The ambiance is nice, but that ends there. I paid over $9 for a latte that I could not finish. I got a regular latte, and it was the sweetest latte I have ever had. Kaffee Bohnen is awesome! Only open a few months and a bit hidden, I finally got a chance to pop in over the weekend. They have a parking lot in the garage on the side which is great. Any free parking in KTown is a win! Staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived which is always a good feeling. Both of our drinks - a matcha latte and a Bohnen cold brew were very tasty. Kaffee Bohnen...wow what a find. Delicious coffee and tasty croissants. Sorry, no pictures...my wife devoured the cheese jalapeño croissant. The stores namesake coffee is sweet and delicious. I came here with a friend, parked in their lot, and planned to go for a walk before grabbing a drink. The worker chased us down, asked if we were parked in their lot, and told us the parking was only for customers, without even asking if we were going to buy something. We found parking elsewhere and returned around 4:40, still planning to get a drink, unaware they closed at 5. After taking a while to decide, we went up to order at 4:57 (again, not knowing they close at 5), and the worker just said, "We're closed." Honestly, I thought that was rude. He could've let us know earlier that they were closing soon, or just made the drinks, especially after the earlier interaction. A Hidden Gem in K-Town I stumbled into Kaffee Bohnen by complete accident and what a pleasant surprise. This place might be one of the nicest, most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops in all of Los Angeles. The vibe is calm, warm, and thoughtfully designed. Everything from the lighting to the music to the layout feels intentional and inviting. What really stood out was the manager behind the bar. Friendly, knowledgeable, and seriously on point. In the time I was there, I watched him seamlessly serve drinks, stock shelves, wipe counters, and rearrange without skipping a beat between customers. Despite the numerous Paris Baguettes, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leafs, Tom n Toms, and the other K-town cafes, I still considered K-town as a cafe desert; there just aren't many cafes that serve good drinks and have reliable wifi. BUT, this "K-town-has-sucky-cafes" notion 180'd when I visited Kaffee Bohnen. I ordered an iced americano which was stellar and just what I needed to perk up. If you're looking for a more classic cup of Joe though, then you'll be in for a treat; customers choose from a variety of coffee beans -sourced from countries notable for their high-quality beans (e.g., Ethiopia, Mexico, etc.)- to brew their own tailored coffee. Kaffee Bohnen also offers gourmet pastries that'll blow your neighborhood Starbucks out of the water. In fact, I'd say their food is wayy better than Amandine's, another K-town bakery / cafe, down the street. Similar to the quality of their delectable pastries and robust drinks, their wifi is also GREAT. I'm a software engineer, so my work requires ample amounts of caffeine and reliable wifi, and, Kaffee Bohnen delivers on both fronts. Kaffee Bohnen is also clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a contemporary flare, making it a perfect study oasis in the bustling city of LA. I could stay here for hours yet make it feel like minutes. Kaffee Bohnen is down the street from my apartment and I decided to stop by since I'm trying out all the coffee shops in the neighborhood. The entrance is a bit awkward. You have to walk thru this side hallway in order to get into the coffee shop. It may look small from the outside and it's actually the commercial part of a mixed-use apartment building. However, when you enter, it's pretty spacious. I saw quite a few people already working on their laptops when I came in during the early afternoon. I got an iced vanilla latte. It's a bit pricey, I think about $7 after tip? But I think that's just the general pricing of drinks these days... It wasn't bad but not the best vanilla latte I've had. However, I think if I stayed to work, I would have appreciated it more since the decor's pretty nice and seems like a great place to come with your laptop. Came here to have a WFH day with 2 friends, and luckily snagged the last larger table with extension cords since we came early enough on a Thurs morning. Clean bathroom, music not too loud. Loved the overall experience and our time here! COFFEE I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk (5/5) since this is my standard drink I like to benchmark at new places I try. Because of the malty cereal-noted beans they use for the espresso, it tasted exactly like Lucky Charms cereal milk it was so smooth and not too sweet still! Have to give props for the shots to milk ratio, as the color of the latte was darker than most shops + not too much ice either. If you're picky about it, they use Califia Farms Barista Blend oat milk, which is one of my favorites. My friend got a Hot Matcha Latte with Oatmilk (5/5) and it was probably the best hot matcha I've ever had. They ask if you want it sweetened or not, and even as ordered sweetened, the sweetness was so light and barely there. The matcha was not skimped on and was super earthy/pungent and not gritty. If you don't like the pure taste of matcha this won't be your thing. Definitely less sweet and more pure than similar ktown coffee shops I like too. PARKING Easy navigation to get there, as others said, LOVE the free garage parking although its a bit of a squeeze if you're not the strongest parker. WORKING They have strong reliable wifi (password is on your receipt) and a variety of seating options. Plenty of outlets but I can tell they get quite crowded on the weekends with students staying long periods of time. I'd probably avoid coming back on the weekend bc of that. They close later than most cafes at 5 on weekdays and 8 on weekends now (extended hours recently posted) which is also a plus! read more

I was so lucky discovering this cafe since my regular cafe was full. I ordered an iced double shot chai with oatmilk. My drink was handcrafted and very delicious! A great cafe that is unfortunately kind of hidden away by the exterior. Now, they do have their business name emblazoned on the wall in large letters on the outer wall, but it's not very noticeable if you're walking on this side of the street. It also doesn't help that there's a place that's under construction right by the entryway, so at first glance the place looks like it is still under construction. I assure you it is open, and Kaffee Bohnen is a great place to enjoy some quality coffee, some pastry, and a fine selection of chocolate and honey that they sell. Place is well lit, has spacious tables with power outlets on top, comfortable chairs and plenty of greenery to help you focus on whatever it is that you need doing. There's also a nice couch which appear to be a coveted seating for those who are just looking to relax for a bit. It also has a parking lot with the entrance on S Catalina St. It's not terribly big but still a welcome amenity in K-town. Overall, a great place that needs to be noticed by more people--they're still pretty new after all (2 1/2 months, from what the nice barista told me). read more

A newly opened Coffee location in Koreatown that has lots of indoor parking. This spot has a good number of co-working tables if you're looking for a place with a large group of people! The outside area doesn't have as many comfortable seats, but the inside decor overshadows the outdoor area. The coffee is pretty good itself, and there are a number of pastry options as well! The Barista is really kind and works there almost everyday - the only contingency is that they close after normal working hours - by around 5PM.
