7/16 Dine in - I came in and wanted to see what the HYPE was all about on their Poke , it's a build your own bowl type of place ... I chose mixed green with shrimp and pineapple and cucumber and seaweed with imitation crab and spicy tuna .. and add toppings and sauce all mixed . IMO, it was alright but not enough for me to ever come back tbh. Everything seemed pretty bland and it all mixed all messy and it was just gross to me and their ice machine was broken .. especially on a super hot summer day . 2 meals and 2 drinks for $55 plus and tipped top is a hard pass for me ever again even the Costco pre made poke had more flavor than this .

Great local spot just across the street from Doheny State Beach. The place was busy but we got our plate in about 5mins. The quality of the fish was fresh, portions are generous, and sub $20 for a large plate that feeds two is still a good price for the area.

I finally checked out Kamea Poke this evening and was extremely underwhelmed by the kid working here. I asked him what he likes and recommends and he said "I don't eat fish" which was brutally honest but not exactly reassuring when you are thinking about ordering raw fish from a poke place next to a bait and tackle shop. I didn't eat here even though the salad greens looked fresh so I give that arena 3 stars plus parking is easy in the

This is one of my favorite poke spots in OC. Everything is always fresh, and their portion sizes are good. I got the regular plate today. Which is three scoops of protein, two sides, and the base. I got the salad base with a side of Hawaiian bread and crabmeat for the protein. I got spicy tuna, shrimp, and scallops. You can put a topping and sauces on there to your liking. If you're in Dana Point, check them out.

Cute little shop with some seating inside and a big parking lot, which made parking really easy. The staff were also very nice and welcoming. I ordered the Regular Plate ($17.45), which comes with 3 proteins. I chose 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of tuna. The rice was nice and warm, and the fish tasted fresh. For the price though, I do wish they gave a little more toppings or slightly bigger scoops. It was still a solid bowl overall, but I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to come back if I'm in the area.

This place is generous with portions. I was slightly disappointed, I wish they told me before hand that they mix the spicy tuna in the bowl. I prefer it on the side, but it all happened so fast by the time I looked up from saying my toppings it was too late. I was too shy to tell them anything after they already did it. However the flavor was nice. The sides should just be seaweed and crab, edamame should be a topping to be honest. The staff is friendly and the interior is clean.

Kamea Poke is conveniently located near Doheny State Beach, with filling portion sizes and great prices, this is the perfect spot to pickup a picnic lunch to enjoy on the sand. On a recent afternoon I ordered the smaller size poke bowl, which was generously filled to the brim with toppings. I took my order to-go and enjoyed it at the nearby beach while watching the setting sun on the horizon.

I ended up here in the middle of the day while working in the area. Never been before. I try to avoid chains when I can and pick something new each time. This place caught my eye, and I'm glad I walked in. It's a small, family-run vibe -- and I mean literally. Looked like a husband and wife running everything themselves. They were both super polite, calm, and you can tell they really care about the food and about every guest who walks in. No rush, no attitude, just warm hospitality. I went with something safe for me -- ramen and salmon sushi. And both were just... really solid. Not overcomplicated, not trying to be something fancy. Just good food made right. The broth had depth, noodles cooked right, and the sushi was fresh with balanced flavor. No complaints there at all. The place itself is small. Not a big dining room. A few tables inside, clean but definitely more of a takeout-focused spot. They don't have a restroom available inside, which kind of confirms that they expect people to grab food and go. And honestly -- I would. Not because it's bad to sit there -- it's fine. But this is the kind of meal that hits even better sitting somewhere by the ocean with the breeze. I'd definitely order takeout from here and eat outside by the water next time. I paid around $30, which is very fair for the quality, especially in California. They do ask about tip at checkout before you get your food -- that part always feels a bit weird to me, but I get it. Overall -- 5 stars for the food and the heart behind the place. I'll remember it. And I'll be back -- probably to pick up a to-go order and take it straight to the beach.

Plenty of parking and jsyk there is no public restroom. As for the food, everything tastes great! You get a great amount of fresh fish for the most affordable prices in the area. The sushi rice tastes good and I appreciate how the rolls aren't stuffed w/ rice to make up for the lack of fish. I especially like the Aloha roll, Lollipop roll, Crunch (shrimp tempura) hand roll, and the sashimi & carpaccios are all fresh. Love how you can get pickled wasabi (real wasabi) for a reasonable up-charge. All of their salad dressings are made in-house too! Great place for a quick & casual bite to eat. They got treats for dogs and lots of friendly vibes to share. Super accommodating to all, and can confidently say that they treat their regulars so well. Always happy to support a local, family-owned business! Thank you :)

We had a Baja Crudo, we had bluefin Nigiri, shotgun roll, house, salad, edamame, a side of rice.
