Absolutely delicious. The lentil topping and white sauce were a nice touch! The girl at the front was very sweet. I assume she's the daughter of the owners. When we approached only the SECOND time to just CHECK IN on the water, they started yelling at us with attitude. To top it off, there was a piece of Disgusting. Hear me out. This is probably one of the best Afghan places I've been to. The meat tasted very fresh and had a great presentation. The restaurant is spacious and super clean with nice depicting on the wall. The food servings were also a great portion and had a nice combination of rice and chicken. To top it off the service provided was great too; the servers were nice and brought the food out in a timely manner. I will definitely return in the future :) read more

I decided to come here once more after several months of boycotting. I had my reasons from my previous review but the owner was nice enough to acknowledge so here we go... Came here on a Wednesday afternoon ..party of 5. Ordered a large platter with various appetizers and two desserts. Food quality was perfect and quantity was on point too. The hostess kept an eye on us and continually asked if we needed something...which I appreciated. We ordered just two desserts to try out what was available today (also only two since we were stuffed already). Two deserts...two spoons..and no plates...so honest mistake since we were just tasting the dessert...I asked for an extra two spoons and an extra plate..which was given. Now the place is getting busy...nice to see that! I asked for the check.. got the bill... Take out my amex card....was told we don't take that anymore (even though I used it at my last visit...but that's ok I understand that policies change..). Take out the Visa card but decided to review the bill again......18% tip is already included in the bill...hmm this is interesting...but ok no problem...but was told the tip does NOT include the gratuity.....This is the same thing guys... But I didn't want to argue with the waitress because this is clearly not her fault..this comes from management . So basically ended up giving 36% ( 18% tip which was included automatically to my bill and additional 18% gratuity cash). Expecting 18% extra on top of the automatic 18% that's included ...is excessive. I came for the food which was perfect practically....and I'll raise my 1 star from last time to a 4 this time...could have been a 5... But I am still not sure how a 36% is justified. I loved everything about this place. Other than those in the kitchen, there was only one girl manning the fort and she did a great job. She took orders on time and was friendly. There is no good food on long island. Until we found this place. Searched for kabobs one night and went to the highest rated place within a comfortable drive and this was it. Didn't expect too much as I haven't gotten great experiences with food on the island but this place is a gem. Delicious food. Great, friendly service. Ordered two meals which were well priced for the amount of food you get. First five star review I am able to give for a establishment on Long Island. We ordered food from Kebab House last week for office holiday lunch and everybody loved it. The food was seasoned well with exotic spices and cooked to perfection. I had chicken kofta, eggplant, rice and salad. I put a huge amount of eggplant over rice because we didn't have enough plates. Turns out it was a great idea. All the flavors mixed perfectly. And I got married this was the first Afghan restaurant that I bring my wife too, I come all the way from Queens to this place in Long Island. I still come here on my anniversaries, are lamb chops are excellent cook just right next to tell not to stop just right. Lamb Tikka and chicken tikka is very well marinated as well and cooked to perfection. The rice is cooked Afghan Style which would accommodate any Afghan palette. Overall this place is nice what they got to stop putting that continuous commercial on the television and work on the music played in the background. Ok, so I've never dined here before, but after some research via Yelp I decided to place an order from here. I called on a Wednesday to place my order for Saturday. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and went over the prices with me. I opted only for kebab by the skewers without rice or salad. Per skewer, no matter what type of meat you choose is $3.99. Its on the pricey side when ordering a lot of food, but its so worth it. At approximately 12:30 I entered the restaurant and it was fairly empty. I was greeted and my order was brought out from the back. I ordered 20 skewers, (10 lamb tikka and 10 chicken tikka) which totaled $86 with tax. Neatly placed in a long foil with a top on it, I was ready to go. I took a quick peek to make sure my order was correct, and the kebabs looked fresh, juicy and smelled delightful. On the side I was given a huge helping of white sauce. Needless to say the kebabs were a huge hit! Super tender and paired greatly with the sauce everyone asked me where I ordered from. I visited the Kebab House with my family, including 2 teenagers, for the first time a few days ago. The food (we ordered beef, lamb and chicken kebabs served over seasoned rice was incredible. The portions and taste were amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. Trying the Kebab House's sweet tea is a must too. We also ordered dessert (their specialty ice cream, and a side of baklava was great). The location had plenty of parking too. The food was served promptly, it was fantastic and the staff made you feel like you were eating in their home (along with them). The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is as clean as have seen a restaurant in some time now. My suggestion is to give the Kebab House a try, you'll love it. WE DID !!! read more

This was an impulse visit for my wife and I. We were so pleasently surprised we have already made plans to come back. For appetizers we had the kashke bademjan - cooked mashed eggplant served with hot and fresh bread. Delicious. And we had manto - dumplings filled with seasoned ground beef mixed with onions. It was a distinct flavor that quickly grew on me. My wife had the fish Tikka kebab. Fresh salmon seasoned and served with fluffy basmati rice. She loved it. The rice was so fluffy and the fish cooked to perfection. I had a combo plate as my entrée - chicken Tikka and beef kofta with the fluffy basmati rice. I cannot say which protein was better than the other. Both were tender enough to cut with a fork and were very flavorful. Both entrées come with a salad. A dish of yogurt sauce and a dish of a spicy green sauce are provided. I put the sauces on everything! A great combination. The green sauce gave a nice kick and the yogurt sauce mellowed it out. Then we had a pistachio roll for dessert. Very sweet with a rich pistachio flavor. It was dense, moist, and a sweet treat at the end of the meal. We walked in to Kebab house late one night for a small bite, ordered the chicken wings and we were hooked. The food is delicious every time. Chicken wings are our favorite thing on the menu. They are seasoned well, juicy, and crunchy (as they should be).
