Stopped by to get some pastries for family. Parking is in the back with one way in. I would say it's moderately inconvenience. Walked in and looked around, they only have handful of pastries to choose from. I bought their moon cake gift box for $25, which comes with 4 small pieces. It was an unexpected stop and I had no time to go to other places so I had no choice but to buy it. Employee are nice but due to over priced items and limited selection, I would probably not come back.

The hours are wrong on yelp. They close at 530pm daily and completely closed on Tuesdays. There is a small lot in the back of this small bakery. Then there is even more parking behind that lot from the plaza. I love their egg tarts and thats what I went to buy. They had different crusts so I got a flakey one and a not flakey one for their custard egg tarts. They also had some po tat, but theyre not my favorite. The ladies are nice and they also accept cash apps like venmo as a source of payment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went on a Thursday afternoon and the vibe was quiet and chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ladies were really nice and welcoming. They also had other type of baked goods such as bread, cakes, and other Asian type pastries. I will be back!

Delicious egg tarts done 3 ways. Park on the street or behind via Abbott Street. Service is quick as everything is grab and go.

Every year, I tell my sweet wife to get me a buttercream cake, and every year, she gets some variation of a butter cake. Basically, my wife got a cake that she would like. She asked for it not to be too sweet. I can't really complain too much, as it's my wife's fault, not the bakery's. However, it didn't taste like a buttercream cake regardless. I would not be in a rush to come back here for a birthday cake as a Susie Cake's Birthday Cake is about the same price. I will have to get myself a birthday cake myself next year.

One of the OG bakeries in SGV, and they been at this location for so many years. They have a good selection of delicious Asian bakery items; my favorite classic here are their classic green onion buns, pineapple buns and sponge cakes. They also have some very pretty Asian cakes. I love coming here whenever I'm in the area. The staff are nice, and it's fun to practice using my Cantonese here. The only thing I didn't like is the pricing; it truly went up so my favorite pastries aren't the same price as before.

Love this bakery, located right across the street on Valley Blvd. The best thing here is their egg tarts!! Those are super good, made fresh daily and the crust is so buttery, golden and flaky!! Other items I tried and really like are the chicken pie, pineapple bun, butter cookies, and cream puffs. Parking is non-existent so you'd have to park at the Ranch 99 lot, unless you can find street parking. I just walk here since it's more convenient.

Excellent bakery. Customer service is top-notch. The pineapple bun with butter is incredibly tasty. The options are so varied. Service is fast and courteous. Definitely will be back for more pineapple bun with butter if I am ever in the area again.

On a Saturday morning in late April. I stopped by to buy mini chicken pies and coconut stuffed bread since I was in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't too crowded at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside space is small and carries cute egg roll boxes, individual bagged breads, gift ideas, cakes, and hot pastries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very good service and the ladies speak English.

I am a big fan of Portuguese egg tarts because of the flaky crust and rich egg custard. This was hands down one of my favorite egg tart I tried. The crust was flaky and wasn't powdery/dry compare to other egg tarts. The custard was rich with a hint of sweetness to it. I went near closing so there were limited items but I can't wait to come back during opening/early afternoon.

Growing up in Hong Kong, Kee Wah Bakery was a household name. I remember eating lots of their cakes and baked bread as a kid. Every time I'm in Los Angeles, I always try to pick up a few items before heading back to Sacramento. I really enjoy their handmade cookies, black sesame eggrolls (wafer rolls), and mango short cake. The hard part is not buying too much! The older ladies that work there are always friendly and chatty. Reminded me so much of Hong Kong! Parking can be tricky and limted in this area. I usually stay at Hilton San Gabriel across the street and walk over.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a tiny store packed with a lot of goodies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I always enjoy their handmade almond cookies and red bean swirl bun. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the store is well-lighted, with regular noise level, breads and pastries are neatly arranged[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the aisles are tight, you can't walk freely in case you bump into another customer or the food items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is no dine-in section, this is purely a to-go store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You pick up a tray and select your pastries then pay up front.

Was in the area visiting for some work happened to be staying at a hotel across the road.....and got really excited when I first arrived and noticed this Kee Wah Bakery directly across the road! For me, I had always known Kee Wah for their moon cakes and that's it, but I heard that they made fresh egg tarts too, so there was no way I was going to pass up a good egg tart! And as luck would have it, they had three kinds! There was their Signature Egg Tarts, Portuguese Egg Tarts, and their Kee Wah Original Egg Tarts. The difference between the three are that the Signature egg tarts have a flaky crust and the Original egg tarts have more of a crusty cookie shellt. As for the egg fillings, both the Signature and Original have a glassy smooth finish, whereas the Portuguese egg tarts have a scorched carmelized finish. All equally yummy, all equally freshly baked hot, all so hard to stop eating! I thought these egg tarts were a bit sweeter than I prefer, so it really depends on your own individual preference. As for the store, the place looked really fun.....like a toy store with very colorful goodies surrounding you....everything was so tempting, but I tried hard to stay focused on what I came here for.....Egg Tarts! Very happy I got to come here today to try one of my all time favorite desserts.

It is considered…read moreto be one of the best destinations for fresh seafood, with the accent on Chinese cuisine. What has shunned me from this place, is the distance and the traffic, from the SFV. Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

Since my husband and I were in the general area, we decided to get a late dinner on a Saturday night. We walked in around 8:45 pm and were acknowledged by an employee after waiting for maybe 5 minutes asking if we would like a table. But the strange thing was that I had told the the employee who acknowledged me that I wanted a table for 2, he didn't sit us. He looked like he was trying to clean the table but then just walked away... but luckily another employee saw us and asked how many for a table. But anyway, after looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: A11: Fish Siu Mai with Rice Roll, $13.99 prior to tax- I ordered this dish, which was plenty for one person (this dish is found under the appetizer section of the menu). I actually really love rice noodles and also fish siu mai so this was a great combination for me. And the peanut and soy sauce mixture poured all over reminds me of when I had freshly made rice noodle in Hong Kong many years ago. But my husband would prefer the rice noodle not to have any of the sauce (or on the side so he can maybe just dip it if he wanted to). I think this dish could use less of the peanut soy sauce mixture too but I still overall really liked this dish. D9: Grilled Pork Chop with Black Pepper Sauce, $16.99 prior to tax- This dish comes with your choice of either steamed white rice or noodle. My husband decided to have rice. He thought the pork chop was delicious and perfectly cooked. He also really liked the black pepper sauce that he picked to go with the pork chop (I know you can also pick a mushroom sauce but I don't recall if there was a 3rd sauce you can choose from or not). Portion wise, this is more than enough for one person since you are getting 2 pork chops. This is actually one of my mom's favorite dishes to order when she goes to any Hong Kong style cafes too. ----------------------------------- (Total= $34.23 after tax, prior to tip) Service was minimal. I spoke both Cantonese and English (well actually my husband spoke English and I spoke in Cantonese. I am just trying to make myself speak Cantonese more) so you shouldn't really have a problem ordering here. I really like the food and I am glad this place does open late. And it was pretty busy as time progressed while we were here. We also saw a few large groups come in and the staff moving quickly to put tables together to accommodate these big groups. Overall, we had a positive dining experience and would come back.
