I don't recommend this place at all. On 10/25, I booked an appointment with Mandy for Sunday 11/7 at 11:45AM and in the information, I've already included that I wanted a design similar to one of her previous designs. I arrived early at around 11:35AM and she was still currently with another client, which was fine since I was early. I sat there waiting until 12:30PM and then decided to leave because first, I was patient enough to wait almost an hour and on top of that, when I asked Mandy if she had water, she said yes, but the water dispenser was broken. Then instead of Mandy apologizing to me for the long wait, her client was the one apologizing to me for taking up my time frame. By 12:30, I was thirsty and hungry so I've had it because it didn't appear that she was going to be done any time soon. Note again that my scheduled appt was for 11:45AM. When I got up to tell her that she can just cancel my appointment, it was then she said sorry to me and tried to make me wait another 5mins saying that she was almost done. I didn't wait and just left. Unacceptable. Note to others, bring your own water and prepare to wait an hour after your scheduled appt because they will not honor it. This was my first time coming here and I will never be coming back nor recommend this place to any my friends. read more

Julie was able to reach out to me after my review so I guess when you send emails through the booking app, she won't get it. Definitely reach out if something is wrong, she will fix it for you. I had a manicure redone with Anna. She's really nice and took her time with my cuticles but it was speedy careful work :) Anna was able to get the sides of my nails I'm always anxious about technicians missing because they're afraid of getting polish on my nails. She had a great technique and I wish I would do gel with her next time, but it gets so pricey sometimes :( The downside for basic manicures is that it takes sooo long to dry. I tried, I really tried to like this place. The reviews have been so positive. I've delayed writing this review a couple weeks, but I've concluded this place really only deserves 2 stars. I booked an appointment for a pedicure, shellac manicure, and leg wax advertised for $70. I walk in and an Asian girl is sitting cross legged with shoes off on the chairs in the "waiting" area. She looks at me and then her phone. I'm looking around, but I don't see anyone else. Then she looks back up at me and asks if I'm here for an appointment. I was like yeah... She said something about nail polish... She's hard to understand. Her name is Anna or Ana. She made me feel out of place and awkward since she was so engrossed in texting. Whatever... If she's good then I don't care...but she's not. The pedicure was bad. I would prefer one of those cheap nail salons. The lukewarm water was in a small bowl. My feet were in the water for about 2 minutes. Then she left my feet out in the cold the whole time. Why couldn't she just put a towel over them? Worst yet, she didn't scrub my feet and I really needed my heels scrubbed! she didn't clean and cut my nails very well. I loved the vibrating chair (no massage) and the aromatherapy pack she put over my eyes, BUT halfway through the pedicure she stopped for 10 minutes. I'm pretty dang sure she was on her phone again. The massage was 10 minutes and it was ok. She gives very soft massages. Moving on to the shellac manicure. She forgot to massage my hands and realized after it was over. My nails chipped within 4 days. She occasionally started texting during the manicure. The nail art, which is posted on Yelp, turned out awful! I mean, really. On my toes, she messed up and just painted over so my toes look weird. Ok now to the wax: THEY DID NOT WAX ME. The whole reason I booked this package was because it was a good deal with waxing. Not such a good deal without waxing. Anna said the person who waxed no longer worked there. The owner told me on the phone that person left home sick right before I got there... So which one is lying? Sighs. It bothered me was how unprofessional it all seemed. The entire place was seriously cluttered and messy. I.E. There was 3 big water jugs on the floor near the entrance. Anna texting the entire time ruined the "spa experience" which would've been forgivable if she had done a good job. All in all, try another place. Just had my eyelashes done by Mandy. Picture shoes lashes... This is the second time I've had my eyelashes done but the first time I've had it done here. Overall, I just enjoy coming to Julies Nail Room. It's quiet, has a chill atmosphere and both Mandy and Crystal are super I think their spa is a hidden gem. Update-- I had to have my lashes removed due to an allergy to latex. Which I didn't know was used in the glue. I needed to have them removed ASAP as my lashes were falling out. I reduced the stars from 5 to 3 only because I will not be going back for lashes. I will most likely return for manicures as I still think Mandy and Crystal are talented and do a good job on manicures. read more

I oftentimes get antsy with the dremel / have had a couple bad experiences with getting nails removed, but it was painless and my nails still came out pretty long and strong! Crystal was THE BEST nail artist I have ever been to. She did my nails for my wedding and they are seriously one of the most favorite things I "wore" that day. She booked me a 3 hour appointment (because I was a bride) for my pedicure and manicure, let me take my time choosing colors, and even made sure I liked the color at every step of the way. I can be super indecisive so allowing me to view the colors at my own leisure and on my nails, was awesome. I also got to sit back and relax during my pedicure -- I even fell asleep in her fully reclining chair. And to top it all off, her nail art is AMAZING. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, which was really intricate, and she took on the challenge. Well I tried to give them a chance with the new staff and left highly disappointed. I used to go here with the prior staff for over a year. They had good and bad days but mostly good so I continued to go. Not to mention the booking app made it very convenient. Since they re-opened with new staff I wanted to give them a shot. I booked and mani pedi with Lynni. She was super nice and very talkative and wanted to make sure I was comfortable which I truly appreciated. However, quality has slipped. I can guess by technique either Lynni has never done nails before or she was nervous maybe. Not sure. For sure lacking proper technique. My regular pedicure took 2 Hours!! And that was with a massage of maybe 1 min for both legs that consisted of her basically just rubbing lotion in. For me that is the only part I look forward to. She also did a horrible paint job. Again she was super nice just think maybe she is inexperienced. When we got to my manicure again very slow. She took forever cutting and filing and then didn't know how to properly take out cuticles. After 15min and we only got thru 3 finger with filing and cuticles I had enough and had to leave. At this rate my manicure with no polish was going by to take at least an hour and I really didn't plan on spending 3 hours for a mani pedi. I get it Julie had to completely re staff and maybe she just picked some newbies but I rather pay to get them done by a professional. Since this is a service I can do myself I am spending money for service and a better job. Which I didn't feel I received. They were all very nice but for me he quality is most important for this service. The other ladies in the shop seemed even more confused and asked a lot of questions. Maybe some kinks to get worked out as they Re-group. I'll be on the look out for something better in the area maybe in a few year with more experience under their belts this shop can go back to great quality. read more

Only one word comes to mind after today's appointment ...DISAPPOINTED After skimming reviews on both Facebook & Yelp I was expecting a wonderful spa like experience. I had booked the basic manicure & spa pedicure for my Mom and myself. I will start off on a positive note swill say the zero gravity chairs are wonderful. They have a great selection of both gel and regular polish. The staff is nice and the place is clean. I just don't think the price fits the service I experienced. As mentioned in previous reviews the location can be hard to find if its your first time there. Being close to apartments parking wasn't the easiest but we found a spot in the tiny lot. We walked in at 1:05 and had an apt for 1 pm. After my Mom & I picked out our color we each went to our "room" for spa pedicure. I looked at my phone and it was 1:10, since the spa pedicure is advertised as a 60 minute service I was expecting to be done around 2-2:10 since we did get a late start. Sadly my spa pedicure and basic manicure were both done by 2 pm. What happened to 90 minute service?? While our pedicures were coming to an end another mother/daughter came in and I felt the service was rushed to help them next. For both services to be completed in 50 minutes vs 90 was a huge disappointment and I felt ripped off. This place didn't set it self apart from any another other salon in the area. I paid $45 for the same thing that most nail salons charge $30 for. I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon. read more

I just got out of the salon and I have to say I love it!!! Trinity took great care of me. Thanks yelp!!! It was my first time here and i just love the environment of the spa because it's small and not like those bigger one where everyone just speak in Vietnamese. I love it because it's calm and she did a great job. It's clean too. Service was amazing. We had good conversation and she really gentle. I love the spa chair they had. Omg u literally lay all the way down like a bed and your feet are up there so she can take care of them. Man it was so relaxing and I was about to fall asleep. Haha. Trinity is very caring. Wow this place is awesome, most relaxing pedicure I've had to date. Julie is very professional, easy to talk to, and did such a great job on my nails. I went for the spa pedicure & manicure (shellac) package. Such a good deal for $50. My favorite part was the spa pedicure - the massage chair is reclined with the massage feature on the entire time. They give you a warm neck pillow and a warm eye cover and I basically fell asleep since it was so relaxing. The spa pedicure also comes with exfoliating, a massage, and warm oils. They only have 2 pedicure chairs but they are enclosed in their own rooms, which is nice since you get some privacy. They have a large selection of gel colors (OPI/Gelish) to choose from. I opted for a grey purple and loved how it turned out (pic posted). They take walk ins but try to make an appointment if you can. Was really impressed with Julie and the mani/pedi overall. I've been meaning to come for a while, but the last time I tried to call, they were closed. After reading the amazing reviews for Julie on here, I booked an appointment for her via her website. Due to my full time student/3 part time jobs schedule, I was really limited and had to wait 2 weeks. I Google mapped directions first. While this place is pretty hard to find, it's definitely doable. Just keep track of your street numbers! I walked in and Norma ended up helping me pick my colours. I had originally wanted a french shellac, but after seeing their colour changing ones, I was sold! She asked me to have a seat and offered to get me a beverage. While my appointment was booked to be with Julie, I'm actually really glad Norma did my nails instead! I hate getting my cuticles and nails cut due to bad past experiences. But Norma was gentle as can be! She's such a sweetie too! (They're ALL really nice and fun to talk to, btw!) Norma even showed me what the pedicure were like. I'll definitely be back for those. There's currently a groupon circulating for them, but even without, their services are still pretty cheap. I was looking up local nail salons on a Friday night, desperately in need of a shellac mani the next day. I came upon Julie's and was super excited because their online booking system makes things super convenient! And the website says that shellac manis were only $17.50 so I was even more excited about going to a highly rated nail salon for a mani on the cheaper side. The location is kind of hidden and tucked away behind some trees- I never would've noticed it if it hadn't been for Yelp. However parking was easy and there are signs leading you right to the front door. It's a small room with only 2 chairs for manis and I think 2 pedi chairs as well, but the ambiance is nice and there's relaxing music playing to avoid the usual awkwardness of a quiet nail salon. My appointment was with Lily, I couldn't hear a lot of what she was saying because she was a little soft spoken but she was sweet and welcoming. She filed the nails on one of my hands noticeably shorter than the other, so I had to ask her to refile the longer ones. She also forgot the foundation coat for shellac. She applied the base coat and then the first layer of color. Later she told me to lift my thumb up in the UV light so that my polish wouldn't touch anything before drying, which I did. Unfortunately after my first layer of shellac, my thumb touched something and it got a little messed up. Lily seemed irritated, saying "see? that is why I told you to lift it up." Uh sorry?... but it happens sometimes! Multiple nail techs also offered the customer next to me a drink but no tea or water was offered to this gal. When Julie was ringing me up to pay and I asked her about the $17.50 discount for shellac, she told me that deal was no longer in effect and asked me where I saw the price. She was surprised it's still listed on the website... but that is probably something important to notice, especially when many customers (old and new) are using that website to book appointments. My friend had recommended this place to me and i thought i'd give it a shot. I don't think i will be returning. You basically have to make an appt because they run out fast... which you can do easily online. I find that super convenient. I hate calling and waiting on the phone while they check their book if they have appts so this was def a plus. I had made my appt for 5:45 PM. I got there by 5:20 hoping they'd take me early and it was on my way back to home from work so i didn't want to come back twice. Worst case scenario i'd just wait till my appt. I HAD TO WAIT TILL 6:05! which really irritated me. Like whats the point of making an appt if you're not going to take me at that time... I was on a time crunch i had other errands/ appts to be at. I might as well have gone to a diff salon who take drop ins at this point. After leaving the review below, I was contacted by Julie with an apology and offer to come back. Seriously guys, their customer service is top notch. Her daughter Crystal ended up re-doing my nails and her attention to detail is amazing! I'm not knocking the other girl who did my nails the first time because she was very sweet and thorough, too--but Crystal is really one of a kind! The one that MAKES you want to keep coming back. She is so personable and a super hard worker; she didn't finish until after 8:30pm because she noticed maybe it was my cuticles that made the polish lift the first time so she took the time to clean things up. I truly admire folks who put their customers first and make an effort to make things right when things go south. Before I started going to Julie's Nail Room, I went to a nail salon where they would grind and file down my nail bed so much that it would burn. My nails were brittle and always ended up breaking a few days after the shellac manicure. You can book appointments online via an app called Vagrao. Which I love since I hate being on the phone (yes, even for the minute it takes to book the appoitment.) 2. A Shellac mani & regular pedi is only $50, which is a pretty damn sweet deal if you ask me. 3. They have these chairs that they do pedis in, where they lay you down... and geez, nap city! I've only had my nails done by Norma & she is as sweet as can be. The girls there are all so sweet, they smile & greet you as well. Norma applies polish with precision & her manicures have lasted over three weeks each time. You know how once a gel mani grows out, around the edge of the cuticle, it becomes rough & catches in your hair? Not here! This place is small, with only two nail stations and two pedicure stations. I'm absolutely in love with their pedicure stations. You sit in a recliner massage chair with a warm eye mask and a neck pillow. Before I knew it, I was off in dreamland and woke up to them calling my name repeatedly. Trinity and Crystal did an perfect mani and pedi on me. Trinity is super sweet, and is awesome at doing nails. My cuticles were clean and she didn't cut me once!
