I live nearby this restaurant and always pass it when I'm out. I am a new Arizona resident (less than one year in) and I have been discovering new places, restaurants, and experiences of different kinds so I was curious about this restaurant. Looking at their (limited) menu, the only dish that was appealing to me is their Shoyo Chicken Ramen Bowl and here's my honest opinion: * I was so disappointed that the chicken are only (3) small pieces, bite size like, which doesn't compliment the bowl overall. Normally, one would think that a lot of chicken mixed with the ramen. * The taste of this bowl was so bland. No seasonings, no flavor whatsoever. It was probably one of the worst tasting foods I had ever eaten to a point where I even tried to add additional seasonings at home to try to enhance some taste. It still didn't taste good and I couldn't even eat it much after a few bites and ended up tossing it. Some pros to note, the staff was nice but somewhat lacking in service. When I came into pick up my online order at the time it was due, they were still another 15-20 minutes late to have my food ready. I'm not sure if this commonly happens but it did for me the night I tried this place. I don't care to return to this restaurant after my less-than experience. It comes with veggie broth with tofu (fried or soft), bean sprout, seaweed, corn, seasoned egg served with kale noodle, and topped with green onions. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the veggie ramen was. It was creamy, but not thick and we loved that it came with a good portion of tofu as well as (half of) a seasoned egg. Easy to find with plenty of parking. We arrived for an early dinner and seated within 5 minutes. Staff was friendly and clean environment. We ordered the gyoza which was just how I like them. Very authentic in flavor; then the chicken karaage which was perfectly moist, crispy and served with a side salad; next up was the tonkatsu ramen. I admit at first glance the broth looked more milky than the rich broth/cream I've had before. But, don't let that fool you. It was tastier than I thought it would be. The service here from was great. Yurike was so friendly and would constantly check in with us to be sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated how attentive she was to our meal. I felt like chicken teriyaki tonight. The flavor was good but the meat itself was a little tough. I've lived right down the street for the past five years and can't believe this was my first time coming in. From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing and so friendly, kind, and attentive. We were acknowledged right away, seated quickly, and felt well taken care of the entire time. Our server was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, especially since my daughter has a severe shrimp and shellfish allergy. They took it seriously, answered all of our questions, and made sure we could both order off the menu with no issues, which meant a lot to us. Stopped in around 6:30 PM on a Saturday. Despite the crowd, the estimated 15-minute wait was spot on. Our drink order was taken promptly, and we enjoyed the Teriyaki Salmon and Kazu Ramen. The salmon was a great new choice for me, and the ginger salad dressing was amazing. Everything was served hot and fresh. We went here after going to the mint market which is pretty far from where we usually are. We saw the ramen spot and decided to go. We have no regrets, the food was absolutely amazing. We decided to get the chicken kaarage and the kazu ramen. The ramen had chashu as well as grilled chicken, the chicken was so delicious, it had so much flavor and eating it with the spicy pork broth made it 10x better. The chicken kaarage was also very tasty but I feel like it lacked flavor. Adding the spicy mayo it came with did make it better but I still feel like having that extra flavor would've made it perfect. The restaurant itself was a cute little space but it was very clean. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the customer service is consistently on point every visit, and the place is always buzzing -- which tells you everything you need to know. A busy restaurant with great service means they're doing something right. My only minor note is that the selection of additional sides could be expanded -- I'd love to see more options to round out the meal. But that is a small wish for an otherwise outstanding spot. During my first visit, I was getting over a cold, so I decided not to leave a review at that time since my taste buds were not at their best. It is very well maintained. I arrived right at 4 p.m. when the restaurant reopened for the second half of the day and was the first customer there. I was greeted by Angel, who was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Kazu with the spice on the side, the chicken karaage, and a Coke. My food arrived in about eight minutes. The broth for the Kazu was nice and hot, but the chicken karaage was only warm and not as hot as you would expect from something freshly prepared. I am not sure if it had been precooked or if it just sat for a bit before being served. Overall, the chicken karaage was decent, but the Kazu did not quite meet my expectations. The chicken in the Kazu was somewhat tough and had an unusual smell, so I decided to remove it and focus on the grilled pork chashu instead. The chashu was flavorful, and adding a bit of spice made the dish much better. As for the service, while Angel was polite and pleasant at the start, the follow-up could have been better. After my food was delivered, she did not return to check on me or offer a refill, even though there were only four other tables occupied. It felt like I had been forgotten. Overall, this restaurant has a lot of potential. With more attention to food consistency and a little more attentiveness in customer service, it could easily become a standout spot. read more

Hubby liked his dish. It had plenty of noodle, broth & other ingredients in it. He said it wasn't spicy to him. Our server told him he can always ask for chili sauce if he wants it more spicy. We ordered some ramen and salmon, our server was knowledgeable about allergies and able to help us picked things that worked for us. She was very polite and patient. The seating area is open and bright but not too loud. Our food came out sooooo quickly. Faster than a drive through quick. The ramen was outstanding and possibly my new favorite in all of the valley.
