there are still two days of time. So no cake for us. Important update: shortly after this review is posted, one yelp user claimed that this review is from a former employee of this bakery who deliberately wrote this negative review to hurt the bakery. This claim is untrue. Now I am worried about the wellbeing of that poor former employee. Please do not hurt his/her career just because this review is perceived to be written by that person. They're willing to accommodate just about any dietary need. The portions are generous, and we are very pleased with their 1st class service. I highly recommend their Cortado which has no match. Their cakes is in very high demand and you need to make sure to get it before early afternoon. The manager told me they are trying to increase their daily production of cakes to meet the high demand. Been here on 2 occasions, very aesthetically nice place, priciest coffee/tea on Newbury (saying a lot). It's good but not for the pricing. First time I came close to closing, 1 person working, very well spoken friendly black woman (attractive as well ) next time a Saturday evening, kid with a hat , no manners, made my drink incorrectly, no apology or anything, no napkins to be found and the patio an utter mess, every table dirty and not kept well at all. read more
