I am so happy Belmont Shore/Naples has an Irish pub with authentic Irish food and drinks. I'm Irish, never lived there myself but still have family who do and this place makes my heart happy. We know what we like and we like KC's! What a fun, friendly and chill spot! We sat at the bar and ordered a beer each. We also shared an order of fish n chips...the beers were cold and food arrived to us fast and hot! Thumbs wayyy up! We were there to attend the Yelp! 90's trivia event and had such an amazing night, from meeting Glen and Ryan, laughing it up with our fellow Yelp! team mates, to winning in the end! We shared a few appetizers that seemed to please everyone at our table, but the favorite I would say was the potatoes in buffalo sauce and blue cheese! Spicy and arrived nice and hot! The meat n cheese platter came with a nice selection of cheeses and corned beef and turkey deli meats ... Not fancy but not stingy either, we enjoyed it. First things first, the curry chips! They are French fries with a curry dipping sauce. Different, and definitely not what you expect from an Irish pub, but they really hit the nail on the head with the dip! Slightly sweet curry flavor that goes great with fries. Definitely recommend trying if you come here for food. We had brunch so I had the Dan sandwich. Nice simple breakfast sandwich with egg, avocado, bacon and mayo. I loved that it came on sourdough bread. I felt like the portions were just right as well. It's a nice chill spot in Long Beach for drinks and some food if you are in Naples/2nd street area and have a bigger group so need a lot of seats to accommodate. read more

The food here is absolutely EXCELLENT! We got the cottage pie and the Corn beef boxty and it was the perfect amount of food for two people and the perfect intro to Irish cuisine. The boxty is a moist Irish potato pancake and we got it with corn beef inside - so delicious! Also comes with horseradish and apple relish inside. The cottage pie is TO DIE FOR! Mashed potato on top of a tender beef stew - so rich and thick. I will say this place is also a pub so it's LOUD. So it's not a relaxed environment but the excellence of the food more than makes up for the somewhat rowdy crowd - all having a good time Though so that's good! Service was excellent. I ordered food to go from here on a very busy day. Left my debit card after paying and Someone used my card to purchase a separate charge of $79. My card ended up still being at the restaurant so I assume one of the workers used it in error. I called and spoke with I believe the owner, Ryan, emailed him a copy of my bank statement showing the charge came from here. No response. So the drinks here are amazing! We went and it happened to be HH....SCORE! We got shots of whiskey for $5? and if I'm not mistaken the mixed drink was the same. For apps we got grilled shrimp tacos, battered fish tacos and a 1/2 plate of wings and potatoes. Honestly the food was mediocre at best, my friend couldn't even finish it. Came in to celebrate my dad's birthday with my mom. I choose this place because it's a fairly well-known Irish pub and my dad is all about the Irish pubs, but had never been or heard about this place. We chose to sit at the high top table closest to the large open window facing the street. It was great because we felt that we were in a somewhat private area and they put on the Angels game for us which was convenient. Our server was EXTREMELY nice and welcoming the entire time we were there and made sure we were all taken care of drink and food-wise. I ordered the Irish nachos (which I later found that I wasn't much of a fan of them; idk, I think it's the curry that makes them unappealing to me), and my dad and I ordered several beers. Between the 2 of us and the appetizer, the total was a little over $50. I have been here once before for their bottomless mimosa deal, and had a great experience, so after this second experience, I'm definitely gonna be back! I have to say, that normally, I love this place. It has a lot going for it, but they failed yesterday. I stopped in to catch some of the Euro 2020 tournament (being played in 2021). All they had on was golf. It was a Tuesday, and no meaningful golf was being played. A pub of any repute would highlight all major soccer tournaments, especially one where England, Scotland, and Wales were participants. My shoes were sticking to the floor. The bar mats had GUM caked on them. I can't imagine ordering food here! It's got a very locals only vibe, which in this case is not a positive thing. It's a bunch of old-timers yukking it up, and spilling their drinks everywhere. No friendly people, just lots of side eye. At best you'll be ignored. Speaking of ignored, the bartender could hardly be bothered to bring our drinks. Huge chip on his shoulder. As a bonus, when I drank mine down, I saw there was something floating in it. Thanks for the clean glass there, bud! I regretted giving him a tip. This is one of the worst bars I've been to in the Long Beach area. Go at your own risk. read more

My retired coworker friend from Ireland took a nice speed walk with me through Belmont Shores on to Naples and back. She loves her pubs so we stopped here based on the reviews. They seated us promptly and were never lacking attention for our stay even though we lingered to talk. We each ordered a bowl of the soup for $8 and a side of Irish soda bread, 2 slices for $3.50. Me, potato leek and her, soup du jour salmon bisque. I had water and she had a pint of Smithwick's (on tap!) because I'm a lightweight compared to her! The chowder I had was thicker with potato versus cream so I didn't feel very guilty for cleaning the bowl. My friend said the bisque was good but she eats light so she only finished half. She didn't find the bruschetta-like side that accompanied her soup appetizing because they serve it cold. Although we both enjoyed the bread, she said it definitely wasn't like real Irish soda bread. Great neighborhood feel in there. I know they lost their owner (there's an in memoriam window painting dedicated to George) not long ago but his hospitable spirit lives on. Pleasantly dark and pleasantly loud, I could easily see hanging out there more often were it not almost a two mile hike to get there from my apartment. read more

And the food comes out all Food Networky, sprinkled with paprika or parsley or sauce drizzles. SPECIALS: MONDAY: get a half-price entree, and eat late to hit the raffle. Look for the half price beer selection. TUESDAY: get the all you can eat pasta, with their thick but crispy, buttery garlic bread. Get the pint of selected beer and keep the glass! WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: Check the website. SATURDAY: The French Dip is $4 off... order it "Carey" style (he's that drunk hockey player smoking outside) with garlic bread instead of regular bread for a small up charge. KCB has forever changed my perception of pub food. I used to think going to pubs was to chill, drink beer or Jameson, and maybe get a bite of greasy, mediocre food. Now, after being converted by KCB, first I go here to get my grub on, and then beer makes a close second. I first tried KCB on st. patties day and was shocked how fresh and delicious the corned beef and cabbage tasted...completely unexpected. Now I find myself coming here more and more. KCB has managed to sneak into my regular restaurant rotation. From traditional irish faire to some more contemporary, my favored dishes are the fish and chips, sherpards pie and their new chicken pie - yum. They list parking in rear so it street. At night it's hard to find parking but we went there on a rainy afternoon and parked right in front. Best Irish Bar in Long Beach! I miss the days of driving along 2nd Street for work. I really enjoyed coming into KCB and meeting the owner George. We would talk about beer, and his upcoming pint nights. The vibe is very cozy, but not small. This bar is just the right size, with enough social area to be the perfect bar. If John Taffer from Bar Rescue came in, he would absolutely love it. The food is phenom nom nom!! Try the Irish Nachos or a Boxtie! True Irish flair here. The bartenders know their whiskeys, and most importantly, each Guiness is poured the right way, in the right glass. Yes, Guiness needs to be poured with the "perfect pour" method in a Guiness Imperial Pint glass. Your beer is respected here. As I mentioned earlier, George is the owner. When you come in, ask for him. He is such a wonderful guy, with a colorful personality. He really cares about his customers (rookies or regular) and his staff. It shows. I've been here several times but finally made it in time for breakfast (served until 1PM). I haven't had the Traditional Irish Breakfast since I was in the UK last several months ago so I was curious as to how it would compare. The verdict: pretty close. I was a little disappointed they assumed I wanted scrambled eggs rather than asking. The bacon was WAY oversalted but it could have been the cook today. The blood sausage was about the best I've had- excellent! Everything else from the mushrooms to the soda bread was very good. I would come back for sure. They also pour a very good Guinness, too! We stumbled about a rowdy crowd this morning- bottomless mimosas were most certainly the reason. However, it's usually pretty laid back when we come. They have soccer games on or whatever local sports happen to be on. The calamari was fine, and a good size dish for $13.... and then the MINI Mac and cheese came out and it was a coffee mug sized dish for $10. We were taken back by the size and the price. I could probably count the noodles, that's how small of a portion it was. The bill was $70 and that was only two appetizers and 4 drinks! A bill should never get that high at an Irish pub, with only those items. Mac and cheese is not expensive ingredients, so why such a ridiculous sized portion? You get the next beer for $1 less than the first. You finish. You TAKE THE GLASS WITH YOU. Tuesday is also Pasta Night - UNLIMITED PASTA. UNLIMITED. Get this. They have Fettuccine Stroganoff w/ FILET as the meat. The pasta is cooked perfectly and it comes with two pieces of garlic bread. You don't get additional garlic bread, so take your time. This pasta is amazing. I have also had the Bolognese with Penne. Italian sausage and short ribs. Rich, pasta cooked perfectly, and a lot of flavor. Damn good. I hear good things about the breakfast and the other days of the week, but I am a creature of beerhabit. I see the goal and I meet it. I conquer the beer and I keep the glass.
