This restaurant offers one of the most unique dining experiences I've had. The movie theater concept creates an incredible ambiance that feels both upscale and fun, making it perfect for a date night or special occasion. The shareable plates encourage everyone at the table to try a little bit of everything, which added to the experience. The food was good, definitely want to go back to try the truffle mac n cheese :)

20$ for parking was eh, at least they let me park my own car and keep the key. Food was fantastic! The Godfather drink for 50$ was a bit much for someone to torch orange on tableside. Twin lobster tail was good for price 7/10, my friend ordered pork something it was really really good 9/10, sweet potatoes 10/10. Paul our server was 10/10 very kind of him to print one more birthday card for my friend! He was just an energy and took the place a whole another level. I love how he was so genuine about his work. The atmosphere inside, on the patio and the restroom is content-worthy opportunities! The food was delicious and top tier! Brussels sprouts a must! The mac and cheese, yummy and the sweet potato w/ marshmallows...will have you wishing it was Thanksgiving! I loved every moment and the playlist was top notch and fiya!!

Looks can be deceiving and do not judge a book by its cover, this is a definition of Juliet's Steakhouse. The entrance area is quirky and you can actually purchase movie treats at the hostess stand. Oh, if you are scared of mannequins do not look to the right when you enter! I was shocked the table appetizer was a bowl of popcorn, but wait there's more, the popcorn flavors rotate so this month was a jalapeño cheese blend and not just the ordinary sprinkle on. The flavor was infused in the popcorn and it had some heat. The meals consisted of salads with bacon-fig dressing, Steak, broccolini complemented by mashed sweet potatoes and Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownie. The broccolini could have been steamed a bit longer and a bit more flavoring added, but that is just my preference. The servers, busser, bartender all moved in a coordinated symphony where none of the dining patrons seem like they had to wait too long. The servers are very attentive to the slightest request. Juliet's Steakhouse offers various themed nights at different price points so whether you have a taste for Surf & Turf on Tuesdays for $55/Tomahawk Steak Tuesdays $125, Steak night on Wednesday's for $39.95, Live Music Thursdays for $49.95 or Girl Dinner on Sundays for $25 Juliet's have something for everyone. I had dined here both but attended a special event. This time I was on the patio area which seems to be a new area they are developing. It was an overall a nice space but definitely can use a few more places to seat besides high tops. The food is still excellent and the drinks for the event were much better than the ones on the menu. Staff was amazing! But of course the parking... the parking lot is not own by the same person that owns the building so most of the time the majority of the parking is reserve for valet (which is $10) and street parking is not available.

We came for the hype and left knowing we won't be back. My girls and I decided to finally try Juliet's "Girl Dinner" since we've been seeing it all over social media. Unfortunately, this experience confirmed it'll be our first and last visit. Let's start with parking: There is no self-parking option -- valet is mandatory and costs $20. Even worse, they had us park our own cars, yet still charged full valet price. Half our group had their cars moved for them, the other half did it ourselves. And when it was time to leave, no one retrieved our cars. We had to walk back over to where we originally parked. The restaurant is gorgeous -- the ambiance makes you think you're about to have a luxury dining experience. But once you get past the aesthetics, it feels like they're squeezing every dollar possible out of you. * One of my friends was charged an extra $1 for ice in her already $29 cocktail -- just to get the proper whiskey ice cube. * The $25 Girl Dinner is very misleading. If you don't want the raw oysters, you pay an extra $5 for a tiny handful of sweet chili fried shrimp. * Portions were laughable: two bites of salad, a few forkfuls of Cajun pasta with one shrimp on top, and the included cocktail came in a noticeably smaller glass than their regular drinks. Before my food even arrived, I had to speak with the manager because I ordered a pear sidecar listed as $18. I simply asked for a peach version instead (assuming same price)... only to find out it rang up as $33. No one notified me of the upcharge until I saw the bill. Thankfully, the manager corrected it. To be fair: We were celebrating birthdays and they did bring out custom birthday menus and complimentary cakes with sparklers -- honestly, that was the highlight of the night. Final Verdict: If you're looking for a cute place just to take pictures, Juliet delivers on aesthetics. But if you care about food quality, portion size, transparency, or getting your money's worth... this ain't it!

Juliet got on my radar after I saw their participation in Houston Restaurant Weeks, so I was excited when my family surprised me with a pre-birthday dinner there. The atmosphere lived up to the Instagram hype--especially the chic, elevated movie theater entrance. What really made the night, though, was the incredible service. Our waiter was so genuinely friendly and catered to each person at our table with such care. At that point, the food almost didn't matter--almost. I started with the crab cakes (3/5). They were a bit small and leaned more bready than crabby. For my entree, I went with the twin lobster tails (4/5). I chose the fried version, which was tasty but didn't quite give me that classic lobster decadence I was craving. If I could do it again, I'd go with the roasted option and lemon beurre blanc. That said, the fried version totally redeemed itself the next day--especially paired with the Chesapeake Bay aioli. PSA: leftovers were elite. We even took pics in the bathroom (per our waiter's recommendation!) and genuinely had such a lovely time. The service truly elevated the whole experience

One of those trendy "hidden/not really hidden" cocktail/restaurant. The space looks like a classic movie theater when you first walk in, with a lobby full of concessions and vintage-style decor, then it opens up into the main bar and restaurant area. We came here for a networking event on a relative slow Thursday night and was treated well to some tastings of appetizers and good service throughout the night. We also saw a few other groups hosting catering events at the same time and food was constantly flowing back to the dining areas.. They have a decent cocktail selection. There also seemed to be some gambling going on in a separate room, not sure what was going on back there. There was a saxophone player playing on and off, mixed in with random pop and country music that provided more liveliness. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated, great lighting, velvet curtains.. The bathroom area definitely stood out, with an elegant rose wall and designated photo station. Parking was frustrating and honestly sketchy here.. The lot is shared with several other businesses, and they pretty much all do valet. While there were plenty of open spots, there were guys hanging around asking for money. One asked for $20 for valet, another for $5.. even after we parked the car ourselves. That kind of parking hustle really rubs me the wrong way.. just gives out greediness. Overall, it's a bit on the bougie side but has great aesthetics. Worth checking out once.

They are known for their steak (NOT halal) but we tried their seafood and vegetarian dishes. I enjoyed the crispy thai chili shrimp and broccolini a lot but probably wouldnt go out of my way for this place if I wanted some American food. The vibes were cool tho.

First visit was on Valentine's Day so there was a set menu as opposed to their standard menu and the restaurant was very very busy. My filet was flavorful & tender & cooked just right. Husband said his lamb shank was also cooked perfectly. The beet salad was good. They served it split for 2 per our request. Service was fine. It was super busy due to the holiday. I would like to try them again when I can order from their regular menu. Parking is primarily valet because the parking lot is shared with a few other restaurants. Honestly, parking was pretty confusing & chaotic. It was a struggle to even reach the Juliet valet workers. Also, I can't recall the valet cost but it was much higher than I would have expected. The decor inside was cool with different movie posters on the wall. Also the r&b/jazz background music was enjoyable. I'll update my review after have a return visit on a regular night to see if things are a little less hectic.

My wife and I made reservations for our 32 Anniversary. Our server, Hailee did an exceptional job! Please ask for her when you get here. We will be back.

This place absolutely works for me, loved the old movie theater theme. They actually have popcorn available at the host stand. The server gave us an overview of the different rooms and the story behind the restaurant's ambiance. Our dining space was relatively small and very loud when full. The food overall was very good and of course I had a steak at a steakhouse. Juliet had a set menu because of Valentine's Day but the three course options were excellent choices with something for everyone. My filet was a great quality cut which was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Their specialty cocktails were well made and the wine options were numerous. I look for to my next visit and checking out the full menu in a more relaxing environment. Again, my experience happened on Valentine's Day so the restaurant was very crowded and parking was a nightmare. It wasn't clear how to get in line for the valet.

Juliet had been on my list for a while. While not a true speakeasy, it has speakeasy elements which is always a plus in my book. Located in the Galleria area off of Westheimer, they share a parking lot with several other businesses including Chama Gaucha, a Thai massage parlor, and Cafe Europe. A lot of the parking lot is valet only, which is annoying, but I found an open spot on a Sunday evening. Ambiance (5/5): This is where Juliet shines. It looks like a movie theater from the outside with the classic movie marquee look. The fun continues inside in the first room, where you ask for a table, resembles the lobby of a movie theater with popcorn, candy, and other concessions. From there, they take you to the dining rooms where classic movie posters (e.g. The Godfather, Forrest Gum) adorn the walls. The restaurant is larger than I expected. We sat at the bar. Service (4.5/5): While the restaurant wasn't busy, the bartender took good care of us. He started us off with some complimentary seasoned popcorn (a nice touch) and checked in on us regularly. He also gave us a tour of the restaurant. Food (N/A): We were planning to have dinner afterward so we only had drinks at Juliet. Drinks (4/5): They have an interesting cocktail menu. I went with the carnival margarita which uses cachaca (a Brazilian liqueur). One that you don't find in Houston often so it was a nice treat. A bit pricey for a cocktail but it was done well. Like the drinks, I have heard that the food is overpriced but I didn't try it firsthand to comment. With that being said, I appreciate the unique dining experience it offers.

Had the pleasure of going to Juliet and this place is now one of my favorite restaurants. First arriving to Juliet, it is definitely set up like a old fashion theater. Just Fyi,Parking suck because you will have to pay ,only thing I did not like. Walking into the restaurant the lobby is set like the concession stand at a movie theater. The host was very nice. Made my way throughout the doors and the place definitely gives "date night" . One part of the restaurant has beautiful natural lighting but the other side is low lit lighting with candles lit on each table. As I was seated on the lower light side ,the decor of the black and white pictures of actors against the wall just complemented the beauty of this place even more. As I was seated I was given some delicious popcorn as a starter until my server came. The popcorn was so tasty, it was cheese with a hint of Jalapeños spices. My server was Paul, and he was beyond amazing (ask for him) . Paul made sure me and my guest was great the entire time . When we had questions about the menu ,he was so knowledgeable about each dish and drink on the menu without even looking at it. He also gave a brief overview/tour of the restaurant. Regarding the food, we ordered mac n cheese, crab cakes,Crispy Thai Chile Shrimp, Broccolini and the prime ribeye (22 oz) . The steak ordered was medium well, and baby it was so juicey, good, and tender. The steak me and my date shared. Crazy thing is before we ordered the steak we asked Paul was it enough to share and he agreed. When the food came out, Paul took our steak divided for us , placed it on our plates along with our sides we ordered ( beyond amazing service) . Now back to the steak, that steak was soo good and flavorful. Even warming it the next day ,it was still delicious. The crab cakes , was everything! The crab meat was thick and seasoned so well. The shrimp was sweet with a little kick to it, I recommend these as well. The Broccolini was fresh and delicious but that mac n cheese almost made me slap my date just on how delicious it was lol. This spot, the service and everything besides having to valet park , has been amazing. Imade a reservation for 2 at 6:30 on a Saturday for my Birthday. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. Our Waiter Paul came over and started explaining the menu, but not all at once he described his specialty cocktails I ended up with the smoking Old-Fashioned, fantastic, she had a glass of wine, as a starter we had the pork-belly, mm mm good, for sides we had carrots and white cheddar mac & cheese with bacon, truffle, and lobster. delicious. for our entrees I had the strip, and she had the filet, cooked to med rare perfection. for dessert we had the sphere and the smores. They charge $20 to valet and I said no then the said $10. The restaurant next door with the same parking lot has complimentary valet. We were able to sit at the bar without a reservation . It was HRW and they had a 3 course menu for $50. Drinks are $17-$20 and they charge auto frat 20% so all in I spent just over $100 just for myself . The app I got was the crispy shrimp and it was a hefty portion and tasty. Filet was a bit dry but sides were good. Dessert was yummy. Bartender had pretty good service. The flower wall is... in the bathroom. Very weird. All and all the food was pretty good but at the tbd of the day it's a gimmick and they try to overcharge where they can which ends up cheapening the experience. read more

Only reason they don't get 5 stars is the forced valet! We went on a Monday night for my friends birthday around 7pm, the entire parking lot is coned off and it costs $10. There's absolutely no one here and being forced to pay for parking was not cool. At the end of the night the entire restaurant was leaving at once basically and the valet is running for cars that are all parked in the door. I just asked for my key and left because what is the point? On busy nights I get it! Besides all that, The food was amazing, we had a great server that took awesome care of us. It was a very quiet night, not many people and the background music was really good! read more

Our server Alex was great extremely personable and attentive. Absolutely a great guy and even better server. The ambiance of the restaurant was on point up to date music and scenario was extremely enjoyable. This was the best steak I've had in a long time, and my husband LOVES steak, so we go often. The drinks and complimentary shot were fantastic. The booth and music and picture perfect bathroom wall was great. Our waiter was so attentive, we never went without. I think they could've played more on the whole old theater vibe, but the amount of cameras and flash from the videos being recorded for insta, it must've been enough. read more

I went to Juliet for the first time over the weekend. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was the offensive music being played. Unedited hip hop was being played throughout. I couldn't believe it. I made mention of it to the person that checked us in and he made no comments. I love hip hop, but I don't want to hear it when I'm at a restaurant to eat. Once we entered the dining room, we were hit in the face by the pungent smell of sewage. It was overwhelming. I thought this place was known for brunch but the menu was very underwhelming. I'd rather buy cheap beer, & drink it in a McDonald's parking lot.. that would be a better experience than Juliet. The "instagram video" is what brings in people no doubt. The entrance is great, "walking into an old theater" then you get passed the theater doors & it's basically a night club, not a speakeasy. It's pitch black dark, way too loud, drinks are horrible... and they're prices are insane, especially for the taste. It was horrible. Not to mention they tack on gratuity, even if it's just 2 people sitting up at the OPEN BAR.... $48 for two drinks plus their gratuity. And you have to pay $20 to valet. $68 dollars to be at this trashy place for less than 30 mins, not cool. read more

It was a great experience to enjoy Easter Brunch at Juliet. Was a little skeptical as far when it came to the location but the inside of it was actually pretty cool when you walked in. Especially the floral wall close to the bathroom. Our server was very attentive and on top of his "A" game. The food was absolutely delicious except the mashed potato/grits. The red velvet waffle, salmon, and filet were absolutely on spot when it came to flavor. read more

Checked them out for HRW. The menu offered some great items for 55$. We had a reservation, but was seated until about 40 mins later. Place was packed on a Saturday night. Valet parking 20$ and pretty much the only option. Live dj on this night, but I found the volume too loud. Overall our server was great and very attentive. I will definitely return to check out their weekly happy hour menu. read more

I love Juliet! Walking into the restaurant you don't expect the movie theater to turn into a full glam restaurant! The atmosphere is upscale for sure! Very beautiful place. The service was excellent! Our server was so kind! He made excellent recommendations and made sure we had what we needed! The food was good! We came for brunch and our only complaint was that there weren't enough suggestions. Now the bathroom!!! I have to tell you that's one part of this spot YOU CANT MISS! They have turned their bathroom into a wonderful little selfie / Photo Booth! I went on Sunday 9/14 and tried the girl dinner special and it was mid. I was disappointed by my experience ! I paid 20 dollar and had to valet cause it was no parking in the parking lot. I then had a reservation for 8 to get there and they tell me I'll have to wait for my table EVEN THOUGH I MADE A RESERVATION so I needed up having to sit at the bar ! Now paying to park That was expected but then My food was cold and sloppily plated. And it didn't come with the oysters like they advertised , instead I was given a peice of shrimp cut into five pieces with a sweet sauce and they didn't even let me know before bringing it out. I spent 50 (as I ordered a glass of champagne) and left hungry and could barely get my car because it was so much ruckus in the parking lot due to a YouTuber showing up and trying to stream! I believe my food was old. Another girl came and got the special and her food was hot and was plated more neatly so idk if it was just my order or what. It was a 3/10 experience ! I was disappointed cause I was so excited to try them all for the first time. But I don't think I'll be back! FOOD IS MID AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY THEY GIVE! read more

I will be doing zero stars on this review. I will not be coming back Not ONE star will be here for sanity I'm tired of this restaurant. So as my namesake, and a spot I've been seeing on my social media feed, the hubs and I had to come get a closer look. Hubs and I came by for a pregame around 5PM, so thankfully, there was no need for valet. (I heard it's $20, and in my opinion that's just insane-- but I digress.) I'm smitten with the name (obviously), speakeasy(ish) concept, and decor. Hubs loved "the Juliet" on the cocktail menu (the presentation was nice), and I opted for a glass of bubbles. The music and vibe was cool for a lively date. Now as for the food, I was quite underwhelmed. The flavors were lackluster. My scallop and truffle gnocchi was ok, Thai shrimp, and the truffle steak fries-- all, again, just ok. Sadly, I was so happy that we didn't plan to stay for our main courses. Now, don't get me wrong, I could absolutely return as a pregame, or to cozy up to the bar for after dinner solely for the drinks, music, and to catch a vibe. All in all, I wanted to love her, and maybe time will tell. For now, we can only be associates. read more

I had a wonder time time here for my moms birthday. The host, Alex, was probably one of the best waiters we have ever had! He was extremely knowledgeable about everything and gave suggestions frequently. He was also extremely accommodating and fast from staff to finish. The food was great as well. Please do yourself the favor and get the rib eye and honey truffle chicken! The sides we got were potatoes and garlic broccolini and they were so so good. The firecracker shrimp was tasty also!! We did get the blackened shrimp rice that was not good so just heads up with that. The restaurant is beautiful, there is so much to look at and the music is amazing' it wasn't so loud to where we couldn't hold a conversation so that was a big plus. read more

Checked out this new Houston hotspot on a Saturday evening for dinner! I surprisingly found a same-day reservation for two! Let's get into the details: Parking: seems to be valet only. I didn't explore to see if there were other options but valet was $10 for regular or $20 VIP. I opted for regular, figured I'm going to eat dinner and not to a nightclub. The restaurant has a movie theater theme! It's almost like you're going to a show and I think it's makes you excited for your dining experience. Upon entering, you smell popcorn and it's a true movie concession stand with candy and of course--popcorn. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant and iconic scenes from popular 90's movies line the wall. Dim lighting. Tables were a little tight for my liking but not too crazy. Dante was our server and he was awesome. The pear sidecar was delicious--I ordered two. The spinach salad was also tasty and it's a nice portion to split between two people. We ordered the red snapper and scallop and black truffle gnocchi. Delicious! Food was spectacular. Nice portions, not too big or too small. Upon exiting, we got popcorn and some of the old school candy. That was $10 for a small box of popcorn and candy. I took a star off for the price of the candy and the valet. I enjoyed my meal, price wise it's comparable with well known steak houses, with that being said, I think the price of the valet could be lower and the popcorn complimentary. All in all, the food is great! The music is hip but not overbearing, and service awesome. read more

I visited this place last night for a late Valentines dinner after seeing it on Instagram. This place is so cute! Its a hidden restaurant/bar made to look like a movie theater. I seriously loved this concept and its even cooler when you are there in person! I am not sure if reservations are needed, but we made a reservation and we were seated right away. To start off we ordered the Rose Fizz and Pear Sidecar. The Rose Fizz was so cute but I did not enjoy it :( The drink was 50% foam which I probably should have known had I read the description (my fault!) and it was too sweet for my taste. It literally tasted like cotton candy if you were to drink it. However, the Pear Sidecar was AMAZING!! Probably one of the best cocktails I've ever had. And also so cute! Presentation for both drinks were 10/10. We ended up having a few of those Pear Sidecars throughout the night and I can confirm they are boooooozy! For food we started off with the honey garlic pork belly. The reason why this review isn't 5 stars is because of this dish. It was a huge portion which we loved but it had absolutely no taste. It was also very rubbery and hard to chew. I'm assuming it was just overcooked. For our entrees we both ordered steak and shared a side of mashed potatoes and truffle mac and cheese. When I tell you they really redeemed themselves with these dishes!!! The steaks were amazing, juicy, and cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were also so so creamy and just overall great. But the star of the night for me was definitely the truffle mac and cheese. If you visit this place... YOU NEED TO TRY IT! It was nothing short of delicious! The portions here are pretty big so we did not have room for dessert but that just means I have to come back to try some! Service here was great from the moment we walked in. Our waitress had a great attitude, was fast, and did not let us see an empty glass all night. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by the "vibes" of this place. They play good current music loud enough to give off a bar feel yet the food is fine dining. I am not sure if they have a dress code but everyone inside was very well dressed, including the staff. I made a reservation for a party of 3 for February 6th @845pm that monday or tuesday i'm not sure but I made it early that week to ensure i'd have a table. We get there 5 minutes late due to trying to get valet parking outside but I called the restaurant to tell them we have arrived just trying to get parked and the said no problem we will check you in and notify when table is ready. Once we walk in I told them my reservation time and who I was and they let me know that they were waiting for party's to get up for us to be seated and if we wanted to wait at bar then we could. Me and my friends grabbed a drink at the bar, bartender just put menus in our faces no introduction and seemed like she either didn't want to work there or didn't want to serve us. Other than that drinks were great. We saw other people come in after us to wait at the bar as well to get a table ( i'm not sure if they had reservations or not) but three or four tables were cleared and the party's that came in after us got seated first after we had been waiting longer than they have. There was one booth left open so I asked a host when would we be seated next and she said " we're just waiting for a red booth to open then we will seat you " and I asked and pointed to the one that was clearly open and ready and she said they were waiting for another party. It was a big group and we're only 3 people so i was like okay maybe they need it for a bigger party. A group of three people came and sat at the bar waiting for a table as well mind you we got there 8:50pm now it's already 9:40 at this point and that party of 3 got sat BEFORE us and we'd been waiting for basically an hour. I went up to hostess and asked to be sat that the high top table that was being cleaned cause I didn't care were we sat. Finally got sat ONE HOUR before they close. Server was great food was good. I just think what's the point of making a reservation if it's not going to be honored ? read more

If I could give a 6th star I would! This was ABSOLUTELY, hands down the best dining experience I have ever had! Gregory was our waiter and he is out of this world. His presentation is an impeccable performance. He anticipated our needs at every turn. This is the type of guest service EVERYONE should receive. Then we come to the food, Decadent and DELICIOUS. I highly recommend the strawberry lemon drop and the sweet fire chili shrimp. Surprisingly, the Cesar salad & Korean tacos weee filling enough for a meal. Okay - idk where to start! Juliet made my whole Houston trip. From the service, to the food, to the ambiance - OMG I will be going here every time I came to Houston. Make a reservation if possible, but if not get there early. We sat at the bar and let me just say Darion is amazing. The best bartender in life. He was sooo kind, made food recommendations, gave us laughs, and made out time there so much fun. He is the main reason I will be going back. I had the Caesar salad back and chicken fire . This speakeasy restaurant in Houston Texas. The movie theater aesthetic and music was on point and the food was absolutely amazing! We did the lamb chop, asparagus, steak, Mac and cheese, lobster and mash potatoes and everyone enjoyed their meals! The only downfall was the service once our food arrived we didn't see our server again. We wanted more drinks but by the time we tracked him down the busser had already boxed up our food. Also, we were added and additional tip by the server even-though gratuity is already included which we were all perfecting fine with but he stated the POS did it on its own which the manager confirmed we would have had to pick that option but he didn't hand the POS system to any of us. The red flags was he didn't give me a receipt to sign or hand the the POS to pick a email or text! If this wouldn't have happened they would have record a 5 stars from me. I do appreciate the manager fixing this for all of us at the table. read more

The drinks were amazing and so were all the opportunities to take esthetically pleasing pictures. The food was pretty good, a little pricy for what was served. As far as steak houses go, it wasn't the best but then again this is Houston so to be the best steak house really takes something special. Our waiter was really good which definitely helped because when we first arrived the hostess tried to sit us right in the path of the front door. I did have a reservation so I felt we could have been offered a better table. read more

Juliet is a fine dining restaurant located in the Westheimer area with a movie theater theme. There's a red carpet and concession stand area soon as you walk in. We were unable to be seated until like full party arrived so we hung out at the bar. I was originally going for the margarita but it had a butterscotch flavor so I went with the strawberry lemon drop which was delicious. Once seated at our table, we were provided with popcorn while we waited to order. We each decided to grab sides and apps instead of the traditional entree and everything was pretty good. Went around Aug for restaurants week. Our server was very patient in making sure we heard all his recommendations as well as answered our questions. The drink that he recommended was delish and the fish I had was amazing. It is pretty dark in the location that we were seated so please be aware it's more of a date night atmosphere. The famous wall of flowers is by the bathroom so when going to the bathroom it can get packed. Bathrooms were clean and modern. The area you wait when you first get there is very small so if you are waiting on your party and it's quite a lot of you all it will be cramped. read more

I haven't been able to stop thinking about how perfectly cooked my filet mignon was prepared and the mashed potatoes. In addition the crab cakes were excellent. This was my first time traveling to Houston and when my friends and I left this restaurant all of our expectations were EXCEEDED! The service was 10/10 our waitress Jalissa was phenomenal, she really went above and beyond! She took her time to explain the whole menu and make recommendations since we were first timers! The food was exceptional, the lamb chops and crab cakes are some of the best I've had in a longgggg time! The ambience was so well decorated, the music wasn't too loud, very ascetically pleasing! While delays happen and I was willing to overlook that, the experience only went downhill from there. We ordered Palomas to kick off our Friday night. The drinks took quite a while to arrive, and when they did, they were noticeably watered down. I politely mentioned it to our server, who quickly took them back and brought replacements, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second round was nearly identical to the first. When I brought it up again, instead of acknowledging the feedback, the server responded by saying it was "just not a sugary drink." That completely missed the point. I wasn't expecting a sweet cocktail--I was pointing out that the drinks tasted diluted and poorly made. What bothered me most wasn't the drinks themselves, but how the feedback was handled. I wasn't looking for free drinks or trying to be difficult. I was simply offering honest feedback, and it felt like my opinion was being dismissed rather than heard. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the experience. We ordered several dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and most were overwhelmingly salty. The salt overpowered any other flavors to the point that we couldn't finish some of the dishes. The sushi was the best thing we had, but even that lacked the presentation and quality I would expect at this price point. To be fair, the manager did remove the drinks from our bill as a courtesy, and I appreciate that gesture. However, by that point the damage had already been done. A resolution is only effective when guests feel heard and respected throughout the process. Instead, I felt like I had to defend my opinion and justify my feedback before anyone took it seriously. At the end of the day, a restaurant can be trendy, crowded, and beautifully designed, but none of that matters if the food and service don't deliver. Balboa Surf Club has the atmosphere and location, but in my experience it falls short where it matters most. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it because I had always been curious, but now I know I won't be back and cannot recommend it. If you're looking for a similar concept, I'd recommend Hudson House. The atmosphere is comparable, but the drinks are consistently well-made, the food is much better, and the service has always been far superior.

Let's talk about spending Christmas Day at Juliet's Steakhouse, where the venue channels old Hollywood glamour and the Caesar salad surprisingly steals more scenes than the filet mignon (and that's saying something!). While most restaurants were doing their best impression of a silent night, Juliet's brave staff was decking the halls and serving up holiday cheer. For $75 per adult and $50 per kid, you get to feast in what feels like a vintage movie theater - minus the sticky floors, thank goodness. The star of the show? A filet mignon that's more tender than your grandma's holiday hugs. The pumpkin pie had me wondering if they'd kidnapped the Pumpkin King's personal chef, and somehow they managed to make Caesar salad exciting (which is about as easy as making brussels sprouts trendy). Sure, the buffet selection was more "curated" than "abundant" - think quality over quantity, like your rich aunt's Christmas gift-giving philosophy. But hey, they were cooking on Christmas Day while the rest of us were still in our pajamas arguing about whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Now, about that valet situation... It's more mysterious than what's actually in fruitcake. Is it $10? Is it free? Is it connected to the restaurant? The staff seemed to be playing an improv game where everyone had different information. Pro tip: just bring a ten-spot and consider it your Christmas gift to the valet who's also working on Santa's big day. Despite having fewer options than your nephew's Christmas list, Juliet's serves up quality dishes with a side of excellent service. I just received some news about my sister's 13th anniversary dinner. It was not good. First let me say that I celebrate Black excellence at all times so when I heard about this Black owned restaurant on Westhiemer Blvd, I was elated because I have not seen nor heard of this before. The party received the tab and it was ticketed as one bill instead of separated. When my brother in law asked why was this so, the waitress took his questioning as aggressive, believe me, it was not. Feeling threatened, she went to the manager and this young " brother" came to speak with brother in law and things got heated. The young manager went on an unprofessional rant and threatened to call the police as he instructed my sister and her party to exit out the back, not the front, door. THE BACK DOOR! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is 2022 not 1962! Needless to say, his request was not honored. The bill was paid and they exited through the front door! The unprofessionalism of this young manager has deterred me from patronizIng this beautiful establishment that has great tasting food, according to the assaulted. I recently dined at Juliet Steakhouse and had a mixed experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the perfectly cooked ribeye steak. We also enjoyed the oysters on half shell, buffalo cauliflower, and the sides of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots. The flavors were on point and everything was cooked to perfection. However, one aspect of the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite the parking lot being empty, the restaurant had mandatory valet service, which is typical of black-owned restaurants in Houston. This can be frustrating as it adds an unnecessary inconvenience. Additionally, what bothered me even more was the fact that the manager made multiple rounds to check on every table in our section of the dining room except ours. It was disheartening to feel overlooked, especially as we were the only African Americans in the section. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon in some black-owned establishments, where owners assume that black customers will automatically support them and therefore don't put in the same effort. As a result of this experience, my husband and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. We believe that our hard-earned money should be spent where we feel valued and appreciated. read more

Everything was great until the server handed me a tablet that asked for gratuity and I added 25% and then realized gratuity was already added. So we double tipped him . Then when valet brought our car up to my 74yr old grandmother they told us they busted her back window out and don't apologize and told us they would pay for it and to take it to anywhere where we live and they'll fix it. Now he wants her to drive all the way up from Beaumont to Houston to go to his shop and only give us $250 to fix it when it's costing almost $600. He won't give us his insurance information which they required to have and Juliet is the company that hired that valet service and ruined our Thanksgiving dinner.
