Presentations still fabulous and menu is very much unordinary giving a great variety to choose from! The prices are reasonable, for under $10 u can get a personal and regular (larger portion) size skillet of Mac and cheese or ur choosing! The regular is about 1/2 lb. while the larger skillet is a 1lb. When u get there to order it may not seem like a lot but it's definitely filling! Service couldn't have been any worse, I'm certain the girl working the front would have cracked her face if she attempted to smile. Total RBF, but I might be that way if I was stuck in the dark dingy moldy smelling building with the sticky af tables. She tried to clean them with some harsh chemical, when she spayed the solution you could see all the particles floating in the air only to land on the next tables food and drink. Spray the harsh chemicals into the rag and then wipe the tables and maybe not use such bad products, there are plenty out there that are better for humans. Over priced food. I ordered 2 different flavors for wings and one of the flavors was way to spicy for me to eat. I immediately started chocking. I let the server know that I was unable to eat the food and was told that they can't make any refunds. I explained that I didn't want a refund. Parking is plentiful but we did get there around 3:30pm so it was slow. They do offer additional parking but only after business hours but across the street. Added brisket since it was suggested by the cashier which was disappointing. It would probably taste better if it was shredded briskets instead of cubes. It just throws the texture off. The breadcrumbs is a must! I should have asked for extra breadcrumbs for a more satisfying crunch. Overall taste was okay. Portion was decent for the price and they do show you the different portion skillets. PIT MASTER was okay also. Tasted like BBQ with Mac & Cheese. Also comes with the brisket chunks. This is the second time I've been here and it was better the first time. I was telling my wife about this joint and she's been wanting to try it ever since I raved about it almost a year ago. So today I tried the Pitmaster. It has chopped brisket, BBQ sauce topped with Colby Jack cheese. Added bread crumbs on top for a crunch. This dish was just okay. The BBQ sauce was way to overpowering, and the brisket was cut into small small small tiny pieces which flailed to add any character, or yield any resemblance of a notable smoky brisket flavor. My wife had the "Big Easy" which is the dish I originally tried the first time I was here. This dish has andouille sausage, bell peppers, and Cajun seasoning topped with mozzarella. Also added the bread crumbs for crunch. This dish wasn't at all as flavorful as when I tried it almost a year ago. I was sorta disappointed because I had raved about this place I'm not ruling this joint out because I'm hoping the issue was that the regular cook was off today. I called to place a pick up order and was hung up on twice in a row. Someone picked up the phone and hung it up on me without saying hello. The third time I called, they answered but immediately said "please hold" and set the phone down without even waiting for my reply. After literally 10 minutes, I decided to just drive up there. To save some time, I decided to continue to hold so I could still place my order. I arrived 7 minutes later, without anyone picking up the phone. When I arrived, there was only one couple eating in the restaurant and no one in line. I expected them to be super busy since I was on hold for 17 minutes, so I asked them why I was on hold for so long. I was told nonchalantly, "I forgot". No apology or further explanation. I placed my order and asked to speak with someone about what happened. The person told me that the manager isn't available and that I need to go online to submit a comment. The comments section on the website didn't work, so instead of offering them my feedback directly this public forum will suffice instead. In the end, I placed an order and realized after I got home that I was missing items. I guess they just "forgot". This type of dismissive attitude toward customers has become noticeably prevalent lately. I've heard so many good things about this place. That made me extremely excited when I got the opportunity to give it a try. If you're driving too fast you will definitely miss this place. There's limited parking and limited seating on the inside. However, there is a patio in the back. If you go during lunch hours, be sure to get there when the doors open to secure seating. I ordered the personal size portion of the "Big Easy". The macaroni dish included andouille sausage, bell peppers, onions, Cajun seasoning topped with mozzarella. The entree was served in a personal size iron cast skillet. I was a little disappointed because the entree wasn't hot. It seemed like it had been heated in the microwave for 30 seconds then topped with cheese. Also, it just did not have enough seasoning. Good for the buds on my tongue, but portion is more like a tasting dish. Aunt had Seoul, which was better than my Ponchovilla. Seoul had bugolgi meat, sriracha... forgot what else there was but I would recommend it. Service: the cashier was very knowledgable with the Macs. Upbeat and fun to talk with. It's always been an annual tradition to make the drive to Houston for my child's birthday at Jus Mac - we invite the family and friends to join us- it's a big deal every year for my child. After our experience today, even my child said "No more Jus Mac for my bday" sadly. We always order our favorite very diverse dishes at Jus Mac - from radical to traditional - the pepperoni, Quattro, popeye, and Tex-mexi but yet today was told they took them off the menu! The audacity! The best menu items are no longer being offered!? Why? Who would purposely remove such good dishes? Even the customer service was unfriendly. I got a very cold "I'm new here, don't know what you're talking about, never heard of it". It wasn't until I called the Midtown location did it sink in that Jus Mac actually ruined their restaurants by taking all the good items off the menu! Please please please put them back on the menu! The atmosphere was so empty and sad with blank walls, nothing is the same and we miss our beloved Jus Mac. Time to pick a new tradition to bring all our friends and family to now. One of our spawn has had a life-long infatuation with all things carbalicious, with mac 'n' cheese being a prime favorite. We had long discussed coming here, and finally made a run for it for a little special celebration. This is a pretty small place (particularly on a rainy day, when the patio is unusable), so watch out during rush hour. The automated ordering system is, in this case, more annoying than efficient, given the number of selections. I'd vote to get rid of it, personally. Employees (really only one in the front when we were there) were friendly and helpful. There are 20-some-odd variations of mac 'n' cheese, none of them light. Personally, we'd recommend the spicier/edgier varieties, as the classic recipes were fine but lost their appeal more quickly. The Chili Cheese and Hangover were favorites at our table, along with the Pepperoni. We all got the larger size, and most of us did not regret it. Well, we finished them, at least -- the regret comes later... :) Given the richness and heaviness of this meal, I personally wouldn't want to lunch here on a work day -- I might fall asleep at my desk. The Quattro Mac and cheese was good, just had a bit of a salty taste to it. I enjoyed it but it could have been better. The Mac balls are super good! I dipped mine in ranch rather than the marinara sauce it comes with but it is good with both dipping sauces. Very creamy on the inside. The Big easy Mac had onions, bell peppers, and sausage. It was pretty good as well but probably not their best. I look forward to going back and trying different flavors! We also ordered a 10 piece wing. I asked the cashier for half garlic parm and the other half lemon pepper, but I guess she only heard lemon pepper because we got none of the garlic parm.
