My server, Ke'Lexus swapped out the home fries for regular French fries after I shared with her that I don't really like brunch foods. She was very accommodating.... Located inside Margaritaville Hotel on the first floor. Live music when I was there, with the doors open and people singing and dancing. It was pretty packed and it was hard to find a spot, but I muscled my way to a bar seat. It's took a bit of time to be served, as they were super busy. They also had to recycle my beer glass, as they were out, which really concerns me in the day's of COVID. On the menu, pork belly tacos. 3 come to an order, which was a little much for me, however, there was not a lot of filling in the tacos, so I just made 2 bigger ones. The pickled onions gave it a nice zip and the avocado took the heat off of the Peruvian chile flavor on the meat. This definitely hit the spot! read more

Beer and cocktail selection is good here and the food is very good. They were moderately busy when I went there last Saturday night and had an entertaining band. It took 18 minutes before the bartender finally acknowledged me and took my order-he kept taking more and more requests from waitresses while I sat. Then folks who sat down after me got his attention. I have bartended and you must be alert as new people arrive and let them know you see them and will get to them and keep an order of service. Wave after wave of waitresses with drink orders do not take 100% priority. Other than this and realizing I had to wave my hand for more drink orders the place worked out well. My date and I had a fantastic experience at JWB Grill! As far as the food goes, the macaroni appetizer and wagyu steak were outstanding...as was the service. Speaking of service, many thanks to the Manager (Julianne Jacob) and our server (Mercedes). I proposed to my girlfriend during dinner that night at JWB and they helped by bringing the ring out to the table and taking video/photos of the very special occasion. Not to mention a couple of congratulatory glasses of champagne on the house. I would NOT have proposed if this place wasn't of that caliber...and it was. My, now fiancé, and I were 110% satisfied with our experience and JWB has become a place we will revisit every time we're in Nashville. AVOID at all costs. Literally the rudest bartender (Madison) I've ever encountered. I walked in the door, sat down, and walked to bar to order drink. Madison refused me service and stated that I had done something and "I knew what I did" and she was going to have security remove me. I literally had been inside for 1 min and interacted with no one. I also never found out what MADISON thinks I did, but go anywhere in Nashville but here (or any other bar MADISON works at). It's ok because I'm assuming that MADISON is just a very sad and empty person inside. read more

Apps came out with dinner 3 nights in a row and on the last night, I get half a steak. I rarely criticize but when a drink is 16 that has no alcohol, half a steak and cold apps, I have to speak up. I came here with my husband in April. I accidentally review the hotel instead of the restaurant so the names I mentioned and pics are gone. But our brunch experience here was awful. Our waitress acted like we were a burden for her. The place was pretty empty. A manager in plain clothes tried to give our food to two different tables (while we watched) and he then went back to the kitchen window. Then he figured it out and brought us our meal. And heaven forbid you want a 2nd glass of champagne during brunch. This was totally unacceptable and no visible reason for the lack of attention by the staff or incompetence of the manager. There are plenty of places to eat-we tried them because they were across the street from our hotel Tru. Next time I'm going farther than walking distance. read more

Had a total of 6 people for brunch today and took them to JWB Grill at 11:30 in Margaritaville Hotel. The place was virtually empty. Took 10 minutes before someone came to take a drink order. Spent $300 on breakfast! Steak and eggs was only average at best. Had to ask 3 times to get toast and biscuit which was ordered with the meal. This was nothing special for a Sunday Brunch. And to top it off, they do not validate parking after spending that kind of money on breakfast. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Had an excellent experience. Food and service was top notch. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our server, Ellie, suggested medium rare and it was flavorful and tender. The burger was juicy and huge. Deviled eggs as an app were just enough heat and delicious. The key lime pie was the best we've ever had. Our server was so kind and attentive. Everyone we encountered was great. I don't understand some of the reviews...i would 100% recommend them and the items we ordered. We are staying in Nashville for a Christmas party weekend with my company and my wife is pregnant so we were looking for something close to our hotel, and JWB Grill popped up on our Google so we gave it a shot. It's in the Margaritaville Hotel, and the restaurant is really nice. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there was live music being played which was very enjoyable.(sometimes it definitely can be annoying but this girl was very talented.) We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink & appetizer order very quickly. It took her about 15 minutes to bring out 2 sweet teas, but I cut her some slack because they had given us some water as well. Our spinach dip, and my French Onion soup came out shortly after, and both were delicious. Then my wife's pasta and my wagyu skirt steak Frites came and they really were pretty incredible. We both enjoyed the food very much. I do wish they offered some sort of bread for the table, but this isn't a deal breaker. Overall, the food was wonderful, but the reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the waitress was incredibly slow at refilling our drinks and even checking on us. They really weren't that busy and I honestly didn't even see her that much. Maybe she had something personal going on, I don't know, but all in all we had a really good experience. Tried to eat dinner here. Restaurant was not open so we sat at the bar to have a drink and wait. The bartender passed by us 5 times making sure not to make eye contact and offered no greeting. We went to JWB grill to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. The table was set up beautifully and the bartenders were taking the time to talk about different Bourbon options while we waited on the rest of our party to come in. Drinks were ordered and asked to be put on one ticket. Our server then walked up to the bar and stated that she would take care of ordering our drinks and would take the order to the bartenders. After we were all seated (5 couples) the waitress did ask about drink orders. One person kept being missed, so the waitress was asked to get his order. She then replied that "someone was not listening." As an added bonus random snarky comments were shared by the waitress throughout the night. After we finished our ok but overpriced meal, the check was presented to the table. Mind you, many times separate checks were mentioned as well as the typical "we are together" but only was check was given to the birthday girl no less. Our group was then told that the check could be divided up to 4 ways, but separate checks would not be given. It was then up to our group to determine who ordered what and what our portions would be. We were also kindly told that there was an ATM or we could Venmo each other. The manager then took the time to come over to throw in his 2 cents stating that it was not their responsibility to divide the check and that it is their policy to have only one check per party and it is not their job to see how much everyone owes. Really? Nashville has been hit with snow and the ice is yet to melt. There were very few people dining and rather than provide excellent service to match the cost of the dining experience, the manager chooses to behave in this manner. Last I checked, Cracker Barrel is a lot busier, and they are able to provide separate checks and ask who is together to make sure everything is accurate. So, if you like being treated as if you are eating at Dick's Last Resort, by all means, give JWB grill a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

Margaritaville is the perfect location for this restaurant because their Grand Margarita was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed three cheese Mac and cheese starter and loved the Steak Frite special. Almost 5 stars imho. Reluctantly came her for breakfast because we were staying at the hotel and it was raining cats and dogs. We ordered omelettes and the hash (my personal favorite) and everything was cooked perfectly. The coffee was smooth and strong. Our waitress was kinda laid back and not in a hurry but she gave us descent service. Keep in mind they don't serve pancakes here so look elsewhere if that's ur goto breakfast. My fiancé and I loooved our date night here! We sat on the outdoor patio so we could see the city, and even in December it was warm enough with their heaters. I feel like this is a hidden gem since it's in the lobby of a hotel. Highly recommend the LOBst deviled eggs, salmon, and garlic parmesan fries. (But ask for a side of ranch) Favorite part of the salmon was the sauce that comes with it! He got the chicken sandwich and said it was really good. The key lime pie looks a little small and unassuming, but it's super rich so what they give you is plenty I thought it was cool it came with these lime zest strips and a toasted marshmallow. It's almost ice cream-esque, I loved it. Cookie skillet is exactly what you'd imagine, big warm gooey cookie with ice cream on top. Just super hot so don't burn yourself. The lobby was super pretty and decorated for Christmas, and overall amazing atmosphere and great service. Food came out really fast too. Overall we had a great meal and a great time. read more

We gave this restaurant a chance even though the reviews were bad. The salads had WAY too much salad dressing in them and the main course arrived with our dirty salad plates still sitting on the table. Our steaks arrived - one was barely cooked and practically blue and the other was doused in butter and garlic. Both steaks were poor cuts of meat so it was as though they were trying to mask the quality. The chicken sandwich had so much dressing on it that it slid off the bun as you bit into it. The fries had a strange taste to them. Overall an awful meal and mediocre service. It's a shame because the atmosphere is nice and the live music was great for the background. Clean up your food and service and it will be a great restaurant. Gave 2 stars for look and music. read more
