In as much as I try to avoid donuts (lord knows I don't need any help growing my midsection), I love going here! I love the cruellers than Man has on Friday and Saturday (pink frosting is my favorite) and my dad LOVES the raisin rolls. My daughter loves the Thai Tea and donut holes and if I stop on the way to school/work; my son and co-workers love the fresh donuts that are often warm. These are the reasons I recommend the DONUT part of the shop. That being said; the owner Man is an exceptional person. She has befriended my family, she asks after my loved ones when they are not well, had offered to support us way beyond just making great donuts and has become a dear family friend. I have to say that I count Man and her staff as blessings to our family and I'm so glad that we get to frequent this shop and support them with our business. Thanks Man! Just moved into the neighborhood and found this great donut spot. The customer service is great and the dounts are made fresh.

Perfect for a quick fix! I do love supporting small businesses, which is why I chose to come here instead of frequenting the Ralph's grocery store next door for some donuts. You can definitely tell that these goods are made fresh daily as there is a very limited selection of donuts available here. I assume that throughout the day, the selection becomes much smaller (unless they constantly make more during business hours). Unlike several other donut shops I have been to, KD's does not feature any specialty donuts. Rather, it is a simple shop with your basic donuts. It makes for a quick fix but nothing more. There are no signs inside the store that display the cost of donuts, beverages, and other goods on sale. While I did not find this rather odd for a small business, I did find it a little inconvenient. I recommend putting up signage with a list of items on sale so that if a customer is interested in something other than donuts (like milk, tea, coffee, etc.) they have an idea of how much it will cost. When I did ask the owner/cashier how much the donuts were, she simply said, "It depends on the one that you want." Not exactly helpful... The donuts I purchased were: - Bavarian cream-filled donut: very well filled! Some places only lightly fill their donuts and I found this one to be filled rather completely. I assume this costs more than $1. - Chocolate glazed donut ring: light and airy, just my favorite type! Probably costs at or below $1. - Chocolate donut with chocolate glaze: bready kind of donut, very small, and certainly not airy. I'm not a fan of these kinds but my boyfriend swears by them and thinks they're pretty good. - Chocolate donut with chocolate glaze and sprinkles: another bready donut, as per bf's request. Decent! - Dozen donut holes: very light, airy, and glazed to perfection. This costs $1.80. Overall, I paid $6.50 and the owner/cashier was kind enough to add 2 donuts to my order for free! They were the bready kind of donuts I didn't like, but I did appreciate the kind gesture. So thank you again for the coconut and brown sugar glazed donuts! If you're looking for a donut shop with a bit more flair, KD's is not the one. But if you're looking to grab a bear claw, a dozen variety donuts for work, or what have you, then this should get the job done. (As an added note, the other customers seemed to be regulars of the place, which to me is a good sign altogether so it's worth warranting a visit!) (4/100) read more

Got a bad vibe from the cashier lady. Doesn't seem to like kids. Brought my 3 and 5 yr olds for a treat. Good selection of doughnuts hence we took a few minutes to decide. But seemed that she was a little annoyed and impatient, could kinda see it on her face and hear it in her voice. And then while heading out the door my little one said he needed a napkin. In the meantime she was apparently on her way out too and stood still right behind us at the door when she heard my son's request waiting for us to move out of her way. As I headed back inside to get some napkins she went out to bring the outside chairs inside. Maybe she was closing up shop and annoyed that we were holding her up. Interesting the disparity of polar opposite 5 and 1 star reviews here. I give her a 2 cuz my kids liked the doughnuts but how can you screw up a doughnut lol. And also cuz she at least put on a fake smile lol. That is a good sign, more for the owner but not for me. I really wanted the old fashioned. They had all gone AWOL. The apple fritter - like every other one I have tasted. The chocolate cake donut - the same. Not bad. Not knock down, drag out different. Regardless, this is a decent, clean shop and you won't go wrong. So, if you are harboring guilt like me, treat yourself, but pair it with a green drink. And make sure you are eating what you like. And take the sage advice of a good Yelper friend who confided to me a little known Weight Watcher philosopy: "Eating standing up has negative calories." Stand up, THEN grab that donut. The donuts are tasty and on par with other donut shops (or better than most). They offer a wide variety of donuts and the counter windows are usually full of donuts. I would even go out of my way because I liked them more than some of the other local shops. The problem is that the owner (Mahn) is constantly talking and throwing attitude. She can be happy and generous (extra donut here or there) one day, then rude and entitled the next day. And she talks behind people's backs as they walk out the door. It's only donuts, lady. I put up with it for awhile until something put me over the top. I ordered some donut holes for my kids. They're $0.15 each, so I ordered a dozen. That would be $1.80, right? Nope, I was told $2. I replied, isn't 12 x $0.15 = $1.80. The girl behind the counter replied that they "round up for convenience." What's up with that? It's only $0.20, but that attitude was the last straw. Oh, and don't try to use a credit card. Their "convenience fee" is $1. No thanks. We told our friends about this place since we all live up the street. The women treated our friends absolutely horrible and was extremely rude. I love these donuts!!!! These are so good! Going early is the best way to get the ones you want but all of them are good!!!! I love their CroNuts which is a cross between a croissant and donut! Kd's donuts are the BEST donuts I have ever tasted in my entire life. The donuts aren't melted, but instead the glaze or frosting is nice and caramelized. The second you bite into it, you feel like you are in heaven. The donut is so fluffy and AMAZING. I have been going to Kd's donuts for my whole life and every other donut shop I go to never can compare. Not to mention the workers are super kind and always give you extra donuts. Tried some donuts from this store at a recent bbq and immediately bookmarked and dropped by the store to get some for myself. There are so many varieties! All the items were huge and tasty! My favorite apple fritter donut was perfectly balanced with tons of sweet apples. The owner, who also works there is super sweet and helpful.
