Juan Pollo is new to Cathedral City so we decided to try it out for lunch and we weren't disappointed! When we walked in we were impressed with the renovation, very clean, and spacious. We had one Pollo cater an event for us on Saturday. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with their service. We place the order over the phone a couple of days ahead of time Sean checked back with us the night before to make sure we had everything we needed, and when I arrived at the set time, everything was boxed and ready to be picked up. both Sean and one of his helpers went ahead and loaded everything into my car. Went there got the special small side to chicken tacos and a drink price was OK at 899 but the tacos were very dry and the chicken meat tasted old definitely Day old chicken was not fresh you could tell. Will not be back for tacos but I might go back for a rotisserie chicken. read more

I wanted to try this place for a few weeks now. I have to start by saying we had the soft chicken tacos and they were very good However rating them low because they were not follow city mandates on requiring customers to have a mask on and they were not verifying vaccination IDs also a city mandate. You can not pick what rules you follow how to I know that you are following health regulations in the back if your not following them out front. read more

I was able to have a conversation with Sean(sp?) and Bonita(sp?) while I waited. They were extremely pleasant. don't plan to dine in. There is no a/c. i feel bad for their employees, company clearly doesn't care about their employees/customers. "profits over anything else" type company. They clearly want you to take your food to go because they have 3 woobling/crappy tables. 1st to review ... hooray .....I am BEYOND elated that Juan Pollo has arrived in Cathedral City. I visited them for the 1st time today, and I am in love. They open at 10:00 am , which is very nice for folks like me that want lunch for breakfast...hahah.... As soon as I entered , I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and charming lady. I immediately noticed this new restaurant was SUPER CLEAN , and the food smelled delicious. I ordered the Leg and Thigh meal with Rice and Beans which came with choice of flour or corn tortilla and salsa at 6.99 , the LARGE SIDE of potato salad at 4.99, and the Grilled Chicken Salad with ranch dressing at 7.99. VERY FAIR prices indeed. We were given enough food to dine like Kings for 19.97 plus tax. The food was prepared HOT and FRESH, yet very quickly. While I was there, I was touched at how caring the nice lady who had take my order truly is ..... because, as I waited, an older lady who required a bit more time and patience arrived, and the cashier was truly kind and caring, and treated her with utmost genuine concern. You simply cannot teach that in any training manual. Upon getting the food home , we dug in ... and everything was DELICIOUS... The chicken was the rotisserie type, and it was obviously FRESHLY PREPARED and it was moist , tender and juicy. YUM.... the rice was excellent and was superbly flavored with what I think is chicken broth .... the beans were terrific too.. they came in plenty of juice that you could add with the rice. The mild salsa that I chose was surprisingly impressive.... there were little chucks of carrots in it that gave it a nice crunch. The potato salad was super tasty with chopped onions and carrots inside. The GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD is HUGE! We are having it for dinner, but I can already see that we will be ordering this salad very often, as it is quite HEALTHY, and the cook obviously prepared it with great care and precision , and it truly is a feast for the eyes to look at. Amazing! We were so excited when we saw this location was coming and have already had it twice in one week. Grew up eating Juan Pollo in Upland and when I moved to the desert it became a rarity as we never wanted to drive to Coachella or Beaumont. Great looking place, service is super accommodating and for some reason the food tastes better than the other locations. The owner even came out and spoke with us before closing about his story and the opening process. Who can complain about bomb food that feeds 2 adults for 2 nights? Rice and potato salad are a must! I'd pay to get the sauce recipe! Definitely will be regulars here! read more

What can I say, juan pollo never disappoints! I was so happy when I saw that they were opening a spot in cat city, I had to check it out! I always get the mini pak, it comes with chicken, tortillas, sides etc it's a real solid amount of food & thats usually the go-to for my family. Right off the bat, the chicken was so flavorful, juicy, & cooked to perfection (the skin is a game changer!!!) & it goes so well with the beans. The potato salad also is a MUST HAVE I repeat, a MUST HAVE! it's so fresh tasting some of the best i've tried. the salsas are also very fresh & the hot is soooo good! it kicks my a** sometimes so what I like to do is get some of the mild and mix them together, I also love that they have horchata and jamaica options for drinks, classics & favorites for my fam as well. My BF and I were visiting the desert and just needed a quick bite to eat. We were so excited when we saw there was a Juan Pollo! It is one of our favorite places. The store is clean and fresh. The service was quick and fantastic. They only have a couple of tables but all of their new tables and chairs have arrived and the owner told us he's setting them up as soon as he can. There was more than enough parking and it's easier to get to than any other restaurant in this intersection. We'll be back!! read more

When you look at the chicken it looks really good but when you eat it it is so dry and no flavor Sam's Club has better rotisserie chicken than this place or better Pollo Loco is the best don't waste your money on this place read more
