I went here the other day for lunch. It's closer than Juan Pollo to my work so thought I would give it a try. The Thursday special was recommended to me so I went on a Thursday. Chicken nachos and a drink for $5.12 (including tax). Super cheap! I loved them but my co-worker thought they were a little salty. But I would love to go again and try their lunch special (2 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, tortillas, salsa, and drink for $4.99). Came here last night to pick up my fried's order for our annual holiday party. Walking in you just get a really good vibe of the place. The staff were very friendly. My friend ordered the #1 party tray, which consists of 6 whole chickens, flour or corn tortillas, salsa, rice, beans and potato salad for $69. The chicken was yummy, not dry at all. Adding the salsa to it just made it even more yummy! The rice was not the regular mexican rice i'm use to but it delish too! We were bummed to find out when we got home that it did not come with tortilla chips. :( read more

The folks at Juan Super Pollo are a generous bunch. So generous that they'll make you a $6 salad that easily lasts for 2 meals or 3 meals. Super Pollo Salad FTW! The salad's ingredients: - Rotisserie chicken chunks (mostly white meat) - Romaine & iceberg lettuce - Cucumbers - Purple onions - Shredded carrots - Avocado slices - Monterey white cheese - Tortilla strips - Dressing of your choice They are very generous with the servings. A tip: ask for light onions and tortilla strips on the side. Those onions are potent and I prefer to add my own amount of strips so it doesn't overwhelm the salad. I just love this place. It's that type of food you just never get tired of eating. I can't always eat pizza or burgers, but Juan's Super Pollo is just like food from home, only better! I love getting the dinner meal with potato salad, coleslaw, and beans. And Usually my husband gets the nachos so I get the best of both worlds. Everything they have here is just bomb! And I love how they have that extra hot salsa on the side. The one they provide with your meal isn't hot enough for me. The girls at the cash register are always so sweet and helpful. They are never rude or too busy. I always like the staff here. Everyone smiles at you! The bathrooms are whatever, but at least they have one. And it's not like I plan on eating in there so I personally don't care. I don't even live close to Juan's and I come here all the time. I know they have the original "Juan Pollo" off of Azusa and Covina Blvd., but this place is 100x better!! I'll never stop coming here no matter where I live. read more

Foods alright, nothing spectacular. It's one of those places that are convenient because you only wait like three minutes for a full meal. Basically the time it takes for them to package it. They are constantly making chicken all day so it's always fresh. I feel like quality has gone down in the recent years but it could be that my expectations got higher because we've been going to other chicken places. But $25 for two chickens and some sides is decent. Especially when you don't have time to cook. Staff is alright, but I was in and out so I can't really comment on that. I ordered Juans Super Pollo this past weekend for my sons 3rd bday party and it was a hit!! I ordered the party package #3 and it was plenty of food that there was so much leftover. I will definitely be ordering from here again for future events. The best part also was that i called the day before and booked my package over the phone. When i got there at the time I said I would to pick up the food everything was ready and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They helped me and my husband take the food to our car and organize it in the back so it wouldn't spill or anything. read more

I totally agree with Terren on this place. In case you are wondering, this place seems to be a total knock-off of the Juan Pollo chain, from the menu options to the pricing. Fortunately, the food is totally on par with Juan Pollo, so I can care less that they didn't have the common courtesy to at least change the name of place so it wasn't so blatantly obvious. In fact, I think I like the rice better here. Sitting in a small strip mall on the southeast corner of Arrow Highway and Irwindale Boulevard, this place does not exactly jump out at you, so you have to look for it. The store itself is kind of small, so it's not really good for groups of people, or for dates, unless you are trying to send a message. But the service is friendly and the place is clean. Conveniently located in the corner plaza of Arrow Highway and Irwindale Ave. Juan's Super Pollo is a small "Mom and Pop Shop" that specializes in rotisserie chicken. The chicken is delicious, moist, and tender. It's probably some of the best rotisserie chicken I've had in a while. They also have amazing daily specials, however my favorite is the Tuesday Special (Half Chicken, Tortilla, Salsa, Small Salad, and a Medium Drink). You can get all that for less than $6! Tried this place for lunch today and it was very good. The inside is clean and the staff is friendly. They take and serve orders quickly so don't let a line worry you. I had mine to go but wouldn't mind staying to eat in the dining area. I tried the two piece lunch special with two sides and a drink. It also came with tortillas and salsa. I am not usually a big fan of chicken but this really is outstanding. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, the meat comes apart easily. We discovered some great food at reasonable prices. I had soft tacos that were made with some really flavorful chicken. The Spanish rice was very light and fluffy. Hard to find authentic Spanish rice. My colleagues had the rotisserie chicken that both really enjoyed. The rotisserie chicken looks like a cross between a Pollo Loco and Charo chicken. ZERO STARS!!! My family have been customers for YEARS now, unfortunately today we bought two sides of potato salad amongst other things, but the potato salad was spoiled. We decided to take it back to let the workers know and to prevent anyone from getting served the same spoiled batch. The two women working there were totally and completely rude. They blamed us and told us that we left the potato salad out, thus resulting in the sour taste. Instead of offering to right their wrong they continued to put the blame on us. What ever happened to customer service? We went back with good intentions not even asking for a refund nor expecting one and yet these ladies, instead of apologizing, instantly went on the defense. Came here around 2pm to pick up some chicken for a late lunch. I walked in at the same time with 2 other guest. First guest placed his order with no problem, but when it was my turn (and the guest after me) the worker attitude changed. She took our order like we were idiots and was not friendly throughout the process. We were the only two wearing business attire... so maybe there some resentment there? My food came out at the same time as the other guest. She slid it across the counter and just stared at the both of us. Not a word was said, not even after grabbing our food and thanking her. Nothing to special about the non spicy "hot" salsa or tortilla. I initially said hey there's a Juan Pollo over here, but after looking up the reviews I realized it wasn't the same thing, but thought how bad could it be. I ordered the chicken nachos since someone posted a pic and it looked decent. The chips were fine, beans good, sour cream good, the guacamole was starting to discolor a bit but I wouldn't deduct any stars for that. Let's just say, I've had better. The restaurant is very small and crowded, which I'll admit annoyed me a little when my stomach was empty. However, if the food were good, I'd forgive that. Now, don't get me wrong...it wasn't terrible. But I wouldn't go back (except my coworkers seem to really like it, so I guess I'm stuck). Maybe it was what I ordered: I had one of the specials, which was three soft chicken tacos with cilantro and diced onions. I love cilantro, diced onions, chicken and soft tacos, so you'd think I'd be ok, right?? Wrong. The sheer amount of cilantro they put on these things was ridiculous...and yes, while I did scrape some of it off, it was still a little overpowering. The chicken rice was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Guess that's how I'd sum it up: nothing too great...definitely not good enough to get more than 3 stars from me. It was extremely cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for, but still...there are many other places I'd choose to go to lunch before I'd choose this place. read more

This Saturday we had my son's 4th birthday in Azusa. My wife tells me I have to pick up the party food from Juans Super Pollo? I was like who? You mean Juan Pollo? So this establishment is a smaller company and not the same company. My first thought was damn! How is it going to taste? To my surprise their food was excellent. The chicken was moist and very well cooked. The rice was on point and the beans just as good. The potato salad was ok, but maybe I like moms better. For 130.00 we got 12 whole chickens but they cut it up for you, that was nice. Half pan of rice, beans, tortillas, and potato salad. They also provided plates spoons forks napkins not jus a couple allot. This fed at least 25 people plus food to take home.
