Never had one that tasted like that. It had lemon zest on it and I think might have been made with semolina or cornmeal. It was a cross between light /fluffy and dense. Simply perfect! I must say I was completely delighted with my food. Sitting at the counter was great because you can see the food actually being prepared. My neighbors were a party of 3. They ordered several items including the pancake. They seemed to be enjoying their meals. Bathroom was single use and fairly clean. Service was great. Food was hot, delish and priced appropriately. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

However, the enchiladas de mole poblano were the best -- the reason why I hope to bring other friends back to try. The restaurant itself was a fun place to come with friends, and we could see a number of people there on a Friday night enjoying themselves. Despite it being busy, the wait staff was absolutely phenomenal; they stopped to check in on us several times, and I really felt like they truly cared about ensuring we were happy with the food and being there.

While the carbonara is what made me fall in love with Grand Canyon (perfectly creamy and non-skimping on the crunchy bits of bacon), I've also yet to find a pulled pork sandwich as good as the one Grand Canyon puts together. The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

First let me say, it isn't just cheesecake. Now, don't get me wrong: the cheesecakes are absolutely, positively amazing. This coming from someone who, as a rule, doesn't even like cheesecakes. In fact, I'm always a bit put off by cheesecakes. But these? These shouldn't even be classified as cheesecakes. They transcend. But I digress. Do you know what else is amazing about the place? Sit down for dinner. (Make it a short one -- you need room for those delectable, colossal slabs of divine cheesecakey goodness -- even if you rightly intend to share it.) Your bread basket will include... wait for it... corn bread. Tasty yummy corn bread. In Brooklyn. Seriously. And do you know what you should dive into? More cheese, indeed -- Mac n' Cheese. Also inspired. Junior's is a Brooklyn landmark, hands down. And they've stolen some heartfelt southern traits that make it quite adorable. You should go, and you should love it -- but you should keep some things in mind. Some dishes can be hit or miss -- I've never liked their chicken fingers, and I think their burgers are pretty run of the mill. I've seen a number of people really enjoy their side dishes of southern style veggies. But at the end of the day, it's going to be largely diner-style food. Go, nibble the bread basket -- have a shake or a float if you'd like. Devour the amazing mac n' cheese. Share a delicious slab of cheesecake amongst those whose germs you savor. The prices are pretty good here. There have been a lot of pricey shops popping up, and this really stands the test of time. It can initially seem a little costly for a piece of cheesecake, but they really are slabs of cake. You can (and absolutely, positively SHOULD) share them with a friend, or two, maybe even three. Parking can be a nightmare here. I like to go pretty late (a habit that started during my pregnancy, go figure) so it usually isn't too bad. But if you're driving there for lunch, you may have a bit of trouble. But I think that's pretty much everywhere anywhere near here. read more

Spent the weekend in Brooklyn exploring The Book of Hov exhibit and navigating the city with the family. Armed with some pre-trip research, I had a checklist of must-visit spots for our first "official" visit to New York. While wandering near the hotel, the name Juniors kept popping up. I thought, "Why not give it a shot and take a stroll?" We were conveniently located on the same side and didn't have to trek across the Brooklyn Bridge. The word on the street was that their cheesecake was legendary, and my only familiarity with the place was a band's endorsement for a slice. We ventured on an 11-minute walk from the hotel to Juniors and indulged in four slices--strawberry pie (a nod to Diddy), oreo, red velvet, and apple. The cheesecake lived up to the hype. Our server was fantastic, and we lingered, absorbing the vibe and immersing ourselves in the history displayed on the walls. Afterward, opting for convenience, we took a Lyft back to the hotel. The next day, after a Lyft ride from The Book of Hov Exhibit, we found ourselves back at Juniors for breakfast before heading south. My wife and I savored the lumberjack meal, while the kids enjoyed a corned beef hash omelet and silver dollar griddle cakes. Once again, our server was delightful, ensuring a pleasant experience. We strolled back to the hotel after our hearty meal. Lesson learned about Brooklyn's nighttime chill--my Maryland hoodie wasn't up to the task. Junior's is a classic diner renowned for its cheesecake. I had been wanting to try this location and finally stopped by on a Sunday at 3 PM. To my surprise, the restaurant was quite empty, and I was seated immediately. The retro vibe and ambiance were delightful, and the service was outstanding. The waiter was incredibly kind and had a great energy. I was pleasantly surprised with complimentary cornbread, coleslaw, and pickled beets. The cornbread was buttery and fresh, and the portion was generous. I ordered a cappuccino, which was deliciously creamy and exceeded my expectations. Of course, I came for the cheesecake, and I opted for the Chocolate Brownie flavor. The brownie component of the cheesecake was phenomenal, rich with chocolate chips. The cheesecake itself was classic in flavor but incredibly decadent. I also had a chocolate shake, which was large and satisfying. Juniors restaurant is the heart of downtown Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue , it's been in downtown Brooklyn for ages or decades ( probably a landmark) it compares to "Cheesecake Factory "but better, since I'm a Brooklynite I prefer juniors. the cool thing about juniors there deliver all over . so if I wanted to move out of New York there can deliver to me the store is located in DeKalb avenue and Flatbush avenue, right near the City point building (where there have century 21 department store, Trades joe supermarket, Target stores, Flying tiger store, etc stores ) and right across the street from the Long island university-Brooklyn campus. Chanel 7 to be exact 12/14/18 Call 800 597 2267, promo code yum7. The deal was for 2 small cakes for $49 with free shipping. When I called 2 times and was hung up both times. I called the 718 and the other # listed on their website. Waited over 22 minutes to speak with manager. Not one person I spoke with knew of this deal and its was on national tv at dinner time. Despite great reviews and being "famous" I have twice gone and twice been completely disgusted. The first time the waiter brought me water with black things floating in it. We pointed it out to him and he brought back two more glasses with the same black "stuff" floating in it. We again pointed this out and he said "well, no water for you then". I ordered the cheesecake special milkshake and I regret not bringing knowing the number of my EMS driver. The amount of calories and sugar in this milkshake is a instant formula to cure anorexia and should be put into all textbooks for aspiring nutritionist. Let me tell you that finishing that shake is more thrilling than any amusement park ride because you don't know if your making it out alive. The steak burger was so juicy that one bite into it and I told the waiter to take away my water because I won't be needing that trash. Came here with my husband for a quick meal. Place was packed, but we were seated in short order and had drinks within minutes. I had a honey mustard chicken sandwich while he had a no-frills cheeseburger cooked well done. Both were great, and the fries were plentiful. About the only thing I did not like with the meal was the coleslaw. It's a dill pickle coleslaw, and I'm just not a fan of that. To each their own, though. With that said, the cheesecake was awesome. I received (8) eight orders of Junior's blintzes and loved 'em, until I started receiving strawberry sauce with less and less strawberries. The mail-order kit is to come with strawberry sauce. Orders #1-5 came with the largest, juiciest strawberries I ever tasted. Then the strawberries stopped coming. My order, yesterday, came with one small strawberry. The blitzes are still delicious, but the amount of fruit in the sauce has declined. I favor the strawberry over the blueberry every time - and there's no finer blintz found in the USA (in my opinion) but the sauce is mediocre now....ruining the entire experience. read more

After an amazing night at a concert we came in and ordered lobster roll and buffalo shrimp simply delicious our server was friendly and accommodating she answered every questions and dietary restrictions my companion also really enjoyed their food and we had an amazing view of fellow concert goers as they passed which was very entertaining. although staff was really busy but she made sure everything came out perfectly and we weren't missing anything and she kept checking in which is rare now a days i'm impressed and i hope to return very soon read more

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! THe best cheesecake on the planet! The environment is great and we had fun with our server. We went in and sat for two hours and had such a great time. It was nice not to be rushed and be allowed to take our time. In all fairness, it was not busy but our server could've easily been annoyed as all my friend and I did was giggle and people watch. For $7.25 for a slice of cherry cheesecake, you might think that they'd provide you with a plastic bag that fits the packaging. Surprise ... NOT. Since the bag is a lot narrower than the plastic package that's designed to hold a single slice of cheesecake, chances are 50/50 that the packaging will rotate in the bag so that the packaging opens and you end up with a bagful of cheesecake. The food here is very good, but the place is really famous for its desserts. The desserts are incredible. The cheesecake is very good, but the red velvet cake is also very good, the cupcakes are gigantic. You can buy a whole cake or an individual cake. It's also a little too pricey for me; I think it was $40+ for three BECs last time, including tax and tip, and that feels a little steep for breakfast sandwiches. Then again, the world is too expensive these days, and they're just keeping up.

I usually wind up going to this diner in the early morning hours so it is not very packed (ex: before 9:30am on Sundays). However, once 10am passes that's when the waiting outside begins. The staff at Little Purity is fantastic. The owners are always welcoming and chat you up just the right amount to make you feel at home while not being intrusive. Service is always on point and quick, even during their busier hours. I typically have egg-based dishes. Whether it is an omelette with cheese and veggies or eggs over easy, I have enjoyed everything I've had here. I also really appreciate the option of having a small cup of oatmeal in place of home fries. Even better? They'll provide a serving of hot sauce and home made jam at your request and you can use the jam in the oatmeal and your toast while the hot sauce is fantastic on eggs.
