Ordered some Joy-Ride Pizza over the weekend and it was amazing! I definitely have to come in person and check out their store fronts. Me and my girlfriend ordered the pestoterrfic which was amazing. The service is pretty fast knowing that I live about 20 mins from downtown San Francisco yet the food was warm and fresh.

This was probably one of the most expensive pizzas I've ever purchased, but it was damn good. Being from the Detroit area I was skeptical, but they did a fantastic job. They offered many vegan toppings, which is fun, but I wish ordering was through a person, as I had a couple of questions. Not much seating, but there are a couple of benches outside.

Got this off of DoorDash and it was quite a treat! Never had pizza with such a thick crust and it was quite delicious! I think I prefer thinner crusts because it was too doughy for my taste and wasn't a good sauce to crust ratio. But still pleasantly surprised! The garlic knots were solid and I would get them again!

All bread, very little cheese or sauce.

The Zoe 'Roni pepperoni pizza was so-so. It looked great, but the pepperoni was far too salty. The pizza was also actually bland because it was mostly bread: 95% bread, 5% cheese and pepperoni. See photo. I prefer NY style pizza for a better bread to cheese/sauce ratio.

Decent pizza! The sizes are pretty large, and the crust is soooo buttery and soft. Definitely pleasant to eat. However, price was expensive ($23-$26/pizza) for what it was. I ordered a sweet/spicy pizza and added hot honey- did not feel the pizza had much flavor. Also the hot honey was $3 extra and I didn't even notice it there! Same for a friend who spent $3 on adding pineapple- not a lot of the toppings when you pay $3-$4 extra per addition.

Their pizzas were filled to the top with meat and toppings. Super duper tasty and fresh. Felt like I consumed enough calories for the month! Wish it was a little more affordable though.

Barely any toppings - just glaze, no meat!

Hugest rip off ever! The samples and photos suggest you'll get toppings, but I paid nearly FORTY DOLLARS for 2 slices of THICK greasy foccacia. One had a thin smear of glaze and ABSOLUTELY NO MEAT. The other had pesto drizzle and hard bits of chicken I spat out. A star for nice workers, easy ordering and beverage selection.

I'm a pizza lover and like to try different types when I travel. Joyride is a cute stop in, grab and go pizza place serving Detroit style pizza. Super easy to walk in and place your order from a self service kiosk. The varieties of pizza are available for you to see in a glass case and you can order by the slice (a slice is actually two large squares of pizza) or entire pizza. I ordered slices of the Sweet Heat Pineapple and Sweet Bianca. Both were made with fresh ingredients and a delicious, unique combination of flavors! I'm pescatarian and the menu has a great variety of vegetarian options. While writing the review and really ready the menu I learn they have plant based "meat." Now, Joyride may be a quick grab and go (there was limited seating inside) be prepared for it to hit your pocket. Two slices set me back $34. Quite a bit of food and good quality, yet expensive for pizza

got the eat your veggies pizza this time - unique combo + generous serving of toppings that i quite enjoyed despite normally being someone who definitely wants meat on my pizza. have also tried the meatzza and ocean beach. meatzza was a bit too salty for me, ocean beach i was a fan of the flavor but felt like there wasn't enough volume topping wise relative to the thick amount of bread. for all of them the crust has a nice crispy crunch. one pizza feeds me comfortably for 2 meals.

If there was ever a debate about pineapple on a pizza, this settles it. This pizza. Is always delicious, a nice change from deep dish, a party favorite and one of my fav pizza at joyride. I love the market street location for a quick DoorDash delivery or pickup. Though we have several pizza places who serve Detroit style pizza, this place is still my favorite for repeat orders

    Pepperoni pizza

For $17 a slice I was expecting more and left disappointed. Also a side of ranch will run you an additional $3 apart from the $17 slice so I spent $20 in total. It's decent but for the price I wouldn't return. At least it's filled with plenty of toppings.

C'mon, Joyride, what a mediocre product in a city full of good pizza options. I tried your Yerba buena and mission locations when they first opened, thought it was decent Detroit style. Fast forward a few years to today and the market street location. AWFUL. Pepperoni is so dried out it's not edible. Crust stale and way too bready. It's obvious the pizza was not lnly made days ago, but the slices suffer from sitting out under a heat lamp. And I went at 1pm, prime lunch hour. Big bummer. I'll stick with Square Pie Guys I guess.

The staff is nice, but the pizza is SO SO greasy, and incredibly overpriced. This is not what Detroit pizza is at all.

My pizza was cold, but it was still good. I just noticed my order was wrong. I also didn't receive my snickers cheesecake I ordered.

Very quick service! But it's $14 for a chunk of of bread with some toppings. The vegetarian option had no sauce! Not a good value at all

Especially given that we were bringing in our own birthday cake to have and share among our friends that night. Service was generally polite but a bit sparse given how busy it was. I specifically asked whether the kids' pizzas were small personal sizes or large enough to share, and was told they were personal-sized. Unfortunately, we ended up with more food than we could realistically finish and essentially paid for a pizza that went to waste, which was frustrating. The food itself didn't quite meet expectations based on the reviews. One of our pizzas also came out slightly undercooked, but the kids were too tired for us to send it back and wait for a remake, so we just made do. Overall, the experience was just okay, especially compared to other pizza spots we tried during our trip. After visiting places like Tony's, which we loved, this one fell short for us. The restaurant was busy and had a decent energy, and others may have a better experience depending on timing. For us, though, it's not a place we'd return to.

I am aware that I didn't pay for table service or dine in fees that most SF restaurants have now so I was trying to be out of sight and not make any mess for the staff to clean up. Some restaurants don't even let you sit outside to eat if you do pick up so I was just hoping they didn't come out and ask me to leave. Not only did nobody ask me to leave but 10 minutes into my sitting someone came over to offer me a glass of water. I declined because I do feel wrong accepting service when I didn't originally order that way or tip properly but I am very appreciative that they went out of the way to offer water! The grain bowl was also very delicious and filling! very generous portions for the price. It was my first time going even though I've been working in the area for a couple years and I'm happy to have a new go to lunch spot!
