So yummy! I've been dying to try this place out for a while now, and I just so happened to be in…read morethe area for it. Note there's only street parking available, but there's lots of shops and stores around nearby to walk around. :) I walked in around noon, was greeted kindly by all the staff and there was already a decently sized line but the line went by super quickly. I like how there's laminated menus right as you walk in you can take over while you wait to order at the counter. I ordered their tuna salad with sweet onion dressing, as well as their mango smoothie. I am STILL thinking about the salad!!! It was so fresh, the dressing was to die for soo flavorful. The smoothie was also super refreshing to wash it all down! I can't wait to stop by once more after my monthly skincare appointments across the street, it'll bet favorite treat to look forward to

I went to Kirari West again and somehow it was even better than last time. We got the cinnamon…read morerolls and the Japanese-style custard bread and I genuinely considered canceling the rest of my day. Absolutely, unapologetically, mother-effing DIVINE. If I lived closer, this place would be a problem. A delicious, carb-scented problem. I already drive 30-40 minutes just to get my hands on these breads, and I would do it again without hesitation. Yes. Yes. And yes all day long. I need more of the Japanese custard bread bread. I am currently drooling. Please send help. Or bread. Mostly bread... with custard. The lovely taste of the bread that's not too sweet filled with custard that is also the perfect amount of sweet. The cinnamon rolls... if you are gluten-free, I would definitely run to this place. The customer service is so kind whenever I ask about any other allergies they make sure to know. The seating is a fun filled modern vibe. we made a few friends haha. I love that you can buy bread there and the bread is also delicious. See you at kirari West! Ps. Save me some pastries for me! Cheers mates!

if you eat for good reasons, such as fueling your body with wholesome items from our good earth,…read moreyou must check out Laughing Planet-Hollywood. I eat there often and today I ordered the Thai Bowl sub Chicken. sorry, photo is after I ravaged it and this is what I'm taking home for dinner later. the veggies are always crisp and fresh. the sauces are amazing, the meat, plentiful. there used to be a restaurant at the Clack Town Center called The Good Earth. I wouldn't be surprised if the people who created Laughing Planet were descendants of that place and I have no idea why they ever left. My hope is that Laughing Planet never closes. These folks are respectful of our planet and our bodies in a very tasty way. The service is always prompt and friendly. Thank you Laughing Planet. PS, if you're lucky enough to land there when they offer Pot Roast as their special, you are a happy happy eater. I promise Well I guess I can't leave a photo or log in. Seems I've been bumped again because I will not advertise with yelp. if this won't get posted I will go to many other review portals and make it known. Peace

And it introduced me to no-meat meals, which is a habit I've tried to continue over the years. Although I'm no longer nearby enough to visit often, I'm still a fan. Recently, I saw that Laughing Planet is offering SNAP meals. They are not accepting donations, and instead encouraging people to donate to the local food bank. That's a classy move.

It's fairly expensive however at the very least- the savory bowls are worth it. I wish they had a veggie heavy smoothie.

The Celery -- Portland, OR…read more Walked in and immediately felt like I should own a fixed-gear bike. Industrial. Clean lines. Slightly edgy. The kind of place where you expect someone to be editing a documentary on a laptop made of recycled aluminum. Late afternoon visit, so the hipster crowd had clearly skateboarded back to their respective creative labs. I had the place to myself. Prime auditing conditions. First impression? This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown * Taste: 4.3/5 * Ingredients: 4/5 * Consistency: 4.5/5 * Purist Pain Factor: High * Speed: 5/5 Current Status: Machine-Made But Memorable Lesson Learned: Sometimes the machine wins. Spiritual Conflict Level: Ongoing. -- The Açaí Guy
