I have been here a few times & the food & staff is really good. I got the chicken & dumplings the 1st time & they were just OK, a lot of broth & not creamy. This last time I got the broasted chicken & it was outstanding. They make it to order & it is crispy & juicy with good flavor. I had the blueberry chess pie & that was great as well. I drive 40 minutes or more to eat here. Their breakfast is awesome. They have many choices and will let you make changes to the meals they have on the menu to match what you want. Service is good and the food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. The kicker is their cinnamon french toast which they make from their cinnamon bread roll. Game changer!!! Came here during pie Tuesday and will never be back!! I waited patiently to be served and absolutely nobody acknowledged me not even the owner/manager!!!! I was standing right in front of the pie case and every single worker either walk past me, looked at me and kept walking. Two more people came in and they were seen almost instantly. So I'm still waiting normally I would say something but at this point I wanted to see how long it would take for someone to finally say something....the lady with the short reddish hair I'm thinking she's the owner walk past me went behind the pie case and started cutting pies! Still nothing and it's been a good five minutes no lie!! I'm upset at that point because she look at me several times and didn't ask if I been waited on, if needed anything. And the place wasn't busy at all. If I could I'll give this place a zero star. I felt as if my business was not wanted so I simply removed myself from the diner through the same door I should've never walk in. Very disappointed!! read more

Calling BS on this place! Based on reviews (thanks Yelpers) decided to try this place for breakfast. It was horrible! Service was great and it is a nice little place for a strip mall, but the food is beyond the worst I have seen for breakfast in a long while. Good news is they can fix eggs correctly, but where else do I go? Coffee - Worst I have had anywhere. Office coffee is better. Sausage & Bacon - Horrible - could not eat, had to spit it out! Very foul tasting. Hash Brown Potatoes - Fried in some sort of foul tasting oil. You people ever hear of butter? Pancake - Decent, but cold as a brick - didn't even melt the butter. Had to call a redo. Cinnamon Bread French Toast - Meh - nothing special, although they brag about it. This place promotes their pies heavily. Wouldn't try them on a bet after eating their main courses. Don't believe the reviews - this place is among the worst for breakfast and turns me off to anything else they serve. One of our go to places. Always good service and wide variety on the menus. They serve breakfast all day which is a plus for me. Deli items are very good. They have a good selection of fresh baked goods - but I haven't yet tried them. Always too full after the generous portions at lunch. Nice neighborhood place. read more

Walking in on a Sunday morning and you can tell this place is a local treasure. There was a small line and every table was filled, even the ones outside. I think we waited about 5 minutes, which wasn't bad at all! The menu was filled with the usual breakfast staples but they also have lots of specials. I got the Cinnamon Swirl sandwiches with sausage and egg with hash browns for $8.99. Basically a twist on your breakfast sandwich. It came out pretty quick! Since this was a sandwich, I was hoping to be able to grab it with my hands and eat it but because of the cinnamon swirl bread, it made it difficult. The bread was soggy and the sausage patty wasn't big enough to fill the bread ratio. The scrambled egg was okay, it wasn't seasoned so it just tasted like normal scrambled eggs. The hash browns portion was huge! I like my hash browns crispy all the way. These were mostly soggy and only the top was crispy the way I like it. This special is a HUGE portion, I had to bring the other sandwich home. It was tasty for a good price! There could be some improvements to my dish but I'm not complaining. Me and my fiance went here based on the reviews, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is very home like, which is something we are big fans of. The staff was beyond friendly and fast even though they were beyond busy. It is pretty big despite the outside appearance, they even have a nice little sitting area outside which is nice. The food was good, big portions for a good price. Food was hot and came out pretty fast. And the place was clean!! Have been here a few times with the family and they always take great care of us and quick service! The place is always clean and comfortable every time we come in. We received service right away and my coffee cup throughout the morning, never was more then half empty. Service was great. I got the cinnamon swirl french toast combo with eggs and bacon. All of it was great. The french toast is probably the best french toast I have ever had. It comes with 4 pieces, which is a big portion for $7. My friend got gyro omelette with feta and vegetables and really enjoyed. The portion was big wither her taking half home. Comes with a side - if you make it biscuits and gravy, you're looking at a day's worth of calories for $9.49.
