KJ was an excellent bartender--friendly, fast, and served great drinks. Highly recommend.

They blend in quite well with the neighborhood, and are located across the street from one of my favorite Thai restaurants. As soon as we came in service was so kind and made us feel welcome. The staff (Bella and Alexa) were so kind to us the entire time, and when we left they even suggested we come to their events since we loved the food so much. Yes and yes!! We ordered a pairing of their best selling green curry ceviche complimented by a Riesling. we also ordered the Thai beef tartare. Ok, at first bite of the tartare... FLAVOR! It was so delicious and paired well with the Riesling. The green curry ceviche was refreshing crunchy and zesty. The beef tartare is the best in the Sacramento area hands down. We sat outdoors, and we saw that it would make a great space for intimate gatherings. I reckon as the weather gets warmer I may opt for indoor seating, but this option is definitely worth coming back for. I couldn't recommend this place any more. We snagged a cookie on the way out and NO WAY THAT BETTY COOKIE was one of the best things I've eaten. They bake too?? AND they open at 7 for my return to office mandate :( I love it here

For dessert, the affogato was a nice treat, and the panna cotta was good but could use a stronger coffee flavor to really take it to the next level. The outdoor seating was a genuine highlight. Cool, calm, and a nice escape from the usual restaurant buzz -- exactly the kind of vibe that makes you want to linger over another glass of wine.

There's metered parking in the street just in front. They have a nice selection of wines and cocktails. Not the most expansive list, but a nicely curated one. Most recently, I tried the Pimms Rangoon (Gin, Ro Pimm's, fresh lemon, ginger, pineapple, fizzy water) and a wine that I can't recall. The cheeze whiz (house made whipped manchego and parm on crostini) is a must-have. The bread is wonderful as well as the cheese and olive. I'm usually not crazy about green olives, but it worked so well with the cheese. I've had tinned sardines in the past, and they were fine... along the lines of a tin of Fishwife. Next time, I'll probably try another bread & cheese dish. I like the kitschy vibe. And, our servers were nice both times I've gone. If I lived a little closer, I'd probably drop by more often, but I'll keep this place in mind when I want a drink and a small snack to go with it (and dessert at Ginger Elizabeth is next door!).

Came here for our monthly meet up with the girls and not gonna lie this was a disappointment. I have wanted to try this place for so long and it was mid at best. They didn't have a kitchen when I went so their food offerings were extremely limited which I didn't know before coming. The ambiance was great. While the space was small it packed a great punch. I will say our server disappeared and she was very short when she was unavailable. I came, I saw, it's unlikely I'll return given the many options in Sacramento and the surrounding areas. Go for the experience if you choose On the plus side we ended up at the dive bar Golden Bear after for pizza nachos and beer and I have found my new favorite dive bar so I'll call that a win!

So I arrived early and sat outside waiting, Adria was my server and she was such a lovely lady who was attentive and asked me how my first time being there is. I ordered the burger with fries, and their hibiscus non alcoholic drink. The drink, FABULOUS! It reminded me of Jamaica (Mexican drink) and it tasted just the same. The burger, MY GOODNESS! It was cooked to perfection, the burger had flavor, leaving me speechless. The ambiance was so cute, and very busy on a Wednesday night when we went to eat. The place overall was really nice, I would def come back to this place forever!

Inside is small but cute. Had a seat by the window. It's tight quarters but didn't feel crowded. Got the elote dip and buffalo cauliflower. The elote was 4.5/5 - small portion but came with chips and fed 3 of us. 3/5 buffalo cauliflower was a little undercooked and crunchy. It wasn't my favorite and the dipping sauce wasn't memorable either. 5/5 rev burger with a side of garlic aioli. The burger was AMAZING. Flavors were delicious. I had heard about the burgers before but this was my first time trying it and I would 100% get it again. Had the burger cooked medium and I think I could probably go medium rare next time for a little more juiciness. Friends got the take out noodles which were served in a cute little Chinese takeout box and they enjoyed it. 4/5 churros came out with a candle as we were celebrating a bday. I had indicated it on my reservation but we only casually mentioned a bday and our server brought it out with a candle as a surprise and it was so sweet and thoughtful. Service was great, I believe her name was Faith. Will def be back again!

This hidden gem offers an experience that's unlike anything else in the city. The setup is simple but charming: you literally walk up to a window and order your wine. I believe it's one ring for white, two for red, and three or four for sparkling--don't quote me on that, but it adds a playful, old-world vibe that makes the whole experience memorable. The Wine Window is affordable, laid-back, and surprisingly quaint. It's the kind of place where the ambiance, the people, and the energy make it feel more like an experience within an experience--not just a drink stop. I had the chance to chat with John, the owner, who shared a bit of the backstory. He previously owned a full wine room nearby, but when the pandemic hit, he had to pivot. Instead of calling it quits, he leaned into a smaller, more intimate concept inspired by wine windows in Europe. Honestly, I think the scale makes it even better. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while people-watching on L Street, and yes, there's even a restroom available (a rare but very appreciated amenity for this type of setup). If you find yourself downtown, do yourself a favor--swing by The Wine Window, have a chat with John, and enjoy a unique Sacramento experience.

My mother-in-law went to find a staff person and they pointed us to a table with a reserved sign. It took awhile before our table was acknowledged, but we did eventually receive menus and have our drink orders taken. This certainly isn't a place to eat when you're in a hurry. Again, there was a lag between our drinks being ordered and coming out to the table. The cocktails themselves were very enjoyable and well crafted. The drinks and some appetizers held us over until dinner came out. Overall, the food turned out to be worth the wait! That was a pleasant surprise after the service started out so roughly. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and that was enough to bring this dinner up from a 3 to a 4 star experience! I really hope they're able to hire in more staff because they serve some great food and beverages.

The scallop was the most tender scallop I've ever tasted, it just melts in your mouth and perfectly seared.
