We came in hoping that our favorite "Kabob House" of the same name was back in business after moving out of a previous location further east on Highway 79. Used to love the food there back before it became "Blaze Pizza" which is part of a chain of restaurants. Long story short, this "Kabob House" is a different owner, but still worth trying. My wife had the combo plate with a skewer each of steak and chicken, with a Greek salad and pita bread, hummus and yogurt sauce. Regardless what other reviewers said the Greek salad had a yummy dressing, feta cheese, olives, red onion and tomatoes. The meat on the skewers was hot off the grill (we ate our salads while the food was cooking) and the hummus was some of the freshest, best tasting my wife has had at a local restaurant. I tried it and I have to agree! Since I'm avoiding carbs (rice, pita) I got two kafta kabobs (ground beef) and a ceasar salad. The salad had a very well done dressing and the salty, crumbled cheese really added flavor! The beef was a bit on the mild side but it was much tastier with a smear of garlic sauce. The dinner with two fountain drinks was around $31. The do come around to the table and ask if you want refills which is nice. read more

Coming from a Greek guy that cooks his own meditation food this food was really really good. Super fresh tasting all the way around. I had the combo kabob plate with lamb and steak and it was really good. The 4 sides was a great option but I had greek salad which was off the hook. This one we really like! We visit regularly and bring friends. It's one of our favorites and we drive a decent distance to get there, even though there are 3-4 closer choices. The fava bean soup is to die for. We love the kabobs. Chicken is very tender and flavorful (we don't eat red meat so can't comment). The tastes, flavors, and servings are really consistent, too. All portions are very generous. The garlic sauce and hummus are wonderful. They give us lots of pita and condiments. I've never seen such fresh pink pickled turnips at any other Middle Eastern restaurant we've tried. We always have leftovers and take home an extra hummus. read more

We ordered 3 combo plates with sides of hummus to go. When we got home, there was no hummus on any plate. We called the Kabob house and ask for a future discount and they refused. The best! The hummus was amazing! The baba ganoush was creamy with just the right amount of smokiness. The dolmas were perfect. They had tomatoes in them (or tomato sauce or something red) that made them different, and better, than others I've enjoyed. The falafel were shaped like Hostess mini-donuts; they weren't greasy or dry. Wonderful! The Turkish bread was top-notch as was the service. The vegetarian platter at $12 was a great deal. I don't know where to start but first the rice was terribly disappointing it was like the artificial boxed pilaf I was served in elementary school for lunch, no flavor not fresh or authentic. Ordered Catering food for a B'Day party of 35 people, after visiting the restaurant twice and trying the dishes we liked. The day of the party food came in late & cold, no courtesy calls were made to inform us they are running late. Once we opened the dishes we order we found out were all wrong, dishes we paid for were missing. Went back to the restaurant the next day to find out what was going on. They insisted they gave all the dishes & did not trust us. Later found out the dessert tray was left in the back room, never found out what happened to the other meat dish. The food was not cheap, prepaid & also gave a good tip upfront & to the driver. Will never go or recommend this place to anyone. Horrible dishonest owners & service. read more

The Kabob House is a great addition to this area. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and the Chicken Kabob sandwich. I like that when you order the sandwich to go, they put the sauce on the side so it doesn't saturate the pita. I think the sandwiches can be a little more plentiful (on the meat side), but they had a great flavor. Food was great. We tried kabob of shrimp, lamb, kafta, chicken, and an order of gyro meat. So many times kabobs are dry. Not these! Everything was moist and tender, seasoned well. Greek salad was great, as was garlic sauce and hummus. (We wanted to try everything so we could cater a party!) I missed having basmati rice (their rice was very fluffy and almost overdone)) but can't complain about anything else! Nice to have them so close. PS this is not a really dine in place. The restaurant is casual, order at the counter, very clean with friendly, efficient employees. More importantly, the food. I got a deluxe gyro meal and it was totally delish...super soft pita, quality meat, lots of veggies and homemade tzatziki YUM. Looking forward to trying some of their other dishes.
