Was looking for a place to eat for a quick lunch around the area and after looking at the reviews this place had the most 5star reviews. It's in the same plaza as the Ethiopian cafe which is our regular but the place is closed between 1-5 so we decided to try this place instead. Upon entering the place has so many cute chicken decorations! My child loved looking around the place. Seating are booth tables, they're plenty of tables empty so we sat near the fridge of drinks. We ordered and paid at the front station. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We ordered 4 piece chicken combo original with rice and beans (we chose the flour tortilla), a torta (pastor), and two cans of Diet Coke. We got our drinks first and sat down and only waited for 10minutes. The staff gave us the food on a tray and the smell was so good. The chicken was juicy and the skin was slightly crispy. It was seasoned well and came with two types of salsa (one spicy and one nonspicy). There were three tortillas with the dish and we made use of them all. The torta was big, crispy and toasted bread with plenty of pastor filling! It was almost the same price as the 4 priced chicken combo, we just didn't see a price for the other menu with photos. We finished everything and didn't leave any leftovers. Overall such a great place for chicken! For the price, I might order more chicken dish since there was so much more meat and filling than the torta, but the torta itself was pretty good to try. Restroom is unisex and individual room with a urinal and toilet!

Pay at the counter type place. Clean environment and delicious chicken better than Juan pollo and Pollo loco. The sides are fire!

It's located next to Mi Pulgarcito Pupiseria Salvadoreña and near GS Ethiopian Cafe. I had went to this plaza for another restaurant but they closed already for lunch. I decided to try this grilled chicken place, reminds me of Juan Pollo or El Pollo Loco. It seems family owned with a young teen taking my order. I chose to try the 16 piece family special with half spicy and regular chicken ($44.99) which came with 4 large sides, tortillas and salsa. I chose their macaroni salad, potato salad, rice, and beans. I got a lunch special for myself that came with a can of soda. The seasoning on the chicken was good, the spicy chicken had a good heat. The skin was crispy and the chicken was moist. My family did not like the sides of macaroni and potato salad. The staff was nice and the wait time was not long.

If you prefer an upgrade from El Pollo Loco chicken this is the place to go. If you love savory delicious spicy Mexican chicken with tortillas that comes with comfort food sides like rice and beans this is a hidden gem in West Covina. Chicken was well seasoned not overly salty. It was moist and not too oily or greasy. Portion for a family meal with some carbs is very filling. Got to come back soon to enjoy some delicious chicken again.

Los Pollos del Pueblo is a delicious chicken restaurant. I have stopped by on several occasions to pick up lunch or dinner. The flavor of the chicken has been consistent. The owner is usually at the front helping customers. He is nice and always asks how I am doing. I usually get the 2 piece combo with potato salad, rice, and tortillas. The chicken is spicy and juicy. They also have a non-spicy option. Their salsas have a good flavor. The red one is spicy. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating. I like the bright yellow walls and decorations. I will stop by again when I need my chicken fix.

We were very close to going to 3 different food places until I spotted Rostichicken. I remember coming here frequently back in the 2000's when it used to be Juan Pollo. Two years ago it changed ownership. Basically the same menu items, but better rotisserie chicken, according to the chef himself. The man behind the counter said he worked there when it used to be Juan Pollo. His friend had bought the business, and they added something to the ingredients making their rotisserie chickens taste even better than the original. Well, the man wasn't lying. The chicken is freshly made, moist, juicy, tender, and very flavorful. Perfectly seasoned and roasted with a nice brown on the skins. It definitely has better flavors than the boring Costco's chicken. On Tuesdays they offer a deal of 2 whole chickens for $25, a $3 savings. We also got free flour tortillas and salsa. Corn tortillas are available as well. We ordered a small side of potato salad, beans, and 2 extra salsas. Extra salsa in a small container is $1.50 each. A bit pricey as you can get a tub of salsa cheaper at some grocery stores. Our total was less than $40. It fed 3 grown men with still plenty of leftovers. It was a very good decision to get Rostichicken as all 3 of us enjoyed the food. My one friend is extremely picky and wasn't even convinced about Rostichicken. He said he was gonna eat his spaghetti leftovers. But once he tried the chicken, he decided to make himself some chicken tacos. He agreed that the chicken tastes really good. I like my chicken with lemon, because it makes it that much better!! I also ate my chicken with garlic spread (toumiya) that I bought from a grocery store. Perfection!! I prefer dark meat, but their chicken breast is so moist, tender, and flavorful that I enjoyed every bite. This is a fast food place, so very quick service. All he needs to do is cut up the whole chickens and wrap them up. They offer daily specials, so you can find one that suits your family needs. There's a small seating area inside the restaurant, and I have dined in here before a very long time ago. The place literally looks the same as twenty years ago. They do accept credit cards with 3% fees, so it's nice if you don't have cash on hand.

This place happened to be on the way home, so we decided to give it a shot and I'm really glad we did. We ordered the lemongrass chicken and the crispy chicken, and both were excellent. The chicken itself was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The garlic rice was another standout! Fragrant, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The plate also came with a small cup of broth, which was a nice complement to the meal, although it was a little mild for my personal taste. The only downside for us was the portion balance. A large portion of the plate is filled with raw cabbage, which makes the dish appear bigger than it actually is. While the rice portion was good, the protein felt a bit limited. We're also not big fans of plain raw cabbage, so we ended up leaving all of it behind. If it had been seasoned or lightly blanched, it might have felt more like a thoughtful side rather than filler. That said, the flavor of the chicken and the rice alone would bring me back. If you're looking for something quick and tasty, this is definitely a great stop. But if you're coming in absolutely starving, the portion-to-price ratio might leave you wishing for a bit more.

It can get cramped just by positioning of chairs, etc., but no biggie when we went, just keep this in mind for rush hour. Didn't take too long for our food to come out. For our visit, we got the classics: 1) Lomo Saltado: -Deliciously seasoned and moist pieces of lean beef with sauteed onions, tomatoes, with fries and rice. -I usually don't like sauteed veggies, but the slight char and the sweetness went so deliciously well with the umami of the beef and the double carbs of the rice and the fries are just so deliciously indulgent with the salty combo of the proteins. -Love, love, LOVE the Aji and Chimichurri sauces that they have here too. Truly the pinnacle of this type of cuisine and adds such a delicious burst of flavor to an already flavorful dish. 2) Chaufa de Pollo: -Simple chicken fried rice with onions and some scrambled eggs and bits of chicken. Some chicken bits were a tad dry and the rice was a little oily, but not too big of a deal since this was a very indulgent lunch for us. Would love to come back again to try more of their menu.

Now the food.... I had the Chon's Breakfast Comal. The chorizo was ok. Lacked quite a bit of flavor. Potatoes tasted kinda like they were boiled and then finished in a sauce, then plated. The bell peppers and onions were fantastic. A lot. But they were cooked well. Over easy eggs were decent, despite one of them being cooked all the way through. Comal was perfect temperature. But insanely greasy (which is expected from chorizo). Rice. Eh... Rice is rice. Wasn't bad. But was all "Oh my goodness this is amazing." Beans tasted like the refried Rosarita's can. Just topped with cheese. The salsa. It was pretty good. The 1st time. Until I found a hair. Then I was given a 2nd one. And when I decided to eat it, it was no good. It was starting to spoil. I realized this once I put it on a bite I was about to take and immediately put it in my food i was about to chew in my napkin. After about 15 minutes when my server finally came by, I told her of the situation. She said "I'll go check." Then disappeared. Someone else gave me the check, and then someone else brought the receipt. The initial server didn't pop up until I was getting up to walk out. So no manager interaction. No "we'll comp your coffee." Just a "Sorry you didn't like it." As I walked out. Ambiance is cool, but some table placement doesn't make sense. That needs to be addressed. Will I come back here? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm talking like 80 no /20 yea. So I guess we'll see.. So I'm giving this place 1 star. I'm sorry, but this is my opinion based on my 1st experience here. Maybe it'll be better. We'll see....
