I've actually been to Juliet on two different occasions. The first was a cousin dinner during Houston restaurant week. The second time was to try out there a happy hour recently. I'd like to state that both times that I visited the restaurant there was a sewer like smell. My sister asked about it the first time and they said that they were having issues with plumbing mind you, the second visit was almost 2 months after that, and it smelled exactly the same. Let's get to the food and the service. They start everyone off with their house made popcorn, which has a nice little jalapeño flavor to it. I can't remember the waiters name from the first time, but he was really good and the second time we had Jackie as our bartender/waiter who was also great very attentive. First visit I had the HRW filet mignon the steak was cooked medium to perfection loved the sides that they paired with it. You can't go wrong with a vegetable and mashed potatoes. I also had the Thai chili shrimp as my appetizer which was amazing. I ordered one of their infamous lemon drops. Both visits I got the same drink. I tried the strawberry and regular lemon drop. They do add glitter to it, which is a nice touch aesthetic wise. For my dessert, I ordered the butter cake, which was pretty good and topped with ice cream. During my happy hour visit, we tried the fries which are wedge style not the biggest fan of those types of fries. Of course I ordered the Thai chili shrimp again, which didn't disappoint. This time I tried the chicken tacos that are offered on the happy hour menu. They weren't my favorite but again this is a steakhouse so I probably shouldn't have ordered tacos lol the flavor just wasn't there. My friend ordered the sliders there were no complaints with those. I definitely recommend going during happy hour as the martinis are usually $20 versus their happy hour price which is half off for the same size drink. I'd also like to add that the martinis are pretty small compared to other restaurants. Some important information to know before you go is that you do have to pay for valet, which is $10 for regular parking and 20 for VIP. When I came for a happy hour no one else was there and I parked myself 10 minutes later the attendant came up to my car and told me I had to pay and of course I had questions on why. Apparently you can't park anywhere in that parking lot without paying allegedly but there is a building lateral to the restaurant where I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay but the guy was trying to tell me you do. read more

Wifey brought me here for my birthday. The greeting and seating went very smoothly. Our waiter was excellent going over the menu and introducing us to spot. We started with drinks, margaritas, which were hitting. My wife had crab cakes and I had the short rib tacos to start. We really enjoyed those. The meat in the taco was well seasoned and the crispy taco is a smart conduit for those flavors. I got the NY strip to eat with brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. The only complaint if you can call it that is the mac had penne noodles instead of elbows. And I know I'm one of the small percentage of people who would even notice this. It was still banging. Two months ago, in October, I called Juliet's to schedule a reservation for December 14th to celebrate Friendsmas with 14 of my friends. I paid the deposit, coordinated a menu with the event coordinator, signed the contract, even purchased pre-made menus, all to ensure we had an amazing Friendsmas brunch. To my absolute shock, I received an email after 8 p.m. on December 10th, just four days before my event stating that my reservation was canceled because they made changes to their facility and would no longer be offering brunch on Sundays. The only alternative they offered was "priority seating," which completely disregarded the months of planning that had already gone into this event. I called multiple times on December 11th and never received an answer. I sent several emails with no response. The only communication I eventually received was a brief message stating that my refund had been processed. This experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. After investing time, money, and trust into their establishment, to be dismissed so abruptly and so close to my event date was unacceptable. We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and I will definitely be going there more often. Starting from the second we were welcomed by the host, greeted by the server Paul ( amazing guy) , recommendations for the drinks, appetizers and the main coarse everything was A+. Went here for a friends birthday dinner. The outside movie theatre set up is definitely something I've never seen before. Once you're in it's a regular modern restaurant. We were seated quickly, and our waiter was very courteous. We were a group of 6 with one running late. Once she arrived we ordered. They had a special steak entree for $40. The entire table ordered it. It must've been a big hit because our waiter and the Manager came over to tell us they were all sold out. To accommodate us he offered a bigger steak at the same price which was nice. The drinks were cute, I forgot the name of one but it sparkles. Even my cosmo has a bit of sparkle in it. The crispy Thai shrimp, crab cakes, and brussel sprouts were my favorites. The glitter adorned cocktails were tasty, if a bit sweet overall (at least the ones we had.) If you want to dine for the 'Gram, you can enjoy the beautiful flower wall outside the bathrooms or a complimentary selfie station (unfortunately positioned right in front of the men's stall door). Juliet is absolutely a place whose greatest value is in the overall aesthetic of the experience, but happens to have good food. That being said, I don't think I'll be back. As good as it was, and as nice a time as we had, my dining experience value is far more focused on food than aesthetic. Juliet is just not a vibe I need outside of an occasional birthday. It feels like a place where you're paying a tax for the ambiance. There are too many restaurants that are just as good if not better in Houston where you'll spend slightly less. The crowd may be older and the music not as poppin', but that's okay for me. A few specific gripes: - First and foremost, Juliet's was too expensive for what it served. Sizeable portions, yes, and some nice cuts of steak and pretty good seafood. But I don't think Juliet ranks up there with the finest surf and turf restaurants to warrant the prices. For comparison, a tomahawk is $125 at Taste of Texas, while one just slightly smaller at Juliet is $195. I'm not even going to talk about the option to add $200 in 24k gold because I guess that's just what some people are about. Entrees did not come with sides, which were all $14 each (if sizeable and easily shared). - 19% gratuity is added for ALL checks regardless of party size. While I generally tip 20% for baseline good service all the time, I'm always wary when it's required. Fortunately our server was great and deserved it plus some. - Happy hour is served only at the bar which, given we got there at 6 PM on a Friday to only three people at the bar and maybe a handful more at tables, feels really stingy. Keeping with this theme there are movie posters inside and a screen showing movies while dining. There is valet at the door for $10. The interior is nicely appointed and the seating is quite comfortable. We ordered cocktails (the old fashioned for me) and the Juliet drop which is a take on the lemon drop cocktail was enjoyed by my friends. As we dined during HRW, 3 of us chose the menu for this month, with an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $55. We tend to order and share, so this is what we enjoyed collectively: crab cakes, Thai sweet chili shrimp, red snapper with dirty rice inspired risotto, the filet with whipped potatoes and broccolini, New Zealand rack of lamb, mac and cheese shareable side with truffle and bacon, red velvet cheesecake brownie, butter cake, and the amazing snickerdoodle bread pudding. I can't say enough about how delicious the food was and to top it off the service was exceptional. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and she even offered to take our picture on their epic rose wall. Ok - so we go out a lot. I live 10 mins from this place and never heard of it. Everything was so good. We started with a vodka lemon drop and espresso martini - made perfectly. Upon entering the restaurant, it looks like an old movie theater complete with movie snacks in the display. The party had reservations and we waited almost an hour before we got seated due to another party not finishing up their dinner. We had the option to wait in the front or the bar area and we opted to wait in the front because the bar was packed to the max. The only con about this place was how close the tables were and how people walking by was so close to your food. Luckily we were seated in a more intimate setting which eliminated the people hovering over our food; however, it was still quite loud. This was our first time here so we were a little confused about the parking situation so we were trying to ask the valet where we needed to park and he was pretty rude, as if we were bothering him. The bread pudding was a show stopper! And when I told Rasheed that I don't eat sweets but was there any way I could take it home for my husband, he didn't hesitate! The exterior of the restaurant looks like an old movie theater and the lobby area is like the front of a movie theater with popcorn and candy. I loved the vibe! After we parked, I was personally impressed by the execution of the theme. Expect theatre feels as promised with moody lighting, and smart details (velvet curtains, popcorn delivered to tables). However from there, our experience was, well, lack luster: -we noticed other tables receiving complimentary popcorn...no popcorn arrived to our table. -the food was fine. We tried: ---Blue Moon cocktail ---shrimp appetizer ---red snapper blackened ---party potatoes ---baby carrots ---snickerdoodle bread pudding While our service was great, a 19% mandatory tip was added to the bill and we felt slightly pressured to tip more (which may be the norm in other cities, but not in Houston.) Also, I ordered diplomatic on the rocks and was charged $2 for it to be served "on the rocks"....in other word, I was charged $2 for an ice cube. I left feeling both satiated and nickel and dimed. I had a blueberry lemon drop for my drink which I thought was absolutely delicious, and pretty too! For my starter I got the blue crab and avocado stack which was absolutely stunning. It was melt in your mouth delicious, however I do think it should come with some kind of chips or wonton crisp for a bit more texture. For my entree I ordered the red snapper which had potential but was so salty that I had to send it back to the kitchen. A hostess looked me up and down and asked, "Don't you have heels in your car?" which felt incredibly condescending and inappropriate. It wasn't until it became clear that our large party was about to leave--and take our business elsewhere--that they suddenly decided I could be allowed in. What's even more frustrating is that I've dined here before with someone wearing flat sandals, and it was never an issue. To be clear, our waiter was fantastic and the food was excellent, as always. Came here for my sister in law's birthday. The menu had her name on it which is such a sweet touch! The restaurant itself is made to look like a speakeasy despite it being a full on restaurant. The service was very detailed and the food was for the most part very flavorful. The only thing I wouldn't recommend were the lamb chops. My wife chose this place for our anniversary dinner. It's best to have reservations to get in. It's located in the galleria area. When you arrive you will find out it is valet parking only. Either $10 or $20? The front had a facade that resembles a movie theater. Once you enter it looks like a movie lobby then you are led into the bar area where there is table seating on both sides as week as a rest area with more seating and booths. Our table had done flavored popcorn to snack on while you await your order. I ordered a New York strip and Juliet potatoes, my wife ordered lobster tails and sweet potatoes. We also ordered two drinks which they delivered first. It didn't seem like it took a long time for the food to come out and my steak was delicious. Visited Juliet's for a friend's birthday dinner. The place has a old Hollywood Wood Movie theme. When your seated, you received a complimentary side of popcorn. Our popcorn was stale. But hey, it was free. The staff were friendly and attentive. FYI,Your not allowed to bring in balloons for any celebration. If you want to bring in a cake you can. However, if you want them to cut the cake it's an additional $25. The ambiance was nice and there was a DJ. The food was too expensive for the quality. I only ordered an appetizer and drink. Which consisted of their crab cakes and strawberry lemon drop. The lemon drop was extremely sweet and the crab cakes were petite for the price. Must say at every part of the meal they came through with it!! This is one place that I can definitely say passes the vibe and taste test! When we first pulled up I honestly didn't know if it was the right location because of the movie theme that they have outside of it but because of the valet I assumed it must be right. Getting inside it has the look of a movie theater concession area which was really dope. Once you get inside the movie theme is more subtle and it's just a nice restaurant. The bathroom area has to be the biggest marker for this place because the decor right outside of the bathroom area is made to be put on Instagram and I have seen many a post on Instagram featuring the bathroom designs. They even have a photo taker machine which lets you know it is really meant to get your photoshoot on. For a table appetizer they bring out popcorn which plays well into the movie theme. I'm not a huge popcorn person so I didn't take any but I think I was told it was cool. We were out for a friend's birthday party so there were a few appetizers ordered for the table. The Brussels sprouts were ! I mean honestly they were probably one of the best things I had the entire meal, in a meal full of deliciousness. The Crispy Calamari was great as well as the Crispy Thai Chile Shrimp. I didn't have any but I heard the Crispy Korean Short Rib Tacos were good as well. I feel like half of us got the Crispy Honey Truffle Chicken and we all LOVED it!! It was such well fried chicken and the honey and truffle added the right pops of flavor to make this really stand out. The White Cheddar Mac & Cheese came through mac & cheesing like it was supposed to! I always love gnocchi in the Scallop & Black Truffle Gnocchi was amazing!! I don't like alcohol with my beverages but the waiter was able to get the bartender to make me a non-alcoholic beverage and it was pretty good. Nice ambiance. Vibe dining at its finest. Great food. Celebrity sighting(saw 50 cent). Enjoyed my Pear sidecar. I had the Crispy Thai Chile as an appetizer but the portion size is huge. You can actually have it as a meal. This was so good! My main course was the the fried Twin Tails and it did not disappoint. My side was the Asparagus and it was yummy as well. In Houston for a quick weekend and someone recommended this place.. I love the movie theme from the front door to the bathroom. I wish i can remember my server name but he was the best. The food was tasty but be prepared to spend a hefty dollar. Our bill was over $$350. But we indulged in the God father drink which was $50 bucks alone.
