You can't go wrong at this friendly, family owned restaurant. Set up like a deli counter you choose your meat choice and the toppings for whatever you like. All choices are ultra fresh because of their high volume. Sometimes the order line extends out the door, but it moves fairly fast. Burritos are good for 3 meals if you don't eat much. But lots of great choices. I get two carnitas tacos most of the time (you order them individually). Mostly people order to take out but there are some tables (more were available before Covid). Jumbo Prices, but no longer Jumbo serving sizes. This was my go-to spot for Carne Asada Fries/Burritos. But they have upped the price quite a bit and they have made the portions smaller. It used to be that when you bought Carne Asada fries from them, you could barely close the lid and you would have leftovers for the next day. Now the serving size is what you would expect from an $8 Carne Asada Fries at most taquerias on the mainland or the $10 ones at other spots on the Island. When they were $11 I could forgive the higher price because we do live on an Island where prices are higher AND you got a JUMBO serving size. Now, these are $14 and you get about half the serving size you used to. That is unless you are in the military and come in wearing your fatigues. Then they will give you the old serving size where you can barely close the lid. Look, the food is excellent. I have said before they have the quality of what would be a mid to high-end taqueria in San Diego my native city. So I know what I am talking about when I am praising their quality. The fact you can pick and choose your toppings is also a plus. The employees, most of which I believe are the family that owns the place are always so kind and quick to accommodate. They always have a smile for you. They also keep the place very clean. I understood them increasing the prices last summer due to the pandemic. They had a sign saying it would be temporary, but the price hike then became permanent. I could have forgiven that because it was less than a .50 cent hike. Now you go back and find they increased it by almost a whopping $3 from what it was before last summer. This is much higher than any place in Oak Harbor. Yet with that increase in price, we are also getting a decrease in proportion(unless you are military). Might as well go enjoy the comforts and restaurant-quality of El Cazador and not be charged as much. The other two spots in Oak Harbor were around $10 which, as I said, on the island you might expect. At $11.95 Jumbo Burrito was still about $2 more, BUT you got those JUMBO portions. Now you are looking at paying $4 more and you get about as much as you would at the other two spots. So while their prices remain Jumbo, their portions are not. This is unfortunate as it will keep me from going back. If they still had the jumbo proportions where you could barely close the lid on the carne asada fries, I might still forgive them the $14 price tag. But to charge $14 AND decrease the proportions to what you can get anywhere else not called Jumbo burrito, makes it a no-go. Carne Asada Fries, Burritos will just have to be those special occasion items when I go to Everett. Raliberto's is an excellent taqueria and their Carne Asada fries are still less than $8 and you get the same amount as you do at Jumbo for $14. Being on the island does not justify a $6 in price plus I normally feel obliged to add a 15% tip at the checkout Which adds another $1.00+ to the price. Again the food is great, the service and people are great. The price and portions for a place called Jumbo Burrito are no longer justifiable. Unless you are in the military. They will still give you jumbo proportions if you come in your fatigues. read more

This is a great place to get mexican food. The service is so fast, you can watch the employees make the food in front of you, and best of all, you get what you pay for. The plates here are HUGE! And best of all, it is SO good! The people here are friendly and get your order right. In my opinion, the mexican food in the mainland are so much better than mexican food in oahu. Very rarely will you see me give 5 star reviews for *anything*, especially for food. Jumbo Burrito in Oak Harbor is just about the best thing this place has to offer. The burritos are legitimately massive, and for a whopping $11+ per burrito, you won't be disappointed. One burrito can easily feed two full grown adults (I recommend the Cali burrito, there are French fries in it). The service is exemplary, and everyone is quick and has a smile on their face. There is one male employee that seems to genuinely enjoy his job (maybe the owners son?). Where you're looking at spending a fair amount of money, you're going to be getting just as much food and it's *quality*. I hope I find a place like this wherever we end up next, because this place is worth it. read more

Awesome food and people! So good, in fact, we've taken the long drive to Whidbey Island -- with ferries -- for lunch here on a couple of occasions. Excellent carne asada tacos and the best Cali burrito I've had north of San Diego. It's also nice to partner your meal up with cane-sugar Coke (hecho en Mexico) or horchata. I rarely feel the need to leave a negative review however this is a special occasion. I order the same thing every time I've come to Jumbo and 3 of the last 5 have been screwed up. Usually it's nothing serious and isn't worth mentioning. This time everything is going well until we get to the end and check out. Bill come to $17? Why I ask. The response is "double meat is more" but I didn't order double meat. Cashiers response was well he added double meat. So my $11 burrito is now $17 for the same product. We went here for an early dinner. There was a little bit of a line but it moved quickly. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. We split a Cali burrito and I had two tacos - a carnitas and a chili verde pork. They were generous with the amount of fillings, even the guac. Colossal meat burritos! They are so large and so filling, It takes me three days to eat one! I like that California Baby Burrito. It's smaller than their California Burrito but equally as delish.
