Service was terrible. Me and my boyfriend had asked the waitress for straws and jam. The table next to us had asked for the same things as us. The table next to us received jam but we did not. Even though the waitress had asked us before she asked the other table. The food was over seasoned and very salty. Was truly excited to try this place. I live nearby and witnessed its construction come to fruition. A friend suggested we try this cafe today. Positives: beautiful decor, clean, short wait times, friendly wait staff (trinity was awesome), excellent menu options, order arrived with efficiency. I had a small hiccup with my waffle (I wanted it cooked light and it came out too dark and more crispy than I prefer) BUT - I would like to give a huge shout-out to Manager "Goliath".... He came to the table and apologized and took ownership of ensuring I received the waffle the way intended. He brought the waffle just the way I wanted, it was perfect and he has become my new HERO! Thank you Keke's for expanding into our Henderson neighborhood (St Rose) location and setting your food and experiences at an exceptionally high level. You have your share of competition here on St Rose and Eastern but I tell you, you have excelled to the top of my charts (and I can tend to be picky with my food). We went on their grand opening day for breakfast and everything was delicious. The chicken and waffle was crispy and the waffle was so good. Their iced coffee is HUGE and we're hoping they can get an espresso machine soon. But this place is always bright, friendly and we have yet to be disappointed after maybe 4 visits since our first time. We've had lunch and the paninis are great. Food was good I got the fajita omelette I thought it would have had sauce on the top of the omelette kind of just plain. The potatoes were good. I had to pay .50 more cents to get sour dough toast which was fine. She did tell me that. So I got a omelette and and ice tea and tip was $28.00 for breakfast. That's very expensive these days. First time at Keke's and was excited to try out the first one in Henderson. Immediately greeted and seated by pleasant hostess. Then sat ignored for 13 minutes. Finally waitress arrived, we asked for water and decaf coffee. Waited another 8 minutes for that. Food was ok, nothing that would bring us back...nothing "crave-able". Ketchup bottle was empty, floor by our table extremely sticky, so much so that my shoes stuck to floor. Asked for GF English muffin. Informed that they have never had GF options since opening 7 weeks ago despite it being listed on menu. Las Vegas and Henderson have many top-notch breakfast and lunch spots. We had breakfast here today, my husband said his pancakes and eggs were good....i have to eat gluten free and the options are very limited according to our server. No clearly marked gf items on the menu. She said I could get the yogurt/granola bowl or eggs and bacon/sausage. They have no gf bread/toast, pancakes or waffles. I usually go to Snooze, Union Biscuit or Craft Kitchen as they have tons of gf options but wanted to check out Keke's because it's right up the street. The final complaint was the creamers they provide for the coffee drinkers. It's coffeemates, different flavors....full of nasty chemicals. Would have preferred cold 1/2 & 1/2 instead. We ate there for breakfast today. The manager walked by when we were first seated and sent someone over to grab our drink order. After that I was a bit nervous because it took about 15 minutes before someone came back to take our order. Was excited to finally try this place after driving past on the way to Costco so many times. The interior decor and everything is very nice and appropriate for a breakfast spot. I usually judge most breakfast restaurants by their eggs and pancakes. It's really hard to find that crispy pancake and fluffy eggs especially when you're paying over $15 a person for them. Both my SO and I got the combos. One pancake with eggs and sausage and one waffle with grits and sausage. Everything came out looking really good. And that's about where all the positives really stop. The pancakes while crispy on the top were a mess to eat and doughy. The waffle was also the same but also kinda chewy? Almost like mochi but I don't remember seeing that on the menu. The eggs were not fluffy. They were pretty dry. The grits had dry patches of uncooked grits inside and the butter served with the pancakes and waffle were cold! Why cold butter?? I will never understand this. The service here at least the time I went was very poor. The managers that were walking the floor actually had to get us our refills because twice the server forgot and it was slow in the dining room. She had two tables including mine. The food is ok but not great. The pancakes were supposed to be sweet but they weren't. They had a lot of what appeared to be cream cheese frosting for the cinnamon roll pancakes but it tasted more like sour cream. The pancakes were totally tasteless and had the consistency of play dough. The server Syaerra or some shit line that (even her name is spelled all messed up ) sucked. I will give credit for the two managers on the floor though because they actually did what she didn't. She was too busy talking to her friends.
