I've ordered from Just Pizza only a handful of times, but their pizza is by far on my list of top three pizza destinations in Buffalo. During my last visit, Rudy, the owner, was kind enough to take time out of his busy day to help me with my photojournalism project. When I showed up, he said, "You're two minutes late." I was a little intimidated. Then this huge smile shined on his face as confirmation of a mission complete. The owner is a jovial guy who likes to joke around, but from being in the restaurant just briefly that day, I could tell he ran a tight ship. An employee came out and cleaned the seating area multiple times, working to keep up with the volume and order demand as they went. The employees were friendly and the veggie pizza was precisely to my liking. Now I know why they've been in business for 26 years and counting: clean, friendly, and filled with good eats. read more

Gave it another try tonight. Jeeezus, does no one supervise the youngsters working there? Between the food (same old tiny shriveled way overcooked wings) and service ( I stood at the counter for I don't even know how long before anyone ever noticed I was there while half a dozen kids goofed around), I don't know how they manage to stay in business. Must be the convenient location and easy parking, because 18 bucks for a single order of really bad wings with a side of disrespect is no incentive to ever go back. I ordered a sheet breakfast pizza and a large broccoli cheddar. My whole department orders pizza from this location on a regular basis because usually we receive excellent service and food. This morning however our experience was sub-par to say the least. There were barely any toppings on the pizza and I called the location to express my dissatisfaction and spoke with the employee that answered the phone. I never raised my voice, I did not use profanity I simply stated the issue with my order and asked to speak with a manager. I was advised by this employee that all of the ingredients were weighed and the order was correct. The employee then called over to the manager on duty , with out putting me on hold and stated "hey do you want to talk to someone complaining about this order" to which the manager responded "yea I guess" I was then placed on hold and spoke with the manager. I expressed my same concern for the manager who's attitude was extremely lackadaisical and I understand it is approaching a busier time of the day , and pizza is not a life or death issue. He educated me that they used brand new scales provided by the company and the order was correct and I again expressed my dissatisfaction and that there must have been an error because there was barely any toppings on the pizza. I was told again it was not possible for them to be wrong .But, if I was that unhappy I could have 20% off my next order. I advised that doesn't help with my current issue , that I spent 70 dollars to get a subpar product. The manager then told me it sounded like I "did this for a living" that I probably complained regularly . My concerns are as follows: 1. I called to advise that I was disappointed with the product I paid for, and was never once spoken to politely or taken seriously 2. Not only was the employee rude , but it was clear that the example for how to interact with customers was set by the manager 3. The manager never apologized about employees behavior and was unnecessarily rude. I wanted to report this blatant disregard for reasonable customer service because no matter what business you are in the way your company is perceived is based on the performance and the product provided both fell well below anyone's standard for acceptable performance. For many years, Just Pizza has been our go-to pizza place, which we've had every week or two all year long. (And at least once a week during football season.) Being newly diagnosed as having a gluten issue and having to go permanently gluten free, I was excited to see that they offered a gluten free dough. It comes as a 10" pie (versus the regular small at 14") and you can get whatever toppings. Of course, it's a bit more expensive than the regular but that should be no surprise to anyone who has purchased GF product. Trying to not sound too negative, here is my review. GF dough never seems to rise, so everything you get is kind of flat and airless, and a bit dry. (This applies to cookies, bread, etc.) I ordered mine with extra sauce and that definitely helped. My husband had chicken fingers so he gave me one of his blue cheese tubs to dip in and that helped even more. Just Pizza's GF version was much better than the frozen pizza I tried about a month ago and as my husband said, "well, its better than never having pizza again." Which is true. I'm grateful that Just Pizza has this for when I'm having a wild craving. But, I'm not going to be ordering it weekly the way I would previously. I also think that I might do different toppings - e.g., chicken / onion / green pepper instead of pepperoni so that my brain doesn't have expectations when it sees the pizza. read more

Food is always good but the service today, I am torn...lady at the desk, classic case of "RBF" - not pleasant and not nice. Id placed my order 40 mins before arriving and it was NOT even made/in the oven! Someone in charge asked if I wanted it delivered, that wouldnt work so he offered to make it fast. I was also offered a small discount. 20 mins later my irder was ready, I went on my way. Fast forward to now...we're eating the food, bbq/honey wings - AMAZING, steak pizza with NO STEAK!! Just Pizza is a misnomer. I used to live across the street from the JP on Niagara Falls Blvd and multiple times a week would order all sorts of things that were not pizza. Full rack of BBQ Ribs? Check. Baked potatoes with bacon, sour cream and cheese? Check. I remember those potatoes being pretty damn tasty. Salads? Yup, those too. Now I live across the street from the JP on Summer Street and while I've only ordered from them twice (and both times I get wings), I haven't been disappointed. Their regular hot wings are pretty nice, good-sized chunk birds with traditional-tasting Frank's and butter hot sauce. They also have more unique "from the pit" char-flavors. So far, I've only tried the Texas Smoked BBQ and the Grilled Lemon Pepper Wings. While they were both decent, I wouldn't order either of those flavors again. The Texas Smoked BBQ lacked a bit of punch and needed more sauce the grilled lemon pepper, which is more of a dry rub had an interesting lemon-y taste, but also fell short on some level for me. However, I maintain that the wings are great. Meaty. The blue cheese is incredible, they almost certainly make it in-house. If you order 20 wings and like to dip, dip, dip like I do...I suggest getting a second order of blue cheese. read more

Alright, I'm done with this place. I picked up a "chicken finger" sub on my way home tonight. I was starving having skipped lunch. When I got home, I unwrapped it to find the sub cut diagonally in four pieces. Why?-I ask myself. Who wants this? I now suspect this is done to help disguise the lack of meat on their mostly just lettuce subs. Moving right to left, the end piece had a piece of chicken about the size of my thumb. Bummer. But the next section had sufficient meat, so I thought it was just the end and continued to eat. However, when I got to the 3rd piece, after taking a bite, I opened it up to find chicken finger *pieces* only on half. The last section was the same. I continued eating because at that point, I had already eaten half and I was hungry. But I took pics and went back to show management what I had been given. I assumed they'd want to know how poorly the sub had been made and perhaps would offer me something to compensate. What I really wanted was the chicken fingers that were missing from the sub. But when I spoke to the manager on duty, she simply acknowledged that the chicken finders were small. I told her that I was pretty sure there had been only two fingers on the entire whole sub. She apologized and said she could have remade it but...and shrugged (because I ate it--of course I didn't realize how ridiculous it was until half was gone). She then offered me the office phone number so I could call and complain. So now, on top of a disappointing dinner and the inconvenience of driving back, now I have to make a phone call. Perfect. Normally satisfied with their pizza. Put on hold twice, then was disconnected. Finally got to place my order. Ordered special of the month. Asked if price quoted included the discount. Person said he did not know anything about a discount. Went to pick up pizza and was told he never put the order in (if any question, they had my number and could have called.) They put the "reorder" in immediately. I said I would wait in my car. They said they would call me when ready. Called my friends and told them pizza was delayed. 40 min later they called. Though they open during COVID and our a staple in Buffalo NY they literally take nearly 2 hours to do anything. So if you want to have food on time don't order here! I placed an order at Just Pizza at 300 Elmwood ave. I placed the order at 12:37PM and my order did not arrive until 2:00pm. When the order arrived the order was incorrect. I was informed by Ruth Carter that they would not correct the mistake until they had another order going in my direction because I was "too far" I'm still located in the city, work at a major hospital, have a set lunch break, and am not actually that far. I am informed Ruth that I should not be made to wait because Just Pizza made the mistake. Ruth was extremely rude, and told me I didn't have a choice. I had a few choice words for Ruth her attitude, and her treatment of customers. I asked for the actual store managers name and she refused to provide information. I then spoke with Nicole at 1-800-251-5689. Clearly I was frustrated but never raised my voice or used profanities. Nicole preceded to scold me regarding my tone even though again I wasn't raising my voice but was clearly upset. Return call from Ruth, the day manager from Just Puzza. She now wants to make the sub and send it right out. I told her no and refund the money since her attitude and customer service does not warrant them keeping my funds. I told her to make sure the money was refunded. It is now 4:00pm, I have no new sandwich, no word that the money has been refunded, and Just Pizza basically has stolen my money. Please done ever use Just Pizza, they have poor customer service, and don't value their customers. Absolutely disgusting!! Placed an order at 6:10 for the steak pizza and 30 Cajun wings . Mind you it was for pick up only ! Picked the food up and all the food was cold !! Not even warm or semi warm almost like the food was sitting and you can tell it was sitting by the pizza . I've somehow managed to not eat at a Just Pizza location in the 15 months I've lived in Buffalo until just last week, but how? They are literally everywhere. Either way, I finally got to pop in and try a few slices of pizza last week because we lost power and needed a quick dinner to cure us. This location is a decent size offering a pretty good variety of slices and a large area to sit and eat them if you aren't doing carry out. I ended up getting a slice of the Buffalo chicken pizza and a slice of the steak pizza. Both slices were delicious and far exceeded my expectations. The crust was crunchy but soft at the same time, the sauce gets an A in my book, and the meat on top was great too. Overall, this seems to be a pretty awesome local pizza chain that I can definitely see coming back to in the future, and since there's a Just Pizza location every 2 miles it'll be pretty easy to find one! read more

Having lived in the Elmwood Village for over 10 years, I have ordered delivery, and stopped in for a slice, on many occasions. The staff is friendly for the most part. Sometimes they rush you along if it is busy, but that is expected. The restaurant is always clean and there is adequate seating if you are eating a quick slice on the go. The slices under the heat lamp are pretty good. It depends on what you get and how long ago it came out of the oven. I would suggest peeking at the slices then ordering the freshest looking one, rather than solely based on toppings you like. Oh, and don't forget the loganberry! Thats my only drink of choice with pizza. Ordering delivery has also been a decent experience. My only qualm with them is that they cut their pizza in squares. Squares are fine when its a sheet pizza but anything smaller and I always find that the toppings get mangled and the middle squares are never crispy. You can ask them to cut in slices, but I dont always rememeber to do that. Other than that the delivery pizza is great! My favorite is the shrimp pesto pizza, but most of the time I get a cheese and mushroom. I'm sure ill be visiting and ordering from this location for many years to come. read more

This location has fairly good slices, I really enjoyed their buffalo chicken pizza, as well as their steak pizza. I do not enjoy the customer service, that could certainly be improved upon. We were greeted by the owner and he made it a point to let us know that he loves making them, and hand delivered them to us...piping hot and oozing with good flavor.
