We had a reservation a week in advance for a Saturday lunch, but we could have also walked in because it wasn't too busy at all. The vibes and ambiance inside is what I live for. It's so cute and picturesque, and it gives modern, French living. We got the lunch menu which doesn't have the gnocchi (which I was looking forward to) but I got the grilled chicken sandwich instead and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Ok, maybe spending $25 for a sandwich is crazy but I promise you it's really delicious. The chicken was so juicy and paired really well with the pesto. My friend got the Croque Madame which is so hearty and not your average eggs on toast. I would recommend both those dishes. For dessert we got the madeleine which was baked fresh and came out warm, but it was only four madeleines and for $16, it was more of a once in a lifetime thing. Opened in Feb 2023, but I have been anticipating and tracking this restaurant since Q4 2022 because I truly love French cuisine and have already been to almost all the other French options already in LA and surrounding. To start the inside is really beautiful and designed well. It's very bright, open, and modern, but still casual, albeit more trendy casual. Parking is available for $4 for 2 hours in the parking garage attached to same building on Landmark St near Bianca, but street parking is available as well. Our server was very polite and helpful, although the dishes did come out slowly. As mentioned they specialize in French cuisine and have a lot of great options to choose from. Tonight we started with the Endive Salad which was lovely, light, and had a delicious dressing. Next came the Poisson Cru, which was sliced amberjack in a rich and tasty broth. For our entrees we chose the Ricotta Gnocci, which was a real hit and had a great saffron flavor, and the Wild Sea Bream which was cooked perfectly and down right delicious. Finally for dessert we finished the meal with the Brown Butter Madeleines and loved them. They went fast and were a great end to the meal. I came here with my coworkers for a team dinner and I enjoyed my experience there! The food is considered French but there was definitely hints of Asian flavors in everything so I would classify it as French Asian fusion! My favorite dishes were the duck confit cigars, the half chicken and the bok choy! However the other dishes were good but a bit on the pricier side for what you got. In terms do service, the staff was super sweet and attentive to our table! We did get an early start but the restaurant definitely got packed quickly but even in those situations, there was a different person to help us when we needed! In terms of the ambiance, the decor was amazing. The cups were these super thin glasses and the wine glasses had the skinniest stems that did make me a little nervous but the glassware was beautiful. The tables had candles that they lit up but I will say that the candle on my side of the table was melting in a weird direction that got the wax on the table. The high ceilings and large windows were a nice touch as well! It's definitely a cute place to have dinner with friends and just a nice night out! read more

Ugh, where to begin with this place? Ambience is nice. The decor is nice but no better than any high-end restaurant in LA. The food is all right, however it is super super tiny portions at mega premium pricing. We have absolutely no problem spending money on high-end restaurants. We eat out at fine dining restaurants 3 to 4 nights a week. However, the portions usually align with the pricing. The oysters were super tiny and lacked flavor due to the toppings; roe and celery. We had the chicken liver pate, which was the size of two silver dollars. Well, the test was nice, it was messy and the pate itself only consisted of about a tablespoon underneath all of the coverings. Very disappointing. We had the duck cigars which sounded like they would be amazing and full of flavor. However, upon arrival, they looked like deep fried eggrolls. The flavor was mediocre. We did the lamb chops which had a nice flavor however we're very heavy and mainly tasted like oregano due to being drenched in it. Which seems very odd for lamb chops. We ordered the scallops which looked lovely however were completely raw in the middle so the remainder of the meal I was nervous I was going to get food poisoning. We ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert which came in an espresso cup. Super super tiny and the eclairs, which were very very thin. But my shock and horror came when we received the bill and my glass of wine was $40. FORTY DOLLARS for a glass of wine. When I asked the server for a glass of Chardonnay, she was very pleasant and went and got it when I asked for the Chardonnay I was assuming I would get the house Chardonnay but no no she brought me the smallest most expensive glass of wine. She never bothered to offer the hospitality of telling me the cost or giving me an option to the alternative. This completely tainted what would've been a lovely experience. We also ordered the Duck Confit, which honestly looked like eggrolls. Delicious egg rolls none the less. We also ordered the chicken entree. Had dinner at Juliet last night. Been wanting to check this place out. Ambiance: beautiful A+ Food: just ok We had: Endive salad - yummy! Amberjack Crudo - yummy Mushroom risotto - great but nothing to write home about Duck cigars - good but not a main. You get 4 duck egg rolls with a dipping sauce. This needed a side of greens or something. For desert we had the eclairs - get this! And cheesecake - just ok Cocktails: the Coco Chanel was amazing! Service: Waiters need basic training. Not once but twice two separate waiters tried to take my drink and my husband's drink while we were still drinking it! First, I don't like anyone touching my glass while I'm drinking my drink and that this happened twice I finally said to the second waiter, hey would you ASK if we're finished? This part was super rude on their poorly trained staff. Not ok. Frankly they should have comped us. Isn't there a food safety rule that once someone's fingers touches your glass they have to replace it? So gross. Overall, I would not recommend this place. This is the definition of style over substance. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food and service were inexcusably lacking for the price. At first glance, this restaurant looks lovely and inviting. Perhaps its the candles on the table or the floor-to-ceiling windows letting in natural light and a nice breeze. Maybe the $60 Aesop soap in the bathroom inexplicably elevates your experience. Or the wines on display, so expensive they need a dedicated security camera, make you feel extravagant. Whatever the case, the ambience is pleasing enough. We ordered five dishes--bread (yes you have to pay for bread), summer squash, gnocchi, duck egg rolls, and a chicken with lentils. The portions are tiny and all the food is extremely salty. The bread was served with butter which was caked in sea salt on top. The squash was so salty I could not even taste the squash. The gnocchi cost $32 and probably had 4 bites of food. And it too was extremely salty. The duck egg rolls have some fancy name, but they are basically just egg rolls. They are served on a platter on top of a cup which had a napkin stuffed inside it to make it seem like more volume. The duck meat inside is minced to death so it just tastes like paste. Salty paste. The chicken was actually not bad but the outside was super salty so I didn't eat the skin, where most of the flavor was. This is supposed to be modern French cuisine but I doubt people in France consume that much salt. Our server was very rude and gave us reluctant service. After we were seated, he took a long time to come take our order. Then he was not very friendly in explaining the menu or restaurant concept. We initially ordered 3 dishes for 3 people, and then he said that wasn't enough food. When we seemed confused, we got a halfhearted explanation about how you're supposed to order multiple dishes to share, and he gave us a look like we were a bunch of idiots. At the end of the meal, I had barely taken my last bite of extremely salty chicken when he swooped in to take the plate away. When we said no desserts, he said okay and just walked away. I've had better service from a vending machine, because at least a machine doesn't give you attitude. In summary, this restaurant is a total scam. Based on the pictures, you would think it is a nice place for a date or special occasion. But it will end up being a huge disappointment where you are not treated well and have to eat tablespoons of salt. read more

Finally I went back in May, and here to say this place should be at least 4 stars on Yelp. The food is really delicious. For a party of 5 we ordered: - endive salad - oysters (only comes with 3), but really delicious - poisson cru (amberjack), which was probably my favorite dish! - asparagus - gnocchi - dourade royale (sea bream) - poulet roti (chicken) - I normally don't order chicken at a restaurant, but was really pleasantly surprised by this dish! There's still a few other things I'd love to try on this menu (like the lamb chops), so I'll definitely be back! Cocktails and wine list are decent. They serve their dirty martinis with pit-in olives on the side which is interesting, but also delicious. My only issue with this place was that our server was not very knowledgeable about drinks or their food menu, which made for an awkward start to the meal. Ever since it was written up in the LA Times, I have been planning to come to Juliet, a French restaurant in Culver City. I was hoping to make it for breakfast (to have Crepes Suzette), but only got there at lunch time. No regrets, you walk into an open restaurant with both elegantly applied indoor and outdoor seating, that gives you the side walk cafe vibe. Service is prompt and informative. We ordered the Omelette Classique (soft centered omelette, market greens, vinaigrette) and the Tartine de Petite Poi's (English pea toast, ricotta, mint, Parmesan). Both dishes arrived together with delicate and eye catching presentations. The omelette was luke warm and could have done better with more heat, taking away the "made right now" texture on the palate. The greens were fresh with a not too acidic dressing. The piece de resistance of the afternoon was the Tartine. The sourdough toast was spread with ricotta and peas, then topped with small snap peas cut on the bias, followed by pea tendrils, then topped with purple radish discs sprinkled with Parmesan. The texture, the bite, the fresh, wholesome, mild, but distinct flavor provided the optimum mouth feel for this dish. Although this destination is located on an un crowded street, and the minimal eatery sign can be easily missed, where is the parking? There was a valet ($20 for the first 4 hours, later I was told that it would be validated so that you pay only $15 - still too steep). I immediately reversed out and went round the corner to a garage ($2 for the first hour). I had previously called the restaurant several times, to inquire about parking, but nobody would pick up (and the restaurant hardly had any people). Why do restaurants think they can get away with this lack of empathy and bad customer service? Finally, when you receive the check, they give you a merchandise card (see my picture). If you think the restaurant is pricey, look at the merch prices. Will you pay $130 for a sweat shirt and $45 for a hat, to freely advertise a restaurant that is about 6 months old and barely known? We heard this place just opened, so we went to check it out for brunch. The menu is distinctly French with a nice variety of dishes that each come as they are. No complicated list of proteins, carbs and side dishes to accessorize the meal with. I picked the Tartine Champignions and my companion the Omelette Classique. Our waiter took time to explain the dishes and emphasized they're prepared the French way with runny eggs. The presentation was beautiful, and the food was very delicious. I've lived a year and a half in Paris, and I really appreciated the effort put into the menu, and the cooking. I finished the meal with an espresso that also reminded me of my daily breakfast ritual in Paris. I'm excited to come back and try their dinner menu. This was a disappointing experience. I made this reservation to celebrate a friend's birthday/congrats on baby! We had a 2:30pm reservation on Saturday 5/4. During our lunch no more than 7 tables were seated. We waited about 15mins for water. My friend who is 8months pregnant had to request water twice. We went through 3 different servers but were never told of the changes so we never knew who we should be waiting for. Service was extremely slow, not sure if staff was very low or what. We had to request the complimentary bread and butter. Maybe our first server was new. We were seated near the restrooms near a larger party. She came up to check on that table and began to walk away. I had to politely call her over so that we could order. I asked the food runner if they could check to see if a certain wine was available because he was the only person near our table for a while, so just tried to seize the moment. He said he would check. 10mins later he is cleaning a table near and I ask if the wine is available and he had never asked lol. But thankfully he got our server to come and give me the wine list! I think that was the last time we saw her. We then had a male server that brought us a check when we hadn't even been offered dessert. We have a chair full of gifts and my reservation noted a birthday but they wanted us out of there. I asked if we could stay and see a dessert menu. Then we had a third server come for our dessert I think her name was Hannah. She was sweet and added a candle to the dessert which was a nice touch. But then we lost her after that. I had to get up and ask her for water and the check. Overall it is a pretty place, the food was good but service was extremely poor. We wanted to order more drinks and hang but every request took so long it was really bizarre. This is the third time I have been to Juliet, and each time it gets better. The vibes are immaculate, the staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious. Food prices are in line with a restaurant of this quality in a major city, and the wine list is incredibly well priced. Bottles are mostly 2x retail which is a far cry from the outrageous 3-4x most restaurants are charging these days. They also have an extensive by the glass list that you can get 1oz tasters of if you're feeling like trying a few things. I would suggest the endive salad, risotto, half chicken (seriously, best chicken I have ever had), and any of the crudo / raw fish dishes. We plan on being regulars here for a long time. read more
