Katsu Bar is a restaurant located in Chino! We really wanted to try it out after seeing videos of it online and unfortunately we were a little disappointed. The portions were a bit small for the price. The katsu sauce was sweet and tasted likke berrys for some reason, even though we did not order that flavor. There may have been some mix up in our order? The tteokbok katsu was just okay as well. The katsu in general was good pretty decently, but everything else that accompanied did not match up. The fries were also a bit cold. Parking was really easy and the service was also really nice! There were things like a photo booth inside of the store which was pretty cook. Overall, Im not sure if I personally would come back here, but you can feel free to try it!

This place has great reviews. I looked it up when I was in town and I was super excited to try it. The staff offered to help with questions however because my kids did a lot of research. They gave me a heads up about everything beforehand. I enjoyed the employees and workers really getting involved in the everyday operations. It was it brought the fresher to get help and ask questions. Because it was our first time there. I'm

Omg i can't believe its taken me this long to try this place out. Its been on my list for so long, the brea location - i had no idea there was one in chino! Came for lunch and was able to get a few of the lunch specials. omg everything was soooo good. Location is quite big, lots of seating inside. They also have a photo booth area which i thought was pretty cool. I got the katsu plate, the katsu sando, the katsu curry udon & the rice cakes. BOMB DOT COM, can't wait to be back.

We wanted to try something new and Katsu Bar caught our eyes. Upon entering the restaurant. We noticed how clean, spacious and open it was. There is also a photobooth inside! The service was great and food came out fast. I would totally come back for the ramen! It was delicious and price was super reasonable.

Need a spot where your kids actually let you eat and the food is obviously great? Check out Katsu Bar Chino. Inside, there's a large self-photo studio with accessories -- the kids went crazy Outside, there's a big, cozy outdoor seating area with a small pond, so kids get their own me-time. That means parents finally get to enjoy their food Recommend: yubu pocket, egg sando, and classic curry katsu rice -- including both crispy and non fried choice all family favorites!

I tried this place for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised! I was apprehensive because I'm particular about my curry. We ordered the chicken katsu plate with extra spicy curry. It was absolutely delicious! I love the fresh radish cubes too! We also had the fried mushrooms and they were super tasty too. Everything was soooooo good, we went back a second time! I definitely recommend trying this place if you love curry. We've also "dined in" and it was a lil after the dinner rush and it was quiet and very clean. 10 out of 10

Food was super tasty! I thought the shrimp katsu sando was a tad too creamy for my liking, but the first few bites were good! Next time Ill probably pick a different type of protein. My fiance loved the pork katsu!

First time visiting. The place is bright and modern. Server was nice. We were technically the only customers there on a weeknight. Food came out quick, rightly so. Food was delicious. However because our server knows a table of customers who are there to hang out so he was distracted and having fun with them. Therefore the 4 stars on the review.

I've been on the lookout for pork katsu... GOOD pork katsu; because honestly, who can say no to that crispy crunch and juicy bite? We went here and not only found pretty good pork katsu, but also discovered these bite-sized yubu pockets that offered a fun little detour from the main dish that kept us nibbling. THE FOOD. - Yubu Pocket: Spicy California Roll. Fried tofu pocket stuffed with rice and topped with spicy California roll (imitation crab meat). Served cold, the tofu has a soft, slightly springy texture that gives each bite an intriguing contrast. - Yubu Pocket: Bulgogi. Sweet and savory bulgogi tucked into the same tofu wrapping mentioned above. I like this one more because bulgogi meat is more flavorful than the spicy California roll. - Katsu Plate. Tender pork katsu served with white rice, side salad, macaroni, and Korean radish. The pork has a satisfying crunch, and the Japanese curry sauce is mildly spiced, pairing well with the katsu. The sides are simple but balanced--the crisp salad adds freshness, the macaroni brings a creamy comfort, and the pickled radish cuts through with a bright tang. THE VERDICT. The katsu plate is the standout, delivering both flavor and texture. The yubu pockets are little snacks that add a playful spark to the dining experience. Overall, the meal was enjoyable and worth a visit if you're craving katsu.

Absolutely amazing!! Greeted with a warm smile. Bright welcoming location. Ordered to go. Food was prepared i and packaged for the to go order. Even after a 20 minute drive home, the food was hot! Really like that. Curry Udon with Chicken Katsu was some of the best I've ever had. Chicken was crisp, great flavor and was really moist. The Spicy Curry was on a whole other level. It had great heat but didn't over power. Noodles were cooked perfectly. I would eat this every day if I could. The Shrimp Bowl was a really nice surprise. Rice cooked perfectly. Cabbage and everything in the bowl blended well together. Shrimp was cooked well. Not over cooked. Nice flavor. Katsu Bar is one of my new favorites.

I ordered Rosemary Chicken Katsu with Waffle Fries to go. I like the Garlic Aioli on the sandwich. The Spicy mayo is good as well. The food was good. They have fun and cool photobooths. I didn't try it. Ambiance is nice. Friendly staff and good service. I will definitely be back to try entrees and curry dish next time.

The restaurant looks nice, very trendy with a little Photo Booth that's pretty common in newer Korean places. The service was good, it wasn't very busy on the Sunday we went, the wait time for food was only 10 minutes or so. The reason I rate this place 3 stars is because for the price, the food was just average. I didn't like how they plated the food in a pan (if your tongue accidentally touches the pan it's very metallic and ruins the food). A plate would've been fine. The rice and curry, which is of course the most important part, was fine. There are other places that do the curry better and add more to the curry (like Coco Ichibanya). The mild curry was actually pretty spicy, so beware, though I didn't factor that into the review. The mac salad might as well have just been more rice, it's fine, it just doesn't add anything. That being said, the rest of the meal is pretty good. The salad is tasty, and I do enjoy the addition of the radishes to cut through the curry. Finally, neither my girlfriend nor I were full, the portion sizes were too small. I even ate all the rice even though I was out of food, I ended up snacking at home anyway. But all in all it was fine, just not impressive.

Of the locations I've been to, this one is by far the least aesthetically pleasing. The other locations, especially the one on Sawtelle, are beautiful and have a nice theme to them. The interior of this one is very strange, it is just a bunch of tables (which are too close to each other) and a mural on one of the walls. The other locations have more wood features/finishes, softer lighting (compared to the harsher lighting here) , and just overall nicer. But ambiance aside, this location is pretty much the same consistent high-quality that I've experienced at other Marugame Udon locations. I think pretty much everything on the menu sounds good, so whatever looks good to you, you should try. I personally love the curry udon. The tempura is great, and I enjoy the pumpkin one the best; however, the last time I went, they didn't allow you to pick the tempura in the cafeteria style line, which is a big part of the experience! We had to order the tempura at the register. They made it to order, which meant it was fresh, but by the time the tempura comes out, I was pretty much already done with the udon, so I can't enjoy the food together. Not sure if that was a one time thing, but if it is a permanent thing, that takes away from the fun and unique cafeteria style experience and makes this just like any other restaurant. But overall, this location is just good. There are a lot of other good restaurants in the Rolling Ridge plaza, but I would go here if I'm in the mood.

Even with a bit of a crowd at 1PM on a Thursday, I didn't have any issues finding a seat. I've only ordered takeout, and I'm always impressed that the katsu stays warm and crispy. - Rosemary Chicken Katsu Sando with Spicy Mayo and Waffle Fries (Tuesday Special): 3 half sandwiches were much bigger than expected and very filling. The chicken was tender with a crispy coating, the bread stayed soft, and the mustard aioli and cabbage tied everything together without making it soggy. The spicy mayo added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the sandwich. Paired with the crispy, well-seasoned waffle fries, it was a satisfying meal. - Tteokbokki with Chicken Katsu (Thursday Special): Despite the chicken being packaged on top of the tteokbokki, the katsu stayed surprisingly crispy. The portion was also generous enough to share. I ordered the regular spice level, which had a nice kick. I was pleasantly surprised to find flat noodles mixed in with the rice cakes, making it feel more like a full entree than just a side of tteokbokki. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and perfect for dipping the katsu. I never would've thought to pair the two, but it worked well together! Who knew katsu could be so versatile? This spot is absolutely worth checking out if you're looking for a filling, affordable, and delicious meal.
