This Mexican restaurant is tucked away on Venice and Clarington with a free parking lot. They have a great happy hour until 7 pm on weekdays, with margaritas and plenty of food options! It was not crowded when we went on a Friday and the service was very quick. The food and drinks were tasty and the meal was very reasonably priced

Very friendly staff and a solid happy hour. Totally recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Chicken negro mole encounters

Was there yesterday, the chicken negro mole enchiladas was excellent , the margarita was top notch, highly recommended, as a local I'll be back .

If you know good Mexican food, welcome home. Home style, feel good, small joint with lots of class and culture. Karaoke, if you wanna come with a party - Just ask Bobby! ... EPIC

Recently discovered this place last month after living in the neighborhood for years and have been back 3 times since. The staff is always friendly and fairly attentive. Food is fantastic and it's nice to have some legit comfort food and not another bougie fusion option. The wet burrito is my go to and they get it right every time. When it comes to drinks they make some of the best margaritas and micheladas in the area. The one downside is the parking lot is small so it can be tough to find a spot during peak hours and street parking is only one hour.

Chicken quesadilla

A gem in the Culver City neighborhood. Great food, amazingly friendly staff, and the best happy hour in WLA

This place is the spot! The service is amazing! Immediately as I arrived I was greeted and seated and felt at home. They have the soccer game playing on a Sunday and created a great ambiance. I ordered a Maracuya (passion fruit drink) and I was skeptical that it was going to be too sweet but it reminded me of my childhood and the menudo was on point!

I found another hidden little gem. So close to home yet I never been here till last night when I decided to try something new. When entering the restaurant they have a small little bar to the right and about 6 or 7 tables Incase you want to dine in. Unfortunately I didn't have time to dine in so I ordered to go. I was greeted first thing when walking in and was seated I told him I was going to eat out and he said it was fine to take a seat and let him know when I was ready. So I sat and took a look at the menu and decided on two things the camarones al mojo de ajo, and the burrito mojado with mole coloradito. To drink I ordered an agua de Jamaica and agua de maracuya (passion fruit). Both drinks were incredible! So I took the food home so I might have had a bumpy ride and it showed with the camarones al mojo de ajo but despite how ugly it looked the shrimp was delicious perfectly seasoned and garlicky just how I like it the rice and beans hit the spot and as for my burrito I asked for it with no lettuce because lettuce does not belong on a burrito but everything about that burrito was incredible the mole was sweet just how I like it and it just felt like a complete dish mixture of both sweet and savory! Very impressed with last night dinner. parking is horrible tho only downside about this restaurant

The nopalito salad was good, but on the smaller side. Maybe good for 1-2 people. All the food was good! Shared the "taste of Oaxaca" plate with a friend, which was good but maybe not the best thing to share since you had to slice up the protein, etc. Lots of mezcal cocktails - I ordered the Chido Wey and really enjoyed it. Did not like the Al Chile! as much. Very sweet and not much spice. The service was a little slow sometimes. He came by to ask about dessert and we said we needed a few minutes and then he never came back. We ended up having to get up to ask for our check. There is limited street parking. You park at this coin laundry place down the street around the corner on Motor Ave. after 4pm. There is a person monitoring the parking. You bring your receipt as proof.

It's a nice spot with a good vibe, but the experience didn't fully live up to expectations. The biggest letdown was the happy hour drinks. The mixed cocktails tasted pretty watered down, which was disappointing, especially when you're expecting bold flavors at a mezcal-focused spot. Not a terrible experience, but there's definitely room for improvement, especially on the drink side.

Limited outdoor seating by the streets, but definitely fits the vibes for a "Taco Tuesday". Tacos on Tuesday are $5 which are still quite pricey. FOOD Tried their surf and turf burrito which is way too pricey for $17 + $4 including rice, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, jack cheese, pickled onion, and a side of chips. Add guacamole for an additional $3. The carne asada was tender and not dry and it was packed with rice and onions, but the shrimp was not fresh. I did enjoy their hot sauces. SERVICE Friendly service and quick to order. Wait time dependent on the line, but usually around 10-15 minutes. Self serve water and utensils. The only thing I'd say is the meat could use a little more seasoning or salt, but even with that, I still enjoyed them. I also tried the enchilada, which was decent, nothing mind-blowing but still solid. What really stood out to me was the burrito (I can't remember if it was beef or chicken), but it was SO good definitely something I'll be ordering again next time. The setup there is super organized, which I appreciated. It's very clear where to order and pick up, and they even have security helping guide the flow of the line, which makes everything run smoothly. There's a nice amount of indoor and outdoor seating, so it doesn't feel too crowded. Service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long at all for my food. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can see why people love this spot. I'll definitely be back soon.
