The food is okay - nothing too special. Watch out for the Whole30 Menu. My son ordered a hamburger from that menu and for $13 we got a hamburger patty with 2 pieces of bacon. When I called, I was told this was because the Whole30 Menu is different. It wasn't labeled on the menu we were looking at (GrubHub). Just be careful! My deconstructed egg roll was simply the inside of an egg roll. It was okay but it came with nothing else so it felt heavy and incomplete. Daughter who is gf/df was so excited to try this restaurant but wound up not eating her chicken and dumplings because the broth was too spicy. She did enjoy her tortilla though. Overall, disappointing. Additionally, for some reason Grub hub added a $5 third-party fee to our order even though we went to pick it up but honestly that could have been our oversight not having used Grub Hub too often before. If you do choose to go here, I would recommend calling them directly to avoid any unintentional confusion and we wouldn't suggest this as a family place since our kids really didn't enjoy their food. P.S. When I called to talk to them about these issues, the woman was kind and took time to explain. She did offer a $10 credit but since we are only visiting Denver, the credit wasn't really useful. read more

A great new place in the neighborhood. Wonderfully charming, light, and gluten-free! The atmosphere is relaxed, and classy. Like being in Paris without the pretentiousness. Service is excellent, and they have a really cool rewards program. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my husband had a Caesar wrap. Who knew an almond tortilla could taste so good? This place is wonderful!! Perfect for grabbing a delicious meal, meeting a friend, drinking a latte, or setting up your laptop and getting some work done. The inside is bright and airy, with inspirational quotes on the walls, and a total boho-chic vibe. The style of restaurant is counter service, where you order at the counter and your food/drink is then brought to you. The staff is extremely friendly and of service, coming by to check on you/cater to your needs. Since I wrote my last review, the food and service have definitely improved. Aside from Five on Black, Rioja, or Vesta, it has become my go-to restaurant when eating in Denver. Their tortillas are really good and they have added more items to the menu. My personal favorite is their mezze plate, which has allowed me to enjoy Greek/Mediterranean take-out food! My only criticism would be to offer desserts that a tad less sugary. They're good, but something fruit-based (natural sugars) would be appreciated. read more

On my first visit to Just Be Kitchen, I got the biscuits with mushroom gravy and a side egg. The biscuits were very good, hard to tell they are gluten free but they were a little small. And the gravy was sort of gooey and thick. The mushroom and side of kale chips were a nice touch. While it's exciting to be somewhere with so many options for my picky palette, overall, I agree with my dining companion's comment about beinga little underwhelmed. Maybe our hopes were too high. While I will probably go back because I know many people who appreciate a place where what and how you eat is important and valued, I have had better in my own kitchen and at friends houses. read more

Found this place form a blogger was excited to try while in town. Got there 7:30 Closed sign is still on door I tried anyway (I was excited) open! As I was walking to front there was water on floor and I slipped and fell (hard) a customer got up to help and the lady in the kitchen snickered, never asked if I was ok never said hi, someone will be right with you, nothing! The guy taking orders behind the counter must have been in the restroom he didn't see what happened and was nice getting me my coffee (which was great) but I'm not sure this is the type of place I'd come back to. As an add on someone from the restaurant decided to respond that my review wasnt valid and that "I'm negative" isn't the point of Yelp to tell others about your experience? Uuuuugh I REALLY wanted to like this place. Generally LOVE the gluten/refined sugar free options.. except when they are not good. I ordered the "Crave" burger which has a grass fed patty with pulled pork and pickles on a gf bun. I was so excited for this burger. What I received was a flavorless patty with gray, dry, under-seasoned pulled pork that that tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a few days. Bun fell apart and had no structural integrity, and was pretty much useless to hold the burger together. I gave the stars I did for the friendly staff and clean bathrooms. Update update: this place is like my safe haven. To get all gf foods, some "nourishing" baked goods when craving a treat, and just great food is incredible. I go as much as possible now. Update: have been back twice. I am constantly craving the damn tortilla. Second meal wasn't quite as amazing but today's burrito was! This was so good. I expected to be "good for paleo" but it was really delicious. It was a bit pricy (I didn't realize my kombucha was 6.50) but seems well worth it for the quality of food. This is the real Paleo deal. After traveling nearly 8,000 miles in a month and checking out as many eateries as possible (meaning, any cafe or restaurant that had at least Paleo options advertised), this was the best. Hands down. So good, I went for brunch two days in a row. From the sweet interior with inspiring quotes on the walls to the charming and sweet staff, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Lord have mercy, they have the greatest homemade pumpkin granola any person could ever ask for. It comes with this amazing, creamy, and frothy coconut milk that perfectly compliments the granola. The granola is chunky!! Lots of different seeds at once. It's not exactly crunchy but more so sticky the way it is. I also had the pork green chili, which was also fantastic. Fair amount of meat and not too spicy. Most of all, I think the experience was awesome because of the spacious setting and cute decor. read more

Let me start by saying that the food was fantastic and the establishment was super-cute. We went to the 15th street location. I was in Denver with my family for a convention; also with us were some friends from the convention. Between us, we had one vegan, one vegetarian, one person with celiac disease, and 3 people with no food restrictions (myself included). We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The offerings were diverse. Our group had curry, a burger, breakfast for dinner, a burrito, an Asian salad, and a vegetarian burger. I thought the ingredients were fresh and high-quality and everything was super tasty. I usually miss "normal" bread products when eating gluten free for my daughter, but loved the bun on my burger. The beef was delicious. The place is super quaint and cute. We were the only people there, having arrived about 5 minutes to closing. We thought they closed at 9 but the location we were at closed at 7. They accommodated us no problem. Potential hiccups -- as mentioned there are 2 locations; make sure you check the website for the location you want to go to as they have different hours and may have different offerings. Also, I recommend calling ahead. We went a second time on our last day in Denver, spending money for an Uber to get there, only to find them closed at 2 pm despite the website and window sign both listing hours as 9a-7p. We found out later they had been having some plumbing issues and had to shut down. That issue has been going on for a few days so would have been nice if there was a notice on the website. So, best to call ahead. We will try again the next time we are in Denver! read more

Much-needed, excellent addition to the Denver breakfast/lunch scene. The rare eatery in which a health-conscious diner can order anything from the menu without concern - the menu is very carefully curated to be nutrient-dense while light and healthy, all in the paleo category. I had the Wonder with added sausage. It was delicious! I also tried the bone broth and now I want to add it to my regular diet, and the chia seed pudding. I've been to Just BE Kitchen a few times and am obsessed! The Chicken Caesar Wrap comes on the most delicious tortilla and is my personal favorite. I've also tried the Wonder Hash and thought it was awesome- packed with delicious roasted veggies and topped with crunchy almonds. I like that I can order just about anything on the menu and not feel guilty- it all seems very healthy and fresh! On top of the great food, the people that work there are really nice. It took a bit longer for our food to arrive so they brought us two of their paleo chocolate chip cookies and thanked us for our patience. The cookies were super delicious! This is one of my top five favorite restaurants to eat at in all of Denver. I'm on a restricted diet due to health reasons so it's a no brainer that I fell in love with the paleo comfort food. What I didn't expect was that my husband would enjoy it just as much! He's crazy about the breakfast burrito. Some people have noted that the prices are high in their comments. My opinion is that you pay for it now, or you pay for it later (in medical bills because you're eating out at places that cook with hydrogenated oils and other inflammatory ingredients). Unfortunately, we live in a society where "healthy" food has a higher price tag because it isn't mass produced. They're making the tortilla out of alternative flours, not GMO corn & rice. Yes, it's a $13 burrito, but when else are you going to find a grain-free burrito that tastes like the real deal? OKAY FINALLY -- I also love Just Be because they're a staple in the community. I was put off by the decor and vibe at first because it's overwhelmingly feminine and filled with Pinterest inspired quote Art with the likes of Deepak Chopra. These are all the things I dislike about LoHi. This fake yogi wokeness......I digress... They had a ton of options that all looked really good! I got the Curry with cauliflower rice. I'm AIP (Auto-immune Protocol Diet) and literally develop symptoms if I eat anything that has been made with cheat ingredients. This place even makes it's own coconut milk. I tend to get bored easily and Denver has only two strict Paleo spots. This place has the biggest and BEST Chicken Ceasar Salad I've ever tasted and to top it off- it's all grain-free, dairy-free, non-GMO & organic! What more could I ask for...
