Reviewing just the Lemonana which consists of rose water, mint and lemonade. IT WAS FREAKING DELICIOUS. I could probably drink one everyday. Costs $5 and honestly worth it but also makes you feel very refreshed which is a good thing. I saw one other place at Reading Terminal Market offer smoothies, but they did not say "fresh." I ordered a small Mango, Orange and Guava smoothie: Boy was that a mistake because my little one downed the majority of it. So, I went back to order a Peach, Strawberry, Guava smoothie. Again, my little one downed most of it. Needless to say it was good. I enjoyed both smoothies because they actually tasted like just fruit and juices and no other extras in there, but def my favorite was the Mango, Orange, and Guava smoothie. We also took home a baklava with (pistachios on top) (they have 2 diff. kinds of baklava) and another dessert (see photo because I def forgot the name) inlaid with pistachios; hubs loved the baklava with all its yummy sweetness, but I honestly loved the little square pistachio-phyllo dessert because it was less sweet and had more crunch (from both the phyllo dough and pistachios). I wish I had had the stomach to eat and try their foods, but we were just too stuffed from breakfast. I would def come back and recommend this place because you won't be disappointed! We went through aisle after aisle of food stores and settled for Kamal's because of the Adam who is one of the family members who owns and runs the store. They have been in RTM for 28 years and offers amazing quality food at affordable prices. This place has been in the Terminal Market for as long as I can remember coming there. At least 40 years. The man in the picture (who I must assume is Kamal?) is an awesome person, and his food is very, very good. Falafels, shawarmas, etc., and if you have not tried it but like eggplant stew, theirs is to die for. Soft, tender eggplant, chick peas, green peppers and a yummy sauce for dipping with pita. Recently had the pleasure of getting take out from here when in town for the Flower show. We ordered Gyros and were blown away, I had chicken and my friend had lamb, both were the best we ever had. The young man waiting on us was nice, gave us extra napkins and wrapped them well as he knew we were going back to the hotel. Their smoothies were the only reason why I came here. The quality has decreased and I have no intention of coming back to try another one. Went for the Razzle Dazzle smoothie. The smoothie was so watery that I had to take it back. Instead of making a whole new one, they just poured the contents back into the blender and added ice to thicken it up. Somehow the same amount ended up right back in the 20 oz cup I had ordered. It still tasted awful, lacked flavor or sweetness, and was just overall disappointing. Although I've tried a few different kinds, my recent favorite has been the mango, pineapple, and kale smoothie. It is so refreshing! A small will cost you roughly $6.50 and a medium is $a7.25. I kind of go back and forth with the sizes, depending on my level of hunger/thirst. =P Service is good, and staff is friendly and patient. I usually get stuck in a line when I go, but it moves pretty quickly. I've made it kind of a "tradition" that I stop here for a smoothie before I head to Four Seasons next door for a mani and pedi. During the entire weekend, our events were nearby Reading Terminal thankfully. Kamal's I think was one of the healthier restaurants and had less people in line. They do have a bar area -- which helps a lot since the Terminal was very busy. Food wise - We had the chicken schwarma plate and it was pretty good + portion didn't disappoint. My mom and I shared it since she wasn't that hungry. Price wasn't that bad either IMO.I expected more since Kamal's is DT and way more North than ATL (where I live). Service was great. I was back again recently, and a woman came up and asked them how much their bananas were. The guy behind the counter explained that they were $.65, and said that they were somewhat expensive because they are a juice bar and don't usually sell just the bananas. He then suggested where she could get a banana for a better price in the Market.
