Hadn't been here in a while but it's still good. I actually really appreciate the banchan they give because it's not all spicy--most places have spicy odeng these days, which our kids don't like, so they were happy to have it mild for a change. What we got: Mul naengmyun (cold noodle soup) - Hit the spot on a hot day. Noodles were chewy, broth was already seasoned enough that I didn't need the extra vinegar or mustard provided. Japchae - Surprisingly good! Super flavorful, the noodles were great and I don't usually like shiitake mushrooms but I didn't hate them in this one! Galbitang - This one was a little disappointing. It was fine, but we've had it in the past and it was consistently tasty. The broth used to be more garlicky (a good thing that kind of made it unique to this restaurant) and the meat used to be high quality and tender. This time the broth was fine, and the meat was pretty grisly and a bit tough. Not great...made us wonder if they changed chefs/hands? Or maybe it was just an off day... One thing: we ordered to go and we wish they hadn't put the cold noodle soup broth right next to the steaming hot galbitang broth...just wasn't very well thought out when packing. Still delicious though and doesn't deter me from going here!

We decided to have family night and asked the boys where they wanted to go and K-BBQ was the choice. We arrived at a a great time as we were seated immediately. The tables and grill were very clean. The exhaust works well as the dining area is not smokey. I already knew what I wanted to order. We ordered: Tteok-bokki, Japchae, and Corn Cheese for appetizers. The boys ordered Japanese Wagyu and Pork Belly to share. The Japchae was really good, I love the taste of toasted sesame oil. The veggies were cooked just right. The Tteok-bokki had cheese which was different and it was spicy which I like! The Corn Cheese was creamy and gooey. The corn was crisp, It was my first time trying and I will order it again! The boys really liked the pork belly and pairing it with the rice was good! The star of the show was rhe Japanese Wagyu! The boys cooked it at the right temperature. The Wagyu literally melted in your mouth!!! It was delicious.. The owner Chris greeted us and asked how everything was which was very nice. Shortly after we got Beef Paste Soup that had tofu. It must have been sent by the owner as we didn't order it. It was really good! We will be back as this staff is friendly, thr food is good and the owner is really nice!

Dont judge here for the simple name. This spot is a great small Kbbq Al La Carte spot to go to! Went here an hour before closing. The service is super lovely and they help grill your meat if needed. The side dishes were so fresh and delicious. We were a party of 2 and got nicely filled from two orders of meat.

Some people may be hesitant to go to KBBQ spots that aren't AYCE, but don't shy away from this spot because of that because the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food that you get here. You'll definitely walk out of here very full for a modest spend and be glad that you made a trip here. The restaurant itself is unassuming, hidden with a plain looking sign from the outside and and alright amount of parking. When you first walk in, you probably don't assume much as the setup looks efficient with a bunch of tables lined in orderly fashion with efficient exhaust fans. When you start getting the food and seeing the brilliant marbling on the meat you realize that you're in for a special treat. Even before then, the banchan here is better quality than average. The veggies are fresh and the flavor is great, particularly on the kimchee. These are all presented very nicely, though it's unnecessary for the amount of food that you get. For the table, we ordered a combination beef to try all the different meats available -- rib eye, brisket, boneless galbi, and outside skirt steak. It was difficult to choose a favorite only because all cuts were delicious, and this was presented on a beautifully arranged plate with the server helping us to cook. We also tried the spicy pork bulgogi which had a mild kick to it, but was as delicious as all the great options available at other KBBQ places nearby. If I had to order again though, I'd definitely give the berkshire pork a try. Overall, a must visit spot in the suburbs if you enjoy Korean BBQ. The flavors and textures shined from beginning to end starting with the banchan and in every meat I tried. If you're going to opt for premium cuts, you can definitely enjoy them here at a very reasonable price.

KBBQ has some great Korean barbecue options, but unfortunately no all you can eat options. The menu was big. We ordered the combo beef plate and spicy pork. Unlike most Korean barbecue restaurants, the servers here cook and plate your food for you. The cuts of meat we were served were excellent and tasted great, real high quality. The onions, veggies, and bon chon served along side were really good too. I'll go back and try some more of the menu in the future.

Nice cuts of beef, recommend the thinnest sliced cuts for quick cooking and tenderness. Minimum of 2 entree trays is acceptable and filling for 3 people. Any more and i would have doubts about being able to finish the order. It gets crowded fast being so small and all things K seemingly being so on trend rn... but its super convenient compared with all the places in Schaumburg. Better would take a trip out to Koreatown 2.0 in the suburban Northshore area on Milwaukee. And yeah, that place reminds me of Seoul with subtitles

Very good LA Kalbi at this restaurant. It's got a nice marinade and tender meat. The spicy pork and thin sliced pork belly were ok but pretty close in price to kalbi so I'd probably rather just spend the extra for that next time. The side dishes and dipping sauces were on par, and the service for the most part was pretty good. One thing I wish they did was just use a traditional grill mat or something of the sort since they used like a parchment paper or something that seemed a little flimsy. Also, the grill didn't seem to cook evenly at the edges of the surface so meat finished at pretty different rates. I'd come back for kalbi alone though.

For the hand-cut meats, we tried the brisket and pulled pork. Both were incredibly tender, smoky, and practically melted in your mouth. We also ordered the cornbread and mac and cheese, and both were standout sides. The cornbread was huge, dense, and still perfectly moist. I was a little worried the mac and cheese would be too spicy because of the Hot Cheetos, but it actually had just the right amount of kick. The combination of creamy mac and crunchy Cheetos made it extra flavorful. To finish the meal, we shared a burger, and wow , it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You do have to order at the counter, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations on which meats to try, which made the experience even better.

This is a really rare opportunity, so I'm not sure I'll ever see it again. Amazing!! For an opener we enjoyed the Char Siu Pig Wings, a really unique take on the chicken wing - sweet, spicy and perfectly cooked. Then it was on to the brisket, St Louis style ribs and some of the best and most interesting sides I've had in a long time. The Sticky Sprouts had the same flavor profile as the Pig Wings, unique and tasty. The mac and cheese was dusted with crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos and the fried green tomatoes were really good too. I didn't have any stomach room left for dessert. I'll have to try the candied bacon n the next time I eat here, which I hope is really soon. And, I was granted a special high kick in celebration of my bday! The staff made my night really special.

I ordered a small container of Brussels sprouts and a large of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was as good as usual--crunchy, cheesy, and the pasta was cooked well. The sprouts disappointed the family this time as there were a lot of stems included. +The instructions were very clear on how to heat the food the next day (Thanksgiving) -Even though I prepaid and picked a specific pick up time, I still had to wait in line +The gentleman who gave me my order included serving utensils which was a help by the time I got to my grandma's house My mentality when visiting repeat restaurants is "If this was my first time, would I go back?" and if that was the first time I ate the Brussels sprouts, I wouldn't order them again.

But let's face it you're not coming here for the decor, it's about the food!! That being said, mediocre at best comes to mind, sorry but true. I hade the Meats + two sides, I choose brisket and pulled pork with beans and fries. Where to start in the just food dinner? The brisket was plain and cook, maybe it had a Smokey flavor but it wasn't that stood out or having me think about more. The pulled pork was the same, it was pulled but the BBQ or smokiness was missing. If you thought those two were missing flavor, don't even try the baked beans, they were almost to the point of just being boiled and put into a little paper side basket. The fries, come on, we are in the Chicago area, why would the serve frozen crinkle fries, where are the fresh cut fries??? At least the sweet tea was good!! If you want good BBQ, take a little bit of a drive to "I Smell Bacon" now that is BBQ done and right the best I have found in the area!!!

I'm from California so I went to taste the barbecue in Chicago or Illinois we ordered our own platter or made a platter I should say we got brisket pulled pork, some ribs. Some beans, some collards some mac & cheese. We got the jerk chicken with the dirty rice. We got a link you got some peach cobbler so now let me tell you how would all taste it the peach cobbler is some of the best peach cobbler I ever tasted that wasn't mine. The beans on the other hand tasted just like they were from the can if they were smoked, I'd be surprised. The collard greens were good. They needed salt, but I would order that again. The yams were good. they could've done a little bit more salt but other than that, I would eat those right out of the container. The coleslaw was kind of funny tasting kind of like KFC the mac & cheese just tasted like macaroni and cheddar cheese together. I would not get that again it was nothing special. The ribs were good. The pulled pork was OK. The brisket looked nice, but it was really dry. I did not taste the chicken, but my wife said it was good and the rice they like the rice. all in all, I'm glad that I tasted smoking barbecue. I'm gonna have to try another barbecue joint in the area to compare to this one and of course to mine and I feel like I make better barbecue than this place but that's my opinion if I had to recommend anything from here, it will be the peach cobbler and the chicken and rice dish. Their sausage was really hard to cut also and it was a little dry also, but the restaurant is really nice and the people they were really nice also. their barbecue sauce is pretty good also I only put it on the ribs
