Firstly, I love all Juan Pollo restaurants. No matter if they are in West Covina, Fontana or Ontario. I love the chicken rice, the potatoes salad and bean and corn tortillas. The taste is consistent at every location I visited. Juan pollo is so much better than El Pollo loco and the prices are better as well. U can get a half chicken meal with 3 sides for $15. Shout out to the Ontario location for making my order so quickly. I was feeding 4 people and made 4 orders, my wait was less than 5 mins! The food was delicious and hot and everyone was happy. As a patron of 5 years, I was quite disappointed on my last visit (8/5/25). The 2 chicken meal was ordered for dinner and was not thrilled to discover that each chicken was missing a wing. I opened the first box, and a wing was missing. Didn't think much about it, and I assumed it was a "one off' scenario. Opened the second box moments later to find out that it was missing a wing too. There's 7 items on the menu and not much ingredients go into a burrito. So, I guess this location was out of re used meat for their burritos? I've been eating at this location for five years and always wondered why they're microwaving my burrito (you can easily see them microwaving the item from standing at the counter in plain view). Ever since we tried their chicken, we stopped getting chicken from other places. The chicken meat falls off the bone, the flavor was just right, and the size is decent. So, so good! I really enjoyed this place--way better than where I used to go. It always smells like bleach or some kind of cleaner. We ordered a party pack deal from Juan Pollo, and while the food itself was okay, the preparation was disappointing. The chicken was not cut at all -- we received large half chickens, which made it difficult to serve for a party. In addition, there was only white meat provided and a few pieces of dark meat, which was unexpected for a party pack and limited options for guests. The order comes with 9 whole chicken but we got mostly breast. For a group order, we expected the chicken to be properly cut and to include a mix of white and dark meat. In five years my digestive system has degraded to the point I cant eat as much red meat as I used to. Anything really spicy has me in pain. Juan Pollo was always a staple growing up. My coworker and i were in the area and were looking for a place to have some lunch. We opted for Juan pollo and placed our order online said 9-15 minutes for our order to be ready . We arrived about 15 minutes later to cold food. For myself i got a chicken bowl... horrible! The chiken was tasteless and had a weird smell. I tried to eat a bit threw some salsa on it and i just could not. Sure enough when we got back to the office , i had to throw up. Today I went into the Juan Pollo location in Ontario on Archibald and Riverside and their chicken was cooked just right, not to dry or not undercooked, juicy and flavorful.
