I really like the concept of this restaurant, and had high hopes. They specialize in seafood, and it reminded me a lot of Busan. We got the spicy cold noodle with cuttle fish, and it was different. I never had cold noodles like this before. The broth was a bit bland compared to what I was used to, and because they added crushed ice, the broth watered down causing it to become more bland. The cuttle fish was good though. Not sure if I would order it again, but it was cool to try. I also order the sizzling eel plate, and was disappointed. There was a good amount of eel, but it just tasted okay. However, the rice was dry. Not sure if the sizzling plate caused the rice to be dry, but this has never happened at other restaurants before. I wouldn't order this. Because I really like the concept, I want to give this place another try if I am in the area.

They have done a little remodeling since the last time I dropped in. The front door got moved, seems to have added more dining table. However, service and food quality seems to have taken a turn downhill. I came in with a group of 9. Totally understandable that we would have to wait a bit for a table without reservations on a Friday night. Once we were seated, I had to ask for menus. Then it took a while to get food ordered. There were some dishes that tasted great. Here are the good ones: Banchans - great variety, especially love the spicy shishito peppers Spicy stir-fried squid - good amount of squid to veggies ratios Seafood pancake - nice & crispy Spicy beef and seafood stew - comes with glass noodles, hearty Kimchi pork stew - can't go wrong with this dish La Galbi - good portion The meh: The raw soy marinated crabs were pricier $45.95 than everywhere else I've had it but it was also the smallest, 3 really small crabs. The galbi tang had a weird soap after taste and the short ribs did not taste good, almost like the meat was cooked while frozen. It was the one dish that we didn't finish. Braised short ribs galbi-jim - this looked like a soup, was not braised like I'm used to. Had two small chunks of short ribs for $24.95. We kept having to ask for things like bowls, refills on banchans. Maybe I came in an "off" night. I remember my prior experience being really good so will come back and try again.

Wow!! One of the best Korean spots in town. They have a wide variety of tasty food options from raw marinated crab to flavorful soups and appetizers. I was very impressed by the quality of their food options. On this visit, I tried the seafood pancake, raw marinated crab, and army stew. The pancake was so crispy and flavorful with heaping portions of seafood. The raw marinated crab was flavored perfectly. The army stew was so tasty too. I had such a great experience here. Food was fantastic! I've been to numerous Korean spots in town, and this is by far one of the best. I can't wait to come back.

While heading home, we decided on a whim to stop by this place, and we are very pleased that we did. The service was excellent, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. We quickly realized that the portion sizes were quite generous; once the first dish arrived at the table, we immediately regretted having ordered three large portions. Fortunately, we were able to take the leftovers home. The ambiance was cozy and relaxed, particularly at 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. We look forward to returning in the future.

Typical Korean decor inside of K-Tang. Great service. Banchan was ok. Seafood pancake was tasty; could be more crispy. Honey spicy wings didn't have a kick to it, but it was savory. Wished the wings were more fried/crispy as well. Tried some of the soy salmon rice bowl; pretty good! Not crazy about the sashimi naengmyeon. I've had better cold spicy noodles elsewhere. The kimchi pork stew was addicting! Not a fan of the pork cuts (more fat/tendon than meat). Overall K-Tang is worth trying at least once!

K tang is a place that I have been wanting to try for awhile. I came for dinner in a weekday and it was fairly empty inside. There's plenty of parking available as well. Their menu seemed very unique, they seem to specialize in cold noodles. Unfortunately, it's winter right now and I wasn't feeling like ordering cold noodles. We ended up ordering a soy salmon and soy shrimp rice bowl and the seafood soft tofu soup. They bring out a set of banchan after you order. I think they change up the banchan that they serve daily because one of my friends came here yesterday and they said that the banchan was different. The banchan they had was very interesting. It included sausage, pancake, radishes, and acorn jelly. I was surprised that there was no kimchi. The first dish that came out was the soft tofu soup. It was sizzling hot and you can taste the strong seafood flavor. I'd say it's definitely my favorite soondubu that I've tried in Houston so far. The slices of salmon were do big and thick. It's basically a sashimi rice bowl. The soy sauce flavor was pretty subtle and not too overpowering. Overall pretty satisfied with this restaurant but I would recommend the soondubu over the soy rice bowls

K Tang is the best! The food is delicious, but what really sets this place apart is the people. One night, my girlfriend and I were hanging out when one of the workers offered us a sake bomb on the house. They treated us like friends, not just customers, which is rare these days. Service like that, combined with great food, is exactly why I'll be coming back for sure. 6 stars

Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon. You know a place is authentic when all the customers are Korean. Ordered the spicy cold noodles with snapper, the galbijjim, and the yukdaejang. They had a special senior citizen's happy hour special, so ended up getting an extra yukdaejang for free. In total, was about $70+ tip with lots of leftovers. The galbijjim was nice and sweet, with well-braised meat that falls off the bone with ease. It's a smaller portion but filling overall. The spicy cold noodles were refreshing and icy. I wish they had an option for the sashimi style cold noodles but not spicy! Finally, the yukdaejang was warm, spicy, and flavorful. It came with a nice sticky rice. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The menu items are a little expensive but the portion sizes make up for it. Worth the visit! Will need to be back!

The ban chan - there was a decent variety but I found it strange there was not cabbage kimchi. I ordered Galbi Jjim (The broth was flavorful, and the meat and vegetables were tender - so good on a cold night) It's not a huge space, but there are tables for large The 3 stars is for inconsistent service. With a cold front hitting Houston, we were craving something warm and comforting specifically Korean noodle soup since we are already in the Long Point area. I briefly considered the H-Mart food court, but then Yelp brought us to K-Tang (tang meaning soup in Korean), which sounded perfect for what we wanted. When we walked in, there was only one other table occupied, so we seated ourselves. Several TVs were on, adding a casual atmosphere. We ordered the galbi jjim (braised short rib) and the ox bone soup. They served hot barley tea right away, which was perfect for the chilly weather. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The ox bone soup was mild and comforting--you season it yourself with the salt and generous amount of green onions provided. The banchan selection was on the simpler side: kimchi, cucumber, fish cake, kelp/seaweed, macaroni salad, and daikon. I wish they offered something extra like anchovies or bean sprouts, but it was fine. They also had a salad, which we didn't touch. I enjoyed my ox bone soup quite a bit. The galbi jjim was tender, though a little sweeter than we personally prefer. We happened to be there during the World Cup draw, so we stayed for over an hour watching the groups being announced. Even after we finished eating, they didn't rush us, which I appreciated. Toward the end, our waitress offered complimentary coffee even though we didn't take it. I briefly spoke with the owner, I assume he is the owner, and that their specialty is cold noodles, On a 40-degree day, I wasn't tempted by cold noodles, but maybe next time when it's warmer. Overall, a warm, comforting meal and friendly service. I'd definitely return when I'm in the area.

K-Tang is a Korean restaurant located in Spring Branch right across the Hmart on Blalock. Sometimes when I make a grocery stop at Hmart, I will swing by and grab a quick meal. I have gone to K-Tang quite a few times and have tried a variety of their dishes. My favorite is their specialty spicy cold noodle dishes. I absolutely love the spicy cold noodles with sea squirt, cuttlefish, or salmon. I have tried each variety and like them all equally, and I choose the protein depending on my mood. Asides from their cold noodles, I also have had their spicy chicken dakgalbi, which is very spicy They have a variety of side dishes; some change but some stay the same. The kimchi, fish cakes, and spicy, pickled radish are always present, and the other half changes up. Staff is friendly, and service is fast. There is also plenty of parking. Definitely one of my go-tos for cold noodles in town!

Good to try, personally wouldn't return! Food: Raw Soy Sauce Seafood (4/5) When eating raw seafood, one of many people's concerns is contamination, and unfortunately it was very obvious they gave us crab crushers that were previously used/dirty (picture attached). They corrected the issue right away and brought us a new set of crab crushers. Thankfully I picked them up and saw pieces of old crab and shell right away. We still tried all of the raw seafood and it was very good, not the best that I have had, but the raw soy shrimp definitely stood out. The Kimchi Stew (4/5) Not particularly amazing but still good! Sweet and Spicy Korean Fried Chicken (2/5) The chicken was in frozen bags in the freezer by the front door, we noticed while we were walking out. The sauce was pretty sweet with a little spice. The drumstick tasted crunchy on first bite which was great but the quality of the chicken was tough and chewy. Service (3/5) Service was fine, nothing too stand out. They quickly got me new crab crushers when I told them they were dirty but again nothing stand out. Atmosphere (4/5) The atmosphere was typical of any Korean restaurant in Houston. Overall, it was a fine experience. While the crabs and sweet shrimp were delicious, the dirty crab crushers were a pretty big red flag for me. read more

We went for New Year's Day and it was very quiet inside. Only two other families dined in. There was an older Korean gentleman that was so sweet and asked about our baby. At the end, he smiled and gave us a sweet oat drink and said that it was just a treat for new years. The food was amazing and flavorful. The Galbi was sweet yet very savory at the same time. Discovered this place a week ago, and it's my favorite restaurant find of the summer! The crab, shrimp, and salmon sashimi were marinated to perfection, and the yukgaejang was light yet flavorful at the same time. Also, they have two rice options: white and purple :) Service: they have buzzers at the table. They also allow Apple Pay, can scan a QR code to pay, which is super helpful. read more

Amazing Korean experience delicious food a nice variety of what felt like authentic Korean dishes ranging from soups to noodles to appetizers. The meat was well well marinated great flavor I didn't try any of the ramen's or the soup the seafood pancake, though was delicious. The seafood tasted fresh. The service was attentive. We got checked on multiple times and you also have the ability to push a button at the table in order to get service as well so felt like they had all good things going for them. Parking lot is actually a lot larger if you start kind of going a little bit further to the east past the bank and so I felt like overall great experience highly recommend. I really enjoyed this place. Service is good. some servers - I suppose they are new - didnt quite know to instruct people on what came together. For instance, rice and soup came with one of the dishes and we weren't sure who it belonged to since we ordered many dishes. Otherwise, i would say this is one of the better Korean food places in town for its taste, side dishes, authenticity. Portion size is huge! Honestly enough for 2 people. My new favorite Korean restaurant! This was my first time here, and I live close so there are many different options for Korean cuisine near me. I have been to several other restaurants in the area, but this one is by far my favorite. I walked in for lunch around 2 PM and it was reasonably busy, but I got a table immediately and was served water and bonchon promptly. The atmosphere is clean and cozy. The service was extremely friendly and very fast. All of the sides were delicious. My favorite was the kimchi and vegetables. For lunch I ordered the sotteok for a starter and the beef bulgogi lunch special with miso soup for my main. Both were extremely delicious, and the portions were generous. I can't wait to bring more friends back to this great new spot. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch and I'm sure their dinner service is even better! I can't wait to go back. read more

Had a great experience at K Tang! All dishes ordered were delicious. I had ordered the soy marinated raw salmon rice bowl, but they had ran out so the owner and staff explained it me very nicely. I swapped it for the shrimp and they added extra salmon on top for me! Very pleasant and accommodating atmosphere from the staff. Highly recommend. read more

We came in during their soft opening and was seated right away. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. I love the aesthetic of the dining area. We had ordered beef ribs soup (galbi tang), soondubu, salmon sashimi, seafood pancake, cold noodles w/raw squid salad (hanchi mulhoe) and of course soju and makgeolli! Beef ribs soup is great as a hangover cure, soondubu is the best I've had but I should've asked for more spicy, salmon sushi had great flavor with spicy peppers. Seafood pancake came out hot, crispy and thickkkk. Banchan was really fresh and flavorful. Our favorite dish was the hanchi mulhoe; I normally don't eat cold noodles or even raw squid but this dish was just so refreshing and delicious. And as a plus, the juice is an amazing chaser for the soju! I can see why its such a popular item on the menu. I would definitely come back and try the rest of the menu items. read more

There's really good reviews here and it was full of people for lunch. But I did not have a very good experience. My lunch cost $30 before tax. I had one dish It was good, but the sauce was not very good And I eat Korean food all the time And the behavior of the workers were not very nice. They kept being a little rude to me. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience here. I read the reviews prior to going there, so I had much higher expectations. First, they sat My girlfriend, me, and two friends. Then told us to press the button when ready. Our server was very nice, but also very forgetful. Also, the food itself was not great at all. From the meat and rice dishes to salmon bowl, and the tofu soup. I would say we all agreed the food did not meet the same standard of what we saw on yelp. read more

There aren't many Korean food options in Houston. Coming from LA, ive had my fair share of Korean food. I was craving some seoullangtang this past week and stumbled into this place. Service was very accommodating. There were some newer staff who seemed a bit confused but the manager was very good at setting tasks from what I can see. The seollantang was not bad- but be warned that it is pre-salted! Don't let the salt that they bring you confuse you like it did me. Not the most flavorful I've had, but hits the spot. The Pajeon was huge. The ingredients were fresh but the pancake itself was a bit thick. Definitely something to share with friends. read more

A friend recommend about this place, I went here last Saturday. The food was delicious, although we ordered a small portion of food but it can filled up for 2 people. We ordered cheese corn, teokk bokki, pork tonkatsu, and rice soju. Love the teokk bokki that they made here, soft but not too chewwy like other places that I've ever been to. It was my first time to try rice soju, it was smooth and bitterness, but definitely not like the regular fruity-sweet soju. If you looking for something new, definitely try the rice soju. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Food waited in the private event room for 20 minutes without being served to guests, multiple drinks/glasses broke, and there was visibly no accountability for the several food issues associated with our large party. Gabrielle's attitude towards asking for corrections for your meal was substandard for what you should've received at such as "nice" establishment. The event room was unusually warm. As busy as it appears with the ratings online- I would definitely say it's inflated due to the chef (taste of food) and NOT the service. To have spent $400 for my meal with my spouse- we received a $50 meal with $0 service. Chic-Fil-A has better customer service. GM Kevin, should review the footage of the private party event that happened yesterday for the table of 17 & definitely reprimand, retrain, and reconsider some of this staff. Once he left, the night appeared to go downhill. I desired to have such a special time celebrating a friend's birthday, especially given my first time being at The Bungalow, however, this represents the worst aspects of Black establishments unfortunately. #UpscaleIdeaUnqualifiedStaffUnderwhelmingExperience

I was given the option of sitting at the bar or table. They also have booths as well. The menu is standard for Pluckers and offers a variety of wings and drinks and sides. Staff were friendly but during lunch it minimally was hard to get the waitress for me to settle the bill. The bone in wings (4/5 stars) that I had were flavored well and hot when they arrived. Fries were just ok (3/5 stars). Fountain drink was served cold in ice. Overall was a good experience and similar to other Pluckers's experiences I've had. Large open parking lot. Will return!
