Liked the seasoned fries, too. I think they had seasoning or maybe just salt. Also ended up using their website to place an online order with very specific topic requests and exclusions. They got everything right, which I always appreciate for a unique takeout online order. Cute spot inside, but that's my taste -- small town and homey. Hope to visit one more time before heading back to LA.

The cranberry chicken salad had a generous amount of chopped chicken and with the mixed greens, candied pecans and dried cranberries was a great balance of flavor and texture. The pacing of service was good. There were the right amount of people dining and drinking at the bar and tables to give the spot a good energy. The only downside was that they only serve wine by the glass. We would have brought our own bottle and paid the $15 corkage if we had known. Other than that, it was a great late night choice for dining and drinks.

When the cornbread and chips are the highlights of a BBQ meal and the actual BBQ is the weakest part, there's a problem. We made our way to Paso Robles seeking lunch. Primal House looked good and had the endorsement of my Yelp friend Randy B. who seems to be the number one Yelp Guru in the area. He was right and this place was really good. Woo Hoo! I got one of their craft beers, "Old Blue" small-batch pilsner. It was great. Our waitress was awesome. Wife got the club sandwich and I went with a single patty cheese burger that was wonderful. There is hope for this trip after all. Yay!

We came over after wine tasting at Cairjn Tasting room off Union Road by the traffic circle. I wanted to try the dish and chops and I'm glad I did. I had the fish and shrimp with fries and Cole slaw. It was all excellent. I'll order fish and chips next time. Do good. Our waiter was a helpful guy and we had no complaints. Dan and Amber shared the twin filets. Caden ate 9 wanted salmon so he had an adult meal and loved it. Connor age 5 had the sliders kids meal with 2 good sized burgers. Hannah also had the salmon and Hunter had a cheeseburger. We've had such better experiences lately that I can't wait up go back. In the 99 degree heat the AC was not keeping up and we were too hot but this would be very expensive to upgrade it. Sadly I'm thinking it was not sized properly as the building is very new. But we will not let this stop us from coming. The atmosphere and the food are worth it.

I truly hope that this place can figure it out because the food is very good but the consistency is horrible. I've been here a dozen times or so and not once have we ever gotten our order and everything was correct. My wife is lactose intolerant so naturally she orders a "Hamburger" and explains she can't have cheese. Needless to say it comes with cheese every time. Then she orders the chicken sandwich and asks does it have cheese on it? The lady says no yet when it comes it had cheese. We've also often times added bacon and/or avocado and not gotten either one. I often wonder if the owner knows that every order that comes out has to be made twice. I can only guess the amount of waste that comes out of here. Imagine the income lost by having to make all orders twice. Like I said when I started my review the food is delicious and I enjoy it, which is why I keep coming back, but I foresee if they don't figure this out, they won't be around for long which would be a shame since it's a good burger and fries for a great price once they get the order correct. read more

Ok......my husband and I normally love this place and we never have any problems...BUT TODAY WAS A DIFFERENT STORY...where to begin... 1. The Blonde haired girl with the maroon sweatshirt taking our order was Very helpful! 3. The Dark haired girl with the cream colored sweatshirt with maroon lettering calling the orders to the cooks, She needs some help with her Customer Service skills! 4. Ordered our food & it took 25 minutes to get! Mind you, I was 2nd in line & there was only 3 others in the place at the time. 5. When my husband was on his 3rd bite, he found a hair in his burger! 6. He went up to the cashier, she was on the phone, so he told the dark haired girl what happened & she all she said was "Sorry." REALLY!!! THATS ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY! WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE! 7. Then miraculously they managed to make him another burger in a few minutes. THATS NOT OK if it took 25 minutes originally for the first one. 8. Needless to say....NEVER GOING BACK! read more

My guys ordered burgers and couldn't stop talking about them. Huge, flavorful patties on the softest, freshest buns -- definitely some of the best burgers we've had on the road. I decided to switch it up and ordered the tri-tip taco, and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh crisp lettuce, tender meat, cheese, and salsa... simple ingredients done perfectly. The food alone deserves 5 stars, but what really made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone was upbeat, friendly, and smiling, which made us feel genuinely welcome after a long drive. Bronco Burgers has officially become a must-stop tradition for our family as we make trips back and forth to our son's college over the next few years. But I will say the fries were good once I dipped them in the dripping juices and sauce from the burger. But it was a very hearty burger and after a long drive, really hit the spot! If I'm ever in this area again or see another Sylvester's I will definitely make it a point to visit and try a different burger. Favorite dish: Old Fashioned with no cheese. Go out and EAT!

(Conveniently, too, given we're driving the same route in a couple weeks - might well stop here again. It's definitely way better than the usual big-name fast food options that are your only choice for *most* of the drive.) I'd just try to make sure to get there before 1 PM - last time, we learned, we made it accidentally *just* in time for their breakfast menu, which not only means you can get a fried chicken sandwich with a fried egg, clearly making it better, but it's also several dollars *cheaper*. For 9 bucks with fries - compared to 14 for the dinner version - that's probably *cheaper* than the average fast food chicken stop, separate from the fast that it was about a thousand times tastier. Though, while the vibe of this place is very much fast food, the food *itself* isn't fast food - it took exactly as long as you'd expect, given they're making everything fresh to order, but not any longer than that. (I didn't have any complaints about the speed, but it isn't Burger King.) Anyway, we figured since they had two breakfast items (the sandwich and a breakfast burrito) and there were two of us, we'd split both of them, which I wouldn't recommend as much. The breakfast burrito was by no means bad, but it was a bit floppier and not quite as filling - great chicken obviously, being the same chicken, but we agreed, we'd had way better breakfast burritos. The breakfast chicken sandwich was absolutely bomb, though. (Though their "medium" spicy was only a *hint* spicy, in my opinion - I never go straight for the "hot", cause sometimes at hot chicken places it's *stupid* hot, that and I was sharing them with my pepper-averse spouse, but if I went back, I'd just get my own sandwich and make it a little spicier.) Is it the best hot chicken sandwich in California? Probably not... but it *is* probably the best hot chicken sandwich you can get while driving from SoCal to NorCal, so I'm glad it's there.) Also, as far as value... they give you a *lot* of fries. Possibly too many fries. The fries were good, but there was nothing particularly special about them, other than the quantity. We could absolutely have shared an amount of fries *each* of our orders came from, for the two of us. (We didn't finish all the fries.) Only minor complaint, their drinks are all super sugary, and a little pricey at $4 for fountain soda - but at least it's a more premium brand of soda... still probably more than your daily sugar per cup, but at least it *is* sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. It does feel like they're missing out by not having a license to sell beer, though. That sandwich would go *really* well with a craft beer.

Joe had a thought in 1994 to open a great spoon diner serving up good eats to the community. Not just a thought, but realized goal. A year later Joe's Place opened in Paso Robles and in 2006 he moved to Templeton. In 2010, his parents retired and Joe re-opened Joe's Place in Paso Robles. Joe honors his parents by serving up the same chili verde recipe and fresh salsas. Awesome!

Had never had pork belly smoked before but glad we tried a sampling. Only thing I was missing was a slice of white bread. Chef Gregory also shared a sample of the Mac and cheese. He has his own spice blends, and bbq sauce too I believe. You can buy them there as well. Both he and his lady were so friendly to chat with. At first glance, the place looked great--clean, modern, and nicely decorated. The atmosphere felt welcoming for both younger and older guests. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, especially since we were the only ones there at the time. However, things started to go downhill when we looked at the menu. The prices were surprisingly high for this area--honestly more in line with what you'd expect in a bigger city like LA. It immediately set a higher expectation for the food. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with garlic fries. The fries were crispy, but there was barely any actual garlic--just a faint hint of garlic oil. When I think of garlic fries, I expect to see and taste real garlic, not just a suggestion of it. The tri-tip sandwich was the biggest disappointment. It came with only two very thin slices of meat--more like deli cuts than a hearty tri-tip portion--along with arugula and a spread that didn't really complement the sandwich. The flavors just didn't come together. To make matters worse, the root beer was flat, and while the waitress was kind, drink refills were minimal--basically once when we sat down and once when we were finished. For $22 per sandwich, the value just isn't there. For what we spent as a group, we could have had a much better meal elsewhere--honestly even in places like Pebble Beach. I understand businesses have overhead, but pricing needs to match both the quality and the local customer base. The people who live and work here year-round are the ones who will sustain the business, especially during slower seasons. Unfortunately, based on this experience, it'll be a while before I return.
