I visited the other day for a gel-x soak-off after my three-week trip to Asia - I was long overdue for a clean-girl manicure and pedicure. I initially walked in without an appointment (rookie mistake!), so I definitely recommend making an appointment if you plan to visit. Steven was working on another customer when I arrived, but he kindly scheduled me to come back later that day - totally fair, given I hadn't called ahead. Steven and Hannah (new couple) completely remodeled the space, giving it a fresh, modern look. They've also expanded their selection with new polish colors and trendy design options, including textured effects like velvet (cat-eye), intricate 3D art, minimalist styles like micro French and nude diagonals, and bold finishes such as liquid-metal chrome and aura gradients. Steven and Hannah are offering 20% off for all services since they just had their grand re-opening. I requested a basic gel manicure ($35.00), organic basic gel pedicure ($42.00) and my gel-x soak-off ($10.00) - the total was $90.00 and with the 20% off, everything came out to be $72.00 (tipped separately). Though I only got a regular manicure without any designs, I was honestly so impressed by how meticulous and detailed Steven was. I change my nail color pretty often, and I've always wanted that perfect deep burgundy but for some reason, other salons/nail techs could never quite get the tone right. When I showed Steven the shade I had in mind, he did something unexpected: he mixed two different burgundy colors to create the exact tone I wanted. I've never had anyone do that before, and the result was spot on! Even with shaping, I usually have to "inspect" my nails afterward and request small fixes but not this time. Steven got it right on the first try, both in color and shape. It was practically perfect from the start, which says a lot! Regarding this specific Yelp page, it's important to note that it has been acquired by the new owners, Steven and Hannah. I recommend filtering the photos by "newest first" so you can see the updated nail designs and work done by them from August 2025 onward. Any older photos (prior to August) reflect the previous management - Cindy and her family, who no longer operate the salon. By doing this, you'll be able to see the difference in results and style between the previous management and the new one. Lastly, if you're someone who prefers a quiet, relaxing environment and wants to escape the loud, crowded nail salons in the area - while still getting quality nail art and care - I highly recommend coming here. It's peaceful, not overcrowded, and you can actually hear your own thoughts without feeling rushed.

The nail tech kept telling me to cure the gel over and over, which felt unusual. After applying the top coat, she started filing the edges, and gel polish actually began seeping out from the sides. When I asked if that was normal, she insisted that it was. They offered me a discount, so I paid $30 for the set. However, when I got to work -- literally 10 minutes later -- and started typing, gel polish began oozing out of my nails. The gel started chipping almost instantly. For anyone who doesn't know, uncured gel polish can lead to contact dermatitis, which is dangerous and not something to take lightly. Out of concern, I went back to the salon at 6 PM. When I walked in, the owner (I assume) was extremely dismissive. I asked her to please look at my nails because the polish was all over my hands. She refused to get up because she was with a client. When I asked if someone could just remove the polish, she said, "I am not going to stop halfway with my client who has an appointment. Can you wait 30 minutes?" I ended up waiting 45 minutes. When I was finally taken back, the owner removed the polish using a drill bit, cutting me multiple times and burning my nails by holding the drill in one spot for too long. Overall, it was an unsafe and stressful experience. Save yourself the headache -- and the potential health issues.

I called to see if they accepted walk-ins since it was close by. Although I had read the reviews, I'm the type of person who likes to try things for myself and form my own opinion. The lady on the phone was very nice and said they had availability. When I arrived, I waited about 4 minutes while they got the person who would be doing my pedicure. I was on limited time, so when they asked what I was getting done, I told them just a pedicure. They suggested I get my nails done too, so I asked how long it would take if I did both. They said they could do them at the same time, so I agreed. The lady who did my pedicure was so nice. She took her time and asked about the color and shade I wanted, definitely a sweetheart. Although I did get cut on my big toe (and it still hurts and is a bit swollen), I think she did a great job aside from that. I believe her name was Daisy. However, the lady who did my nails was a bit aggressive and rushed the entire time. I told her I wanted my natural nails with a burgundy gel color. She started prepping my nails, but then I saw her take out a box of fake nails. I got confused and told her I didn't want acrylics. She said, "Oh no, don't worry, this isn't acrylic--you're okay." I repeated that I just wanted gel polish on my natural nails, and she insisted that what she was doing was better and would protect my nails. At that point, I didn't want to argue, so I let it go, but it was not what I asked for. As she continued, she asked what color I wanted, and I told her I wanted the same burgundy as my toes. The person doing my pedicure was still using that color, so instead she grabbed a red polish and started painting my nails. That completely threw me off, no one has ever done that before. I assumed it was just a base layer and that she would finish with the correct color, which she eventually did. On top of that, my nails came out thick and messy. There was polish on the edges of my nails and even on the back of my fingers. For some reason, she also filled the back of my right thumbnail with glue, so now it's bulky underneath. For all of this, I paid $122 plus a $25 tip, totaling $147 for a set of nails that I didn't even ask for and that turned out poorly. I'm not the type to argue unless necessary, but now I have to find another place to remove these nails and get what I originally wanted. Also, I didn't receive a receipt showing the breakdown of the services. Overall, please listen to the reviews. That said, Daisy was very sweet, and if I ever come back, it would only be to see her

My experience at this salon was very disappointing, and I left with my natural nails extremely…read moredamaged. I came in one afternoon with acrylic nails that were almost four weeks old. I explained to the technician that she could either fill them or remove them, depending on what she thought was best. Since she is the professional, I trusted her recommendation when she told me it would be better to remove them and put on a new set. I was also leaving the country the following day, so I trusted her judgment and agreed. To remove the acrylic, she placed my hands inside a plastic bag filled with acetone and then put the bag into a container with warm water. After a few minutes, my fingers started to burn and hurt, so I decided to take my hands out. When she came back and saw that I had removed my hands, she became very upset. I explained that I did not want to keep my hands in the acetone because they were burning and hurting. Her attitude changed completely. She started speaking in her language, apparently very upset. She eventually used cotton and aluminum foil to continue the removal process. After that, she began removing the acrylic with an electric file. I told her several times that she was hurting me, but she continued. At one point, she even placed a towel in front of my hands so I could not see what she was doing while filing. When she finished, my natural nails were extremely thin and weak. Since then, they have been breaking constantly, and they are so fragile that even doing normal things with my hands has become difficult. What concerns me the most is that I clearly told her several times that I was in pain and that the procedure was hurting me. Also, after she became upset because I removed my hands from the acetone, I felt that her approach changed and that the removal became much more aggressive. I cannot know what her intentions were, but as a customer, I felt very uncomfortable and felt that my well-being was no longer her priority. I understand that removing acrylic can take time and that there are different methods for doing it. My concern is not simply the use of acetone, but the way the procedure was performed, the pain I experienced, and the damage that was ultimately done to my natural nails.
